Apocalyptic Rebirth: With a repairman system space, she rises again.-Chapter 418: Exo suit.
Back in Westbrook town, the efforts to raise the bubble shield and fill up holes in the ground were on going. Most of the meteors that had been stuck in the streets for months had been removed.
Sunshine had been working at a lunch supply station and finally. It was now time for her second last shift on the spaceship. She went into the back of her truck, locked it from the inside and vanished.
Her appearance immediately had other repairmen smiling. To her, it was a sign of becoming welcomed. To them, it was the arrival of a new season of drama and they could not wait.
Sunshine was very friendly, stopping and greeting everyone along the way. She even gave out some chocolates from earth, the luxury ones of course because she did not want to embarrass her planet.
But she stopped dead when she met Nine.
She groaned. "I cannot believe that we are on the same shift again!" She looked up, beseeching the heavens for answers. "Why me?"
Nine pinched his nose, mandibles clicking loudly. "Vortan," he screeched. "It stinks. It stinks so bad...it must be doing this deliberately." His eyes rolled back as he flew sluggishly away from her.
Thirty seconds later, he fell to the ground, unconscious.
Other repairmen gasped.
Sunshine’s mouth fell open. She looked around, arms raised in defense. "I did not lay a single finger on him." she shouted.
Vortan arrived in a fog as if he had been summoned by the gods. He crouched down and checked on Nine. Then he looked at Sunshine. "He is okay. However, this is going to be a problem for both of us."
"I did not do anything." Sunshine replied, defensively.
Vortan sniffed the air and raised his eyebrows. "Is that anti-bug cream I smell coming from you?"
Sunshine groaned. "Crap!" She had applied the cream to guard against fever wasps, not whatever Nine was. Even though it was not intentional, there was no doubt in her mind that Nine was going to add it to his lawsuit.
Perhaps he would claim attempted murder!

Later, on the quiet drive back to Fortress Four, Sunshine received an alert from the system.
[New world opening in 2 days. Host, are you interested?]
She sighed and accepted, wondering where she would be going this time. Hopefully, somewhere she could find refuge after Nine called on the council of repairmen to sentence her to death.
[Host, I think that I have found the perfect weapon for the watcher problem.]
Immediately Sunshine vanished into the Space.
"Ah! Warn me next time at least!" Nimo yelled, swerving a little.
Inside the Space, Sunshine stretched and said, "Alright System, show me the weapon you found."
The system stayed suspiciously quiet before answering, [Host... prepare yourself. The merits are great but the cost might make you scream, faint, or consider shooting yourself.]
Sunshine frowned. "Huh? How much are we talking?"
[See the weapon first.]
A virtual screen lit up, revealing a sleek white and blue robotic suit. She was astounded. Was the solution looking like Tank?
[This is the Morbed T-59 Combat Exo Suit. It can generate heat strong enough to burn the watcher’s planter surface or padded feet. They cannot lift what is melting their own talons.]
Sunshine pinched her lips. It seemed like they were using a grenade to break an egg. Such a big suit could only harm the padded feet of the watchers! She had been expecting more.
[It has retractable spikes that can pierce through the watchers’ soft feet. In fact, they can rip the legs off entirely.]
Sunshine grinned. "Love that." A watcher that could not fly was a useless one.
[It also has adaptive gravity weight features. If a watcher tries to lift the wearer, the suit instantly becomes extremely heavy. As strong as the watchers are, they cannot carry say....a mega ship or ten of them. It depends on the ability of the suit."
Sunshine clapped. "Perfect."
[An obvious feature. It can fly. Insert coordinates and it navigates on its own. No matter where the watchers drop someone wearing it, the suit will fly the wearer back.]
Sunshine’s eyes widened. "Wow! Really?"
[Yes, and I have not mentioned other battle features like shockwave fists, laser arrays, sonic disruptor, macro missiles.]
Sunshine clapped like candy had been offered to her.
[It comes with a defensive system. An energy shield, cloaking field, magnetic deflectors, cooling system....]
Sunshine laughed and cut in, "Then how do I deactivate it when it get in the hands of an enemy. It’s a possibility."
The system answered, [Then you shut it down. This weapon comes with a system that activates each suit. If what you said happens, then you shut it down. You or I can override it using the central monitor.]
Sunshine was completely sold. "Okay, how much?"
The system hesitated.
"That expensive?" She asked, a little worried. She needed a lot of these for her men, some to sell.
[Two million gold credits, coins, bars... per suit.]
Sunshine choked. "Per WHAT?"
[Suit.]
She dragged her hands down her face. "Are we buying a small planet?"
[A planet is way more expensive, around one to one hundred trillion galaxy coins. In gold, that is in tons not even coins or bars. I suggest that you ask your husband to pitch in.]
"System! Are you sure you are not ripping me off just because my husband is rich?"
The system simply repeated that it was worth the price. [It is a fair price honestly. Around only eight or nine million in your earth currency.]
Sunshine rolled her eyes. Only!! That was a lot of money. For ten suits, she would be spending close to one hundred million! She had too many superhumans under her protection. The bill would be overwhelming.
"Are there old suits I can fix?"
[I advise against that. Repaired suits could be dangerous. They could overheat, fall from the sky, explode_]
Sunshine cut it off. "I trust my skills when it comes to making repairs."
[You once fixed a drone by hitting it with a shoe, it exploded after three months.] the system reminded her.
"After it served its purpose!" Sunshine snapped. "The owner made it clear that it was meant for one time use only."
[But that is not the goal of repairing. Your primary duty is to make the old as good as new. Maybe even better.]
Sunshine muttered, "I am in the service industry, the customer is god. I work according to their needs."
The system only hummed.
Sunshine insisted. "Let’s buy one new suit and the repair manual for Exo Suits."
The system replied, [The repair manual is six thousand pages, one thousand galactic credits or coins for each page.]
Sunshine froze. "Six thousand pages!"
[Yes. Technical diagrams, weapon configurations, structural layers.]
Sunshine gulped. "It is still expensive but alright."
[Great, I will connect a transportation vacuum to your husband’s vault and help myself to some of that gold. A few rubies too. Maybe some....]
"Hey, you sound like a robber."
The system did not respond.
Sunshine rubbed her chest, feeling a burning ache within. She had a feeling that the system was going rogue now that it knew where to find Hades’ stash of wealth.
In no time, it would empty the vault.
She felt the ache and continued to pat her chest. Hades needed a heads up.
After a few minutes, the system announced. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
[Purchase complete. Delivery arriving... now.]
A blinding flash appeared, followed by a giant metallic crate slamming before her with a light sound. Sunshine placed her hand on the warm metal case and nodded. It smelled like fresh paint and steel. Like the suit had come straight from an assembly line.
There was a mark of the universal repairmen on the corner of the case. It was faint, but she caught it.
"System, is this a product from our organization?"
[I never said it wasn’t.] It replied.
Sunshine huffed. "And you did not give me the friends and family discount?"
[Who is your friend and who is your family? Do you need me to draw a family tree of your origins?]
She huffed again and left the space. There was no doubt in the back of her mind that the suit had been tailored to meet her needs. And, the system had calculated Hades’ wealth before deciding on the price.
The trucks had arrived at the base while she was in the space. Nimo had been waiting for her all along and she hopped out of the vehicle.
Sunshine did the same before dragging a bag out. Hardly had she breathed in the air of her safe shelter when Jon practically popped out of nowhere. It was as if he had waiting behind a wall, practicing his entrance.
