Apocalypse: I Have A Multiplier System-Chapter 513: Taste Of Tenant
Chapter 513: Chapter 513: Taste Of Tenant
She tapped a button, and a countdown appeared on their screen:
[Decision time left: 5 minutes]
One older woman at the table wiped sweat from her forehead. "She’s not giving us much time..."
Another man whispered, "She doesn’t have to. She’s the one with walls, food, soldiers, and nanobots."
Someone else muttered, "She’s scarier than the zombies."
Back in the monitoring room, Su Jiyai leaned back.
"Let’s see who values survival more than pride," she murmured.
A few minutes later, the speaker crackled again.
"We... we’ll join as normal tenants," one leader said. "We can’t afford the club."
Another voice came in. "Same here. Tenant is fine."
One younger woman suddenly spoke up boldly, "I’ll join as a Club!
Su Jiyai smiled softly. "Good. You’ll be assigned Club Building 03. Name your club and prepare your monthly payment."
The woman sounded proud. "We’ll be called the River Hawks."
One by one, decisions came in.
Some chose Clubs.
Most chose Tenant.
And a few simply disconnected, walking away from the deal entirely.
Su Jiyai looked at the final list on her screen. Eight new tenant groups. Two new clubs. And three who refused to join.
She tapped her screen and locked the new arrangement in.
A soft ding echoed again.
System Update:
Total Clubs:2
Total Tenants: 12
Total Expelled: 3 freёnovelkiss-com
New Monthly Income: 20 million coins + rent
"Not bad," Su Jiyai said to herself.
She stood up from her chair, stretched her arms
Su Jiyai stood up from her chair and stretched her arms with a soft yawn.
Her work was done for the day, and even though she had handled the leaders without breaking a sweat, she still felt a little tired.
A gentle smile appeared on her face as she thought of someone—Qin Feng.
"System," she said calmly, "teleport me to Qin Feng’s room."
Hummmm...
The soft, mechanical hum of the teleport system filled the air, and a moment later, Su Jiyai disappeared from her room.
She arrived in a peaceful room with soft lights and clean air. It smelled faintly like sandalwood and fresh herbs.
There, in the middle of the room, Qin Feng was sitting on a cushion with a glowing crystal in his hand. His face looked calm and serious.
His back was straight, and his breathing was slow. He was clearly deep in cultivation.
Su Jiyai didn’t want to disturb him, so she quietly sat on the bed nearby. She crossed her legs and leaned back a little, watching him with curious eyes.
But just then, Qin Feng’s eyes opened. His bright blue eyes sparkled like stars in a night sky.
He looked at Su Jiyai, and a warm smile touched his lips.
"You’re back," he said softly. "Did the meeting go well?"
Su Jiyai nodded. "Yes. Everything went just fine."
She tilted her head and looked at him with a teasing smile. "You really do look good when you’re cultivating."
Qin Feng chuckled and stood up slowly. He walked toward her with calm steps. His tall figure blocked the light behind him, and as he stopped in front of her, his blue eyes met hers.
"Well," he said playfully, "I don’t just look good... I taste good too. Want to test it?"
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow, pretending to be serious. "Hmm... maybe I should. I need to know how my tenants taste in case I ever need to eat them during a food crisis."
Without waiting for another word, she pulled him close and kissed him.
Their lips touched gently at first, but then the kiss grew deeper and more passionate.
Qin Feng pulled her close, and her hands wrapped around his neck. His arms held her tightly.
Slowly, things started to heat up. They leaned into each other, breaths quickening, hearts pounding.
But just when it felt like they were about to take the next step...
Qin Feng pulled away.
Su Jiyai opened her eyes and looked at him with frustration. Her face was slightly red, and she pouted.
"Ugh! How long are you going to punish me for that little prank?" she complained.
Qin Feng laughed, brushing his fingers against her cheek. "You truly crossed the line that day. I’m just making sure you don’t do it again."
"You’re being too strict," Su Jiyai grumbled, puffing her cheeks like an angry cat.
Qin Feng smiled and didn’t answer. Instead, he changed the topic. "When are you going to reveal your identity?"
Su Jiyai blinked, then slowly leaned forward and wrapped her arms around his neck. She rested her head on his shoulder and spoke softly.
"I’m not too fond of the idea. Sure, I want revenge on some people, but I also want peace. Once everyone knows who I really am, they’ll start acting fake.
Some will flatter me, others will use old connections to try and take advantage. It’ll be annoying."
Qin Feng didn’t say anything right away.
He just stood there, holding her. But inside, his heart was full of heavy thoughts.
’Once she shows her real face... people will chase her, he thought. Superhumans. Handsome ones. Strong ones.
They’ll propose to her, flatter her, maybe even fight for her. And why not? She’s rich, powerful, beautiful.
The leader of a massive base. She’s worth trillions and has powers that match even the top superhumans.’
Compared to her, what am I? he thought sadly.
’I’m not even in my own body anymore. My real face... it’s ruined. Burnt. Ugly. I can’t let her see that. What if I lose control and get stuck like that? She’ll leave me for sure.’
He looked down at her, his hand stroking her hair gently.
’I love her, he thought. But I won’t tie her down. If one day she finds someone better and leaves, I’ll let her go. I don’t want her to regret being with me.’
Still, he didn’t say any of this out loud. Instead, he just encouraged her.
"I think you should think about revealing yourself," he said softly. "You’re strong. You don’t have to hide."
Su Jiyai pulled back and narrowed her eyes a little. "Why are you so obsessed with me showing my face?"
Qin Feng gave a small laugh and looked away. "I just think the world deserves to see the real Boss Su."
But deep down, his thoughts were darker.
’Or maybe... I just want to see if I’m the only one who gets to kiss you.’
.........................
The heavy doors of the conference room had barely closed when Base Leader Yong Ren climbed into his dusty armored vehicle with his men.
He sat in the front passenger seat, arms crossed and face sour like he had just bitten into a lemon.
"Ten million coins?" he scoffed. "That woman must be crazy. She thinks she can rob us in broad daylight and call it a contract?"
One of his guards chuckled. "Boss, she didn’t just want money—she wanted our pride too."
Another guy in the back leaned forward. "She’s worse than the zombies. At least zombies don’t charge rent."
"She’s nothing but a greedy witch," another muttered. "Acts like she owns the world just because she has walls and nanobots."
Yong Ren slammed his hand on the dashboard. "She’s just a tyrant wearing perfume! Don’t let that soft voice fool you. She’s rotten underneath."
The group laughed bitterly, their words turning nastier the longer they talked.
By the time they reached their small base—called Ironwood Outpost—the sky was already dark, but fires burned in barrels and spotlights lit the main yard.
The rest of the base members ran to greet them, hopeful expressions on their tired faces.
A young man asked eagerly, "Boss! Did she say yes? Are we joining Hope Base?"
Another woman chimed in, "Yeah! Is Boss Su letting us in?"
Yong Ren snorted. "Boss Su?" He crossed his arms and smirked coldly. "Her name is Boss Su, but after today, we’re calling her Boss Greed."
Confused murmurs spread through the group.
Yong Ren walked toward the center of the camp and climbed on a crate so everyone could see him.
"She didn’t welcome us," he shouted.
"No, instead, she demanded ten million coins! TEN MILLION! Just to let us into Hope Base like we’re stray dogs begging for scraps."
Gasps and angry whispers broke out among the crowd.
"She insulted us!" he continued, his voice rising.
"Said we weren’t worthy of being in her special club! Even her tenants have to pay through the nose just to stand in her precious shade!"
"But I thought she was building a safe zone for everyone?" someone asked weakly.
Yong Ren laughed.
"Safe zone? Ha! She’s building a gold mine for herself. That place isn’t called Hope Base, it’s Coin Base! Everything there runs on cash, not kindness!"
Another man in the group clenched his fists.
"That’s not fair... we’ve been surviving out here for years too. Who is she to look down on us?"
A woman raised her hand and said, "Boss Ren, what do we do then?"
