Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy-Chapter 954: The Oppressed
Chapter 954: The Oppressed
"Shadow Domain’s Divine Crafter?" Kent and Thassa repeated at the same time.
It was such an incredible name after all. Someone who could obtain such a title was definitely not a simple figure. Furthermore, with the title’s hint, this crafter was most likely an Immortal.
The young woman noticed that they were quite clueless... However, she wasn’t too surprised since she already met all kinds of Arcanists in this town.
Well, it was most likely that these people were Arcane Researchers and had been in their laboratory for a long time. She previously met an Arcane Researcher who was trying to create a serum that could allow humans to regenerate limbs like lizards. The old researcher doesn’t even have an idea about the destruction of the Church of the Three Paragons.
He had holed himself underground for many years just to advance his research. In the end, all his resources were used up, and could no longer continue. So, he had to work once again with the help of the Association.
"The Shadow Domain is a special place between the Ruri Kingdom and the Millton Kingdom. I heard that place had numerous Divine Immortals and other powerful beings... That’s where the Divine Crafter came from."
As soon as they heard about the Divine Immortals, the two immediately exchanged glances. This seemingly simple information was incredibly valuable for the two of them.
"Interesting..." Thassa muttered as he realized that hiding their divinity and aura was definitely a good idea. Since they learned that there’s really an Immortal Organization in this world, they had to be careful.
After all, it wouldn’t be surprising if they found several more organizations governed by Immortals!
"Alright... Thassa. Go ahead and test it now. I just confirmed that there’s no problem with the crystal. It’s not linked to any external Immortal items." Kent whispered as he used a bit of his abilities to ensure that the information that they’d provide to the crystal would not be sent outside.
Thassa nodded at this as he stepped forward...
"I’ll be careful." He said.
Of course, he meant that he had to be careful not to reveal the full extent of her power. Then, as he extended his hand, fiery energy was focused on his hand.
He then touched the orb to channel the energy into it...
Just like that, the crystal glowed slightly, shifting from a soft orange to a deep, red.
The woman’s eyes widened. "Impressive! Your control and intensity are remarkable. You’re clearly a skilled Fire Elementalist."
Thassa smiled modestly. "Thank you. I’ve had years of practice."
He was certainly satisfied that the mastery he had shown was not too low and not too high based on the reaction of the young woman.
Then, Kent stepped up next and copied Thassa’s movement.
He also focused his energy on his hand before channeling it to the orb.
Soon, the crystal glowed with a steady, vibrant red, though not as intensely as Thassa’s. It was enough to pass the test without drawing too much attention.
"Well done," the woman said, jotting down notes on a parchment. "You’re both clearly proficient. I’ll register you as members of the Association. Please fill up this form for your identification badges."
Apparently, the registration was quite simple. There wasn’t even a need for any other proof of identity.
Well, it seemed to be because of the Arcanists’ habit of disappearing for a long time. It was quite normal for them to have expired identifications or even forgotten information because of their memories, especially for Dark Arts Practitioners.
Soon, the receptionist was able to provide them with badges.
"Here are your identification badges."
She handed them each a small, intricately designed badge that contained a faint magical aura. "These will allow you to access the mission board and take on assignments. They also serve as proof of your membership. Welcome to the Arcanist Association!"
Kent and Thassa thanked her.
"Is this item also made by the Divine Crafter?" Kent asked curiously.
The receptionist smiled and shook her head.
"It was made by First-Class Runemaster of our Association. Don’t worry, that’s quite tough since those badges are from Shadow Consortium, they’re the official partner of Shadow Domain for external trades."
’Shadow Consortium...’ Kent repeated in his mind. It was another organization that they have to look out for.
After expressing their gratitude again, they finally made their way to the mission board.
Now, their badges were pinned to their cloaks, so the guards or officers watching didn’t stop them from looking.
"Let’s see..." Kent muttered as he looked at the board. The two were certainly looking forward to seeing them since learning about these missions would allow them to know what was going on around this town or even this country.

"Exorcism, huh..." Thassa muttered.
There were actually quite a few of them with similar requests. It seems that there were a lot of evil spirits lurking around.

"Eminence of the Sea..." Kent muttered.
"Why are they called remnants though? How could they disappear? Who did they offend? Don’t they have the Avatar of their god to protect them?" Thassa was confused.
"Who knows... There could have been a battle between these churches." Kent replied with a smile.
"That’s true—Ahh... Look at this mission." Thassa suddenly said as he looked at the posted mission on the board.
[ "Hunt for Chaos Arts Practitioners" ]
