Apocalyptic World: Surviving with my husband and my cute little babies-Chapter 305: New members(1)
While the meeting between them marked the beginning of a new alliance — likely between the military and the Paradise Shop — chaos was unfolding elsewhere.
In the northeast area, a group of survivors was running at full speed, ignoring the searing 80°C heat.
Fear pushed them forward as they desperately tried to escape the humanoid lizard chasing them. This creature had already massacred nearly everyone at their improvised base.
It hunted awakened survivors — especially those who had just formed newborn cores — treating them like prized delicacies.
For the creature, consuming these cores was the fastest way to grow stronger. So, it did not hesitate, killing without mercy.
Now, only a few survivors remained, sprinting toward a nearby military base in hopes of rescue.
"Move! Faster... they’re coming!" one of them shouted in panic as the humanoid figures drew closer.
Out of the ten who had escaped together, six had already been captured. The remaining four ran with everything they had.
But the humanoid creature’s superior strength and speed meant it was only a matter of time.
"How far are we from the military camp? The one near... what’s it called... Camel Tower?" one survivor gasped, struggling to breathe.
"It’s Camel Tower area... about ten kilometers left. We have to move faster!" another replied nervously.
"Easy for you to say — your wind ability boosts your speed! Those of us with earthly abilities can barely keep up!"
"Enough arguing!" the acting leader snapped.
"Split into two groups. Head for the military camp from different directions. Whoever arrives first will alert them."
It was a calculated risk. But if they stayed together and were caught, all of them would die at once. Separating increased the chances that at least someone might survive.
With heavy breaths and trembling resolve, they split into two groups and ran in different directions toward the military camp.
From a distance, the humanoid lizard observed their movement.
Then it moved.
With terrifying speed, it lunged forward, targeting the nearest two survivors first — planning to deal with the others afterward.

Back in Lieutenant Fern’s unit, Elena summoned the Golden Tablet, preparing to mark General Kaiser and Brother Elias as new members of their group.
After hearing the information she had shared, General Kaiser was completely stunned, struggling to process everything.
Brother Elias, on the other hand, was fascinated. His eyes were fixed on the Golden Tablet.
To him, it radiated dense and powerful spiritual energy — just like the legendary artifacts often mentioned in monastery records.
"How can this object contain such massive spiritual energy?" he murmured. "It’s glowing so intensely."
Elena was slightly startled.
Finally, someone could see the Golden Tablet’s true magnificence — unlike her husband, who always claimed it looked rough and poorly made.
"See? The Golden Tablet truly looks magnificent," she said smugly, glancing at Ethan.
Her proud expression almost made Ethan lean forward and kiss her right there in front of the two men. But, as usual, he restrained himself, not wanting to embarrass her.
"Hmmp..." Ethan muttered in response, silently admitting defeat for now.
He let it go — but he was already planning to retaliate later that night.
Elena then stepped closer to the two men and retrieved a sterilized needle.
"Who will go first?" she asked calmly.
"Let me," Brother Elias responded without hesitation.
General Kaiser glanced at him in surprise. Brother Elias was usually cautious and preferred to observe first, often letting others test uncertain matters.
But this time, he stepped forward willingly.
Without delay, Brother Elias pricked his finger and let a drop of blood fall onto the Golden Tablet.
The blood was instantly absorbed, and a glowing mark appeared on his wrist. Soon, a strange energy surged into his body.
At first, his spiritual power resisted the unfamiliar force. But soon, the two energies merged smoothly and settled inside his mind.
A core formed within his head, granting him access to the abilities connected to the Golden Tablet.
Everyone watched him closely — especially General Kaiser.
"How do you feel?" he asked.
Brother Elias slowly opened his eyes. "I feel... refreshed. My body is filled with spiritual energy.... Fascinating."
He paused, then looked at Elena. "Would you mind explaining what this core inside my head is?"
"Ahem. Let me have my turn first," General Kaiser cut in, unwilling to be left behind.
He took another needle and pricked his finger firmly. The moment his blood touched the Golden Tablet, it was absorbed just the same.
A new core soon formed beside his size-manipulation core.
He couldn’t help but laugh in excitement — believing he was now a dual-ability user.
Before they could fully process the changes, Elena began explaining the basics — including the space ability [Inventory], mental ability [Telepathy] and the safe haven known as ’Paradise.’
"Well, Paradise is a space where I cultivate supplies," she explained. "And everyone inside has a role in helping it prosper. More importantly, it serves as a retreat if you are ever in danger."
The information immediately intrigued the two men. Their eyes widened, filled with curiosity and excitement.
Seeing the obvious interest in their expressions, Elena decided to bring them inside for a tour.
"Alright, let’s head to Paradise. To do that, just press the mark on your wrist to enter."
They quickly nodded and followed the instructions carefully. In the next moment, both men vanished from the unit.
Seeing the two disappear, Ethan then instructed Lieutenant Fern to remain outside, telling him that they would return shortly.
Inside the space, Brother Elias stood still, mesmerized by the towering trees and vibrant flowers blooming all around them.
It truly lived up to its name — Paradise. A heaven separated from the chaos outside.
Now that they could enter freely, he felt as if they had won a great fortune by aligning themselves with Elena and Ethan.
What they did not know was that once marked, Elena held absolute authority over them.
Even so, both men believed she was trustworthy enough not to abuse that power.
"How can it be this beautiful?" General Kaiser exclaimed, crouching down to touch the grass that shimmered vividly under the warm sunlight.
"I wouldn’t mind living here for the rest of my life."
"Stop acting like a child," Brother Elias said dryly when he saw the general lying flat on the grass.
"You’re a general. Behave like one."
"You can’t blame me," General Kaiser shot back. "I miss this feeling — the clean air, the greenery, and the warmth of the sun."
Outside, the sunlight was no longer comforting. It was deadly. The heat alone was enough to kill.
