Apocalyptic World: Surviving with my husband and my cute little babies-Chapter 76: I’m not done yet
Chapter 76: I’m not done yet
Elena and Ethan emerged at Oslo’s designated location, standing confidently on the rooftop of the building. From their vantage point, they could see the bunker in the distance.
They had successfully secured the goods, completing their heist without a hitch. With everything in order, they were ready to leave City B.
"Oslo, go ahead and leave first," Elena instructed, her tone firm.
"Remember to stay no more than 1 kilometer away from me so we can safely exit to your location again."
Oslo and Ethan exchanged puzzled glances, unsure why Elena had chosen not to leave together. They couldn’t understand her decision to stay behind.
"Wife?" Ethan asked, his brow furrowing in confusion.
Elena sighed and turned to look at them, her expression serious.
"It’s such a waste if we all leave together," Elena said, her voice steady.
"Let Oslo take the initiative to move first, and we’ll exit to his location later. I’m not done with these criminals yet."
They watched as Elena retrieved the long-range sniper rifle from space, her movements precise and deliberate as she carefully set up the weapon in a location ideal for sniping.
Oslo and Ethan exchanged glances, a mix of amazement and confusion on their faces.
"How does she plan to lure them out?" Oslo whispered to Ethan.
"She must have a strategy in mind," Ethan responded as he watched his wife intently, captivated by her unwavering concentration.
Elena looked at them, not moving from their current spot.
"Oslo, what are you waiting for? Move and use a motorcycle so you can cover some distance," Elena urged as she adjusted the sniper rifle.
"Be careful, though—the rain is getting stronger, and this damn tornado isn’t done wreaking havoc," she added.
Oslo didn’t ask any further questions. He nodded and swiftly made his way down the stairs of the building, his mind focused on the task at hand.
Ethan was now looking at the situation; the tornado was approaching, yet his wife was busy taking her revenge.
’Well, I have to listen to my wife.’
"Wife, what exactly did you do to the inventory room," Ethan asked, seeing his wife’s confident look that these criminals would leave at the bunker later.
"You’ll find out soon," Elena said mysteriously, a hint of excitement in her voice as she adjusted the sniper rifle one last time.
’Since they love to ambush people, let them have a taste of their own medicine.’
After setting up the weapon, she settled into a comfortable position. She was focused as she scanned the area through the scope.
Suddenly, a deafening explosion erupted from the bunker.
Boom!
Ethan’s eyes widened in realization.
"You put a bomb?"
Elena nodded, her gaze fixed on the distant bunker where smoke began rising. freewёbnoνel.com
"Yeah, aside from the emergency exit grand heist, I want to confuse them even more. I want them to think that their rival gang is making a move on them."

The Iron Gang members were enjoying their drinking party when a sudden tremor shook the bunker.
Initially, they dismissed it as just another earthquake, but their festivities were abruptly interrupted by the blaring alarm and a red alert flashing on the control panel, signaling a fire in a specific section of the bunker.
Panic surged through the gang as they scrambled to escape, gripped by the fear of suffocating in the thickening smoke.
Fortunately, the bunker’s air ventilation system was activated, effectively clearing the air and guiding them toward the emergency exits.
Once outside, they paused to catch their breath, feeling momentarily safe. However, an unsettling feeling hung into them as if a greater threat was lurking nearby.
"What happened?" the Iron Gang boss demanded, his voice cutting through the chaos.
"An explosion, Boss," one of the gang members replied, his face pale with fear.
"We don’t know the cause yet, but the explosion originated in the..." another gang member said, pausing for a moment, hesitant to reveal the location of the blast.
"Where? Stop making me guess!" the Iron Gang boss snapped, his frustration evident.
"In the inventory section," the gang member replied, his voice trembling slightly.
"What did you say?" the boss demanded, narrowing his eyes.
"The explosion occurred in the inventory room, boss," the gang member repeated.
"Then what are you doing? Go and stop the fire!" the boss barked, his impatience growing.
"Boss, we also stored explosive items in there. It would be dangerous for our people," the gang member replied, his voice shaky.
"I don’t care!" the boss shot back, his eyes blazing with anger.
"Once the food supplies burn, we have no food left to feed the gang. We need to act now!"
The gang member hesitated, torn between the risk of an explosion and the dire consequences of losing their supplies.
"But, Boss—"
"No buts! Get everyone organized and head to the inventory room. We can’t afford to lose everything we’ve worked for!"
They rushed to the inventory room but gasped at the sight before them. Aside from some damage and flickering flames, there were no items left.
Confusion filled the air as they struggled to comprehend how everything had disappeared.
"Did the bomb really wipe everything out?" one gang member asked.
But the inventory room itself wasn’t completely destroyed, so they should have been able to salvage something.
Instead, there were no traces of the items—nothing at all.
Realizing the seriousness of the situation, they hurried back to report to the Iron Gang boss, who was now in a foul mood.
"What do you mean there’s nothing left?" he growled, his frustration evident.
"Yes, boss, the inventory is empty," the gang member replied, trying to keep his voice steady.
The boss furrowed his brow, deep in thought.
"Where are the guards?"
"They’re gone, boss."
"Gone how? Dead, or just vanished?"
"No one was found in the inventory, boss."
"Then they must be the ones who took everything. Go find them!"
Before they could move, another report came in.
"Sir, at the emergency exit, we found a lot of grains on the floor. Someone has already taken the goods, and this bomb was a distraction."
The boss’s expression darkened as he realized the guards had betrayed them.
"Let’s move and find them now!" he commanded, anger boiling inside him.
’How dare these bastards steal my goods? I will make them bleed for this.’
The gang quickly left the bunker to survey the exit area, searching for any sign of the robbers.
Elena watched with a sinister smile; the moment she had been waiting for had finally arrived.
She spotted a truck filled with people driving toward different locations.
Taking a deep breath, she aimed her sniper rifle at one of the drivers and pulled the trigger.
BANG!
The shot rang out, and he fell dead.
Ethan glanced at her, astonished.
’How can she snipe someone in this kind of weather?’
Without hesitation, Elena focused on another target.
BANG!
The shot found its mark—a clean headshot.
The gang members finally realized they were being targeted. They quickly took cover behind various buildings, assessing the situation to identify the source of the attack.
"Boss, maybe it’s the rival gang retaliating for what happened earlier?" one member suggested, his voice laced with concern.
"We already have an agreement. It’s definitely not them," the boss replied, his tone firm.
"Boss, the sniper is on top of that XXX building," another gang member pointed out, squinting to get a better look.
"Then what are you waiting for? Take it down!" the boss ordered.
The other gang members bravely approached the building, but Elena precisely picked them off. She had already taken down 15 of them.
As Ethan noticed more gang members making their way upstairs, he quickly alerted her.
"Wife, let’s go! They’re coming."
Elena nodded, and in an instant, both of them vanished once again.
