"Hey!" Xing Zhan glanced at Li Jian and Qin Feng not far away, his eyes flashing, then charged forward. His combat boots crushed the steel plate, a straight punch aimed at Xu Yufei’s face, which was evaded by Xu Yufei through an inhumanly flexible backward lean.
Xu Yufei’s figure suddenly twisted, his skin transformed into a flowing dark purple jelly-like substance, his limbs elongated, spine arching like a cheetah, and his nails extended into half-meter-long bone blades slashing towards Xing Zhan’s throat. He emitted a low-frequency hiss from his throat, suddenly splitting into three bone spikes that shot out explosively, while his body edged into the black mist behind Xing’s rear, the bone blades carrying a shock wave aimed at his back. Yet, Xing Zhan seemed to have eyes on his back, spinning with a whip-like kick that blew rust off the stage’s guardrail.
"Your demon form is gimmicky!" he spat out some bloody froth, energy gathering patterns extending to his neck, completely absorbing the shock wave energy from Xu Yufei’s strike. Then he leapt, like a meteor crashing down, his right fist charged with all the absorbed attack energy. With a booming sound, a purple shock wave burst open from the center, compressing the air into a sonic boom cloud, intending to force Xu Yufei off the stage.
To everyone’s surprise, Xu Yufei’s demonized body was incredibly tough. Suddenly, crimson mist erupted all over his body. With a step forward, it seemed he nailed his leg to the stage. Then, bending forward with one hand, the cyan scales and bone spikes formed an extraordinarily sharp conical shape at the front, like a knight’s lance. The accumulated crimson mist gathered and charged forward, not only enduring the shock wave force but directly piercing the sonic cloud!
Xing Zhan’s expression turned serious, realizing it, he gripped the impending cone-shaped lance tight, retreating backward with sparks flying from steel combat boots. "Tch, you don’t disappoint, Captain Xu, you’re indeed formidable." Xing Zhan casually wiped his face, turned and jumped off the stage, the battle armor crashing into the ground, leaving a deep pit. He waved without looking back, "I’ll treat you to drinks if we ever have the chance!"
"Send my apologies to Captain Lin." Xu Yufei said at this time, his gaze shifting to the large convoy camp nearby.
