Apocalyptic Rebirth: With a repairman system space, she rises again.-Chapter 571: It is easy with a system!
Nine had never wanted to vanish so much from a place. It was bad enough that they were under the sea, but a Glacis princess had it out for him! It was all the fault of the cursed creature named Sunshine.
Why couldn’t the human just do her job and close her mouth? She had to go and please the princess, creating trouble for him! This wrong would be avenged or else, he was not Nine Rathunn, a friend to a friend of a friend, to a cousin of two hundredth Prince Charm Zeburun, of the Heltone Empire.
With a final, lingering look at Sunshine Princess Lita turned on her heel. "I must join the others at the stadium for the ceremony. I trust you won’t let me down Sunshine."
The heavy doors clicked shut, leaving only the three of them in the silent, shimmering museum.
Vortan cleared his throat, the sound echoing off the obsidian walls. "Right. Well, I’m leaving too and I hope that you two will do a splendid job. If you cannot do the repairs, call me and I will find the nearest master repairman to lend you a hand. "
Nine’s eyes practically tripled in size, bulging like a panicked goldfish. "Wait_ what? Leaving? To go where? Back to your office? Into the palace? To watch the games? How can you leave me here alone?"
"I have business to attend to," Vortan said, checking a small device on his wrist.
"Vortan, please! I don’t feel safe!" Nine squeaked, clutching his tool bag to his chest as if it were a shield. "I have come to conclude that this place is as dangerous as it is beautiful. Where I come from, the more beautiful the female, the more deadly. That reality can be extended to this place. Did you see the way the princess looked at me? It was like she wanted to bite my head off."
Both Sunshine and Vortan rolled their eyes in perfect synchronization.
"Nine, the seaweed isn’t going to hunt you, and the princess will not bite your head off," Vortan sighed. He looked at Sunshine, who was already leaning over the glass. "I’ll be back to check on you later. Just concentrate on fixing the box so we can leave this territory soon. If you get hungry, the palace cafeteria is down the hall to the left. Try not to cause any unnecessary trouble."
"Vortan! Don’t leave me with just her! I am sure this human is going to land me in trouble!" Nine pleaded, following Vortan toward the door like a lost puppy.
Vortan didn’t look back. The doors hissed shut, leaving Nine standing there, mandibles clicking. He shuffled back toward the music box, where Sunshine was already unscrewing a side panel.
"Can you believe that princess?" Nine grumbled, pacing back and forth behind her. "Calling me a ’creature’ earlier. So rude. I mean, sure, I am an Insectoid, but ’creature’ makes it sound like I have scales or something. By the way, she has scales"
Sunshine did not respond.
"Why aren’t you saying anything? Aren’t you offended on my behalf? We are partners, I would be offended for you!" Nine claimed.
The words were weak, like he did not believe them.
Sunshine remained quiet, her brow furrowed as she stared at the twitching pearl core. She didn’t have the energy to explain to Nine that being called a "creature" was the least of her worries right now. The pearl core was the energy source of the music box, and it was dull. No doubt, the princess could have replaced it if that was possible or maybe she had and it had not worked. They needed to figure out the problem and not complain about what names he had been called.
As he rumbled on an on, Sunshine communicated with her system. "Run a full diagnostic. Identify the core problem and provide solutions."
[Yes host.]
A holographic interface flickered into Sunshine’s vision, invisible to Nine. The internal gears of the box glowed red on the display.
[Host I have identified more than one problem. First, there is Viscosity Imbalance.
The glowing liquid which is the Aktith-aqua Solution has crystallized due to age, turning from a fluid into a thick gel. The merman’s motors aren’t strong enough to push through it.
Two, the Pearl core which is the energy source powering the box has developed micro fractures. Energy output is unstable.
Also, the silver crank has a minor fracture, preventing the spring from releasing the full kinetic energy needed for the ballet like movements of the merman on the surface of the sea.]
Sunshine nodded, this seemed like it was going to take some time. "What solutions do you have for me?" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
[These are the proposed solutions.
One, inject a 10% solution of Thermal-Catalyst into the Aktith-aqua Solution to melt the crystals instantly. Risk: May cloud the glass permanently.]
Sunshine shook her head. "If the glass gets clouded then the Princess will not be able to watch the merman dancing. It defeats the purpose of fixing the box."
[Drain 12% of the Aktith-aqua Solution
Reintroduce balanced new batch of the same percentage or if we can get too much of it, you can replace the liquid entirely. The only challenge is that I have to find a genuine supplier, there are many fakes on the market.]
"Okay do that. Next." Sunshine said.
[The solution for the core fragment, I advise that you remove the pearl. Seal the micro fractures using focused thermal filament or cryo-binding sealant which you can easily do but be careful, that is an Illum pearl which easily breaks. Only after fixing the pearl can, you replace the Aktith-aqua Solution.]
"Sounds doable." Sunshine said. She was very careful when it came to handling fragile things. Otherwise, she would not have fixed those eggs.
[Removing the core will temporarily silence the music box. Restart requires synchronized activation pulse. You can do that by jump starting it with a bolt of current, which you have.]
"And the silver crank?" Sunshine asked.
[Just repair the legs, that is the easiest of them all.]
Sunshine nodded, "Thank you system." She said turning to her teammate. "Nine, I know how we can fix the music box, but you have to follow my instructions to the T." She said, finally breaking her silence.
"Oh! She speaks!" Nine sneered.
"Stop pacing and complaining let’s get the job done," she ordered, not looking up.
Nine scoffed, standing in one position. "Do not order me around, you are not my boss. And I am not pacing! I am scanning and running diagnostics on this damn sea music box!"
Sunshine sighed, "There is nothing need to stress your little antennae about that, I already found the problem."
"Oh yeah?" Nine crossed two pairs of his legs. "And how did you do that?"
"The system you dumb ass." Sunshine said. "Oh! My bad.....I forgot you do not have one."
Nine growled. All that injustice he had been feeling all day about the favoritism Sunshine was experiencing returned to the surface.
