America 1982-Chapter 637 - 145: Premiere_3
"No one told me it was your arrangement," Diane turned to look at Tommy, expressing her surprise.
Tommy said righteously, "If I hadn’t thought about getting it on with you tonight, I wouldn’t have mentioned it. After all, I have to seem like I did you a favor to justify myself so boldly."
"Cough, cough, cough..." Diane Linen, who was drinking, choked on her drink because of Tommy’s words and started coughing violently. Tommy took the glass from her hand and gently patted her back like a gentleman, "It seems this reunion joke isn’t very funny."
"Odelia is pregnant, you shouldn’t joke about that," Diane Linen said seriously to Tommy after taking a deep breath.
Tommy gently stroked Diane’s smooth back and said, "The movie was terrible, but frankly, when you showed up tonight wearing the same evening gown that Odelia wore on our first date in New York, and you had done your hair and makeup to look very much like her, that was the only highlight. It made me feel like the movie had some redeeming qualities. When you came up to ask me, my first thought was to drag this woman to a guest room, especially since Odelia is now pregnant. Given her age, which is a bit on the higher side, to ensure the baby’s safety, the doctor recommended I better not touch her during the pregnancy."
"You don’t strike me as the type of man who lacks female company," Diane said.
Tommy replied, "Aside from high-end escorts, I only have an old, white-haired lady lawyer. But old women are too dominant and way too smart. Sometimes you need a smart woman to work by your side, and it’s okay to share a bed occasionally, but most of the time, you want someone not so bright; a young beauty who likes keeping fit, watches fitness shows, and strikes poses. I don’t have someone like that by my side. You’re pretty much the only one who isn’t a high-end escort or smart, but you’re beautiful and have a nice figure, a pure white beauty."
"Thanks for the compliment, which managed to offend both the old woman’s self-esteem and the self-esteem of this not-so-smart beauty in front of you. Take your hand away!" Diane intensified her tone with Tommy.
Tommy withdrew his hand and looked at the elegant blonde actress before him, "How about, after I’m done with the busy season and I’m on vacation, I finance a biopic starring you? Not a farce like Stephen’s, a biographical film. I think you’re the best choice. Odelia would be too, but she doesn’t like to act. Speaking of which, she’s pretty much the root reason why I fancy European mixed-race blondes."
"Marilyn Monroe?" Diane Linen guessed the name, her curiosity piqued.
Tommy shook his head and offered a different answer, "Jane, Jane Seberg."
"Wow, I didn’t expect that. She indeed was very attractive in every aspect. I liked her ’Saint Joan,’" Diane Linen commented. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
"I want to make a biopic about her life, showing how those damned Black Panthers destroyed this beautiful white angel. Those old blacks preyed on Jane’s sympathy for the Black Panthers, they deceived her, slept with her, and when it came to their own reputations, they didn’t dare to step forward to acknowledge it, leaving her alone to bear the overwhelming questioning and humiliation, ultimately leading to her suicide."
Diane Linen frowned slightly, "That’s different from what I imagined. I thought you would shoot the more touching parts of her early life, not the sad later years."
"What does the life of Jane Seberg tell us? Cherish life and stay away from black people," Tommy lamented as he gazed into the night sky.
"If she were still alive, she’d only be fifty-one by now, a beautiful and elegant older woman. Who knows, I might be willing to try every trick in the book to get with her. When I look for a girlfriend, I use the young version of her from movie posters as a template—blonde, blue-eyed, with an elegant smile and a slight German accent when she speaks."
"Would you really make such a film?" Diane asked Tommy.
She felt that Jane Seberg’s life was indeed captivating, and it would be a privilege for her to portray such a famous actress in a movie.
"Of course, there are many things I’d like to do," Tommy winked at Diane Linen, "Want to hear about them? I could find a room to chat at length."
Diane Linen also gave a playful wink in response to Tommy, "Sure, so if I go to your room to chat, are you still going to generously give me seven hundred thousand dollars?"
"You’re joking, right? Not funny at all," Tommy glared at Diane Linen, "I’ve been talking for so long, from your father to the shitty art of film and Jane Seberg, because you’re dressed very seductively tonight, and I want something to happen with you. But I don’t want to pay for it."
"If you’re not paying, then stay away from me," Diane Linen whispered into Tommy’s ear with a light chuckle.
Tommy, holding his drink and with a sullen face, turned and walked toward the hall. After a couple of steps, he turned back furiously and said to Diane Linen, "Tell your dad to hurry and find a new job."
