Apocalypse with my SSS Harem Beauties-Chapter 101: Crashing Down On Him
Myles kept his eyes on the monster. The creature looked wrong now. No laughter or mockery anymore. The arrogance that had filled his presence from the start was gone, replaced by visible strain.
Myles could hear the sound of his breathing becoming heavier. The purple mist clung to his body, but it looked flickering and unevenly instead of flowing smoothly, as if something inside it was resisting the power.
For the first time, the monster looked threatened.
A sharp surge of resolve and bravery cut through Myles’ fear at that instant. He saw a change.
"We can do this!" Myles shouted, his voice cutting through the din and the fading echoes of the monster’s earlier roar. "Attack with me!"
His words rang out across the battlefield.
Nadine, Victor, George, Daniel, Clara, and Kade all heard it. Even Ryan who just arrived also heard it and he also ran toward them.
For a brief moment there was still hesitation lingered in their heart. The purple mist still radiated danger, pressing down on their senses, reminding them how close they had come to being overwhelmed. That fear had not vanished.
But it cracked when they saw Myles standing there with both blades drawn, and saw the monster bleeding and faltering. That lit something fierce inside them.
Their determination surged back, burning through the lingering dread.
Myles already moved and charged with sharp glint in his eyes.
Ether energy flared around his body as he charged forward. Fangblade held in his right hand, the Noctyrix Crescent angled in his left.
His steps were fast and deliberate, closing the distance without hesitation.
The monster’s gaze snapped onto him. Rage twisted its features, purple mist flaring violently as its killing intent locked onto a single target.
"This man... this man is the cause of everything," the monster thought, fury boiling in his heart. "I must kill him first!"
"HRAAAAHHH!!!"
With a roar thick with hatred, the monster shifted his stance, abandoning defense against the others and turning fully toward Myles as he rushed straight into him.
Muzzle flashes and Ether flares erupted almost at the same time.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
Three bullets and three Ether arrows slammed into the monster’s body in rapid succession, detonating sparks of light and splintered mist across his back. Black blood sprayed outward.
The monster only spared them a brief glance over his shoulder. His lips curled, eyes burning with promise and malice, as if etching their presences into his memory.
"I will kill you later."
Then he turned back fully and accelerated toward Myles, killing intent surging so violently that the air trembled around him.
Myles buried his fear deep and pushed harder.
He leapt forward, Ether roaring through his veins, and swung both weapons at once. Fangblade carved from the right. Noctyrix Crescent flashed from the left.
The monster raised both arms and caught the attack head-on.
CLANG!
The impact rang out like metal striking stone. Purple mist surged around his forearms, hardening them instantly and stopping the blades just short of flesh.
He snarled. His lips peeling back to reveal teeth that looked disturbingly human.
Myles felt a chill crawl up his spine when he saw that.
He reacted without wasting anytime.
Myles drove his foot into the monster’s torso and kicked off, forcing distance between them. In the air, he twisted his body and slashed downward with the Fangblade.
He uses Shadow Rend, A crescent of black energy tore free from the blade, moving through the air toward its target. The slash carried dense killing intent, meant to inflict high damage and give another Bleed on his wounds.
The monster crossed his arms again. Purple mist wrapped tighter, thickening into a hardened barrier.
BOOM!
The black crescent exploded on impact. The force blasted the monster backward several meters, his feet gouging trenches into the ground as dust and debris erupted around him.
But the attack didn’t break through.
Myles clicked his tongue. His teeth grinding together.
"RAAAHHH!!!"
The monster roared again, his fury spilling everywhere. The purple mist flared violently, then collapsed into his body.
And then he vanished.
Myles’ eyes widened.
He barely had time to register the movement before the monster reappeared right in front of him.
He was too fast. His speed was seemingly even faster than before.
A massive hand slammed into Myles’ chest.
CRASH!
The blow sent him flying backward. His body skidded across the ground, stone cracking beneath him as he moved through dust and rubble.
Myles dug his Fangblade into the ground to force himself to stop before rolling any farther. His boots scraped hard as he came to a stop, breath knocked from his lungs.
"Kh!" Pain filled his ribs. Fortunately there was a passive skill from Fangblade that would heal a little bit of his health.
He lifted his head just in time to see the monster stepping forward again. The purple mist writhing around him.
Just before the monster could launch himself at Myles again, two figures crashed into the fray from either side.
Nadine and Victor.
They landed almost simultaneously. Neither of them hesitated for even a moment.
Nadine drove forward first. Her Veinpiercer spear flashed crimson as she thrust straight toward the monster’s chest.
At the same time, Victor swung his massive Ichorcleaver in a brutal swing, green light flaring along the blade as he aimed for the monster’s head.
The attacks connected.
The spear pierced deep. The cleaver smashed into the monster’s guard with crushing force.
BOOM!
The combined impact sent the monster staggering backward, his feet lifting off the ground as he was hurled several meters away. His charge toward Myles was broken completely.
He slammed into the ground and skidded, purple mist scattering violently around him.
"Grrr... you!" the monster snarled, fury twisting his face as he glared at Nadine and Victor.
But he didn’t get the chance to recover.
From behind and from the flanks, more attacks surged at him.
George, Daniel, Clara, Kade—and Ryan, who had finally arrived—charged in together. Their weapons ignited with Ether in different hues, streaks of blue, gold, white, and red tearing through the air as they unleashed their attacks all at once.
The battlefield erupted again, pressure crashing down on the monster from every direction.
