Footsteps came from behind. He Jie was just about to curse to vent a bit.
Then he heard a sweet voice say, "Dad."
He quickly turned his head and saw his daughter in a dress walking over, his face instantly broke into a wide smile like Old Gao.
"Zhenzhen, why did you come here? Don’t come over, it’s slippery here. I’ll go over to you!"
He Jie took two steps and was beside his daughter.
He Zhenzhen pouted and said, "You haven’t come home for dinner for days, so Mom asked me to bring you some food."
He Jie took the lunch box, his old face blooming like a flower with a smile, but soon he put on a stern face and said, "You two don’t need to worry about it. Once I’m done with work, I’ll come home. Also, don’t come up here next time; it’s windy and slippery here. What if you fall into the water?"

He Jie gobbled down the food and watched his daughter leaving.

He Zhenzhen didn’t know her dad was already fuming mad.
Her lively eyes glanced at the shadowy edge, spotting Qu Hang who was holding a sniper rifle, with his presence barely noticeable.
She quickly walked over, the corners of her black long skirt fluttering.
Qu Hang, who was dozing off, moved his ears and looked somewhat puzzled.
Why is He Jie cursing at him early in the morning?
He lifted his eyelids and saw He Zhenzhen walking towards him.
"Why are you here?"
The girl had a faint smile on her face, holding a food box in her hand, "I came to bring my dad food, but my mom cooked too much. I thought he couldn’t finish it all, and we’ve already eaten; it would be a waste to take it back, so I brought it for you."

Once He Zhenzhen’s figure disappeared, He Jie jumped down with a fierce expression and snatched the lunch box from Qu Hang’s hands.
He opened it, sneered, and said, "Even got a chicken leg? What level do you think you are? Eating the same meal as me?!"
Qu Hang wasn’t really short of this meal. As one of the few senior officers on the armed train, he too could eat with the train captain in the dining car, with plenty of rice and meat.

Getting beaten over a meal that’s neither here nor there isn’t worth it.
Having experienced so much since the end of days, Qu Hang’s feelings for his teacher had long faded.
