Ascension of the Sylvan Cosmos-Chapter 659. Plans For Berries. Monster Ticket Gacha Pulls!
After speaking with them for a while more, Liu Shu began her preparation for the <Temple Of Eternity> Materials and the berry dimension. The first thing she did was ask the Dungeon System a few very important questions.
"<Dungeon System>, now that I’ve become my own realm, is it possible to create <Dungeons> inside my own canopy?"
[Dungeon System: A <Dungeon> can be created in any location where a <Feat> or <Legend> of a certain level has been achieved. The <Dungeon>’s potential will always be relative to that <Feat> or <Legend>. Later upgrading that potential is possible by either making the <Feat> or <Legend> more prominent and resounding, or using materials and/or stronger normal and/or Boss Monsters.]
Liu Shu read that and summarized it. "A special happening creates the ability for a <Dungeon> to spawn. That <Dungeon> can then be upgraded by planting stronger monsters or making that special event even more popular or grand. Got it."
She already knew this, but rechecking her knowledge was never something extra. A recent upgrade of this degree occurred in the <Blood Curdling Cave>, the previous Terragore Empire. Thanks to the absolutely powerful <Oracle Terragore Queen> and its new trait, the <Dungeon> made an incredible transformation.
With that in mind, Liu Shu was 100% sure that she could create a <Dungeon> in her <Realm>. After all, the <Feat> she achieved was nothing less significant than whatever she used in the past to form the existing <Dungeons>.
Once she was sure that it was possible, the problem became another. "<Dungeon System>, once I create the <Dungeon> in my canopy, what kind of rewards will the people who enter get?"
[Dungeon System: <Dungeon Rewards> are tied down to the <Feat> or <Legend> that created the <Dungeon>. To make it simpler, the System will use an example: the <Earth Rumbling Dungeon> has rewards related to dragons and many nature-affinity materials. The equipment inside also has a high chance of getting primary and secondary options that help combat draconic creatures. The flora and fauna inside are equally affected, as sub-dragon species roam every corner of it. This is all because of the <Boss Monster>’s influence.]
The answer was not a direct confirmation, but Liu Shu was satisfied. ’If that’s the case... Perhaps I can get <Eternal> attributed materials from here. After all, part of me will become an actual <Dungeon>, with rewards and such. Only...’
"System, since the <Dungeon> will be intricately linked to me, what will happen to it as I get stronger and my <Realm> matures?"
[Dungeon System: The <Dungeon> will grow. The <Dungeon System> allows for modifications. However, once created, if interfered with too much, there is a risk of <Dungeon Collapse>. The <Dungeon Collapse> would not hurt Tianlian Liu Shu. However, it would make the space-time in the location too turbulent for a long time, making the spawning of a new <Dungeon> impossible.]
Liu Shu hummed, her thoughts churning as countless paths opened in front of her. With her knowledge, the number of <Dungeon Layouts> she could think of was many. What she was a bit unsure about was the type of monsters that would appear.
Even when she asked, the <Dungeon System> was unsure. It only answered that the monsters would be related to the origin of the <Feat> or <Legend>. "If that’s the case, the chance of enemies that can manipulate <Eternal> energy is not too far-fetched. Not to mention, the <Boss Monster> that would spawn naturally might be quite... tricky to deal with. Still..."
Liu Shu was endlessly tempted. What if the monsters dropped Berries as a reward for defeating them? What if the layout managed to spawn <Eternal> materials? What if she could later create gates toward this realm and get spoils from it?
There were so many "what ifs" that passing on the opportunity felt foolish. More so when the only drawback she currently knew of was <Dungeon Collapse>. "There are no more dangers, right?"
[Dungeon System: The only specialness of this particular <Dungeon> is its origins. Beyond that, the <Dungeon> will act as any other would.]
"Got it." What Liu Shu needed to take into account the most was the stability of the spatial-temporal link of the <Dungeon>.
"Alright, <Dungeon>, let’s do some rolls! Hehehe. I need a nice and proper <Boss Monster> for this <Dungeon>!"
Her gaze moved toward her massive inventory, and she began scrolling through the thousands of different materials. "Not here... not here either... Ugh. The fact that all the items in the <Lignified Vault> appear here is quite a headache... Ah! Found them!"

Inventory: ... <Superior Woodiron Alloy> x1,505, <Super Rare Ticket> x 31, <Ultra Rare Ticket> x8, <Legendary Ticket> x6, <Mythical Ticket> x8, <Viscous Glue Sap> x10,354...

"...Huh?" Liu Shu looked at it one more time and saw that she had not seen it incorrectly. "When did I even get <Mythical Tickets>? System, show me the messages!"
[Congratulations! You’ve discovered a new <Mythical> species: <Sapling Eternal Universal Tree>. You gained x1 <Mythical Ticket>.]
[Congratulations! You’ve discovered a new <Mythical> species: <Infant Thermis Chaos Sylvan>. You gained x1 <Mythical Ticket>.]
[Congratulations! You’ve discovered a new <Mythical> species: <Infant Aetherlord Flower Fairy>. You gained x1 <Mythical Ticket>.]
[Congratulations! You’ve discovered a new <Mythical> species: <Sapling Spacerift Willow Life Tree>. You gained x1 <Mythical Ticket>.]
...
Liu Shu silently checked and saw the other four were her other three lovers and Ignatia. "What a pleasant surprise! I didn’t expect our races to count as discoveries."
Honestly, the way it gave tickets was really arbitrary. Thankfully or not, the System couldn’t be called either stingy or generous. While she could receive more rewards, Liu Shu knew that the system could be much more strict with the vague requirements.
This time, though, Liu Shu was willing to say that the <Dungeon System> had been exceptionally generous.
"Show me the probabilities to refresh the memory."
[Dungeon System: Understood.]
[<Super Rare Ticket> chances: <Common> 35%, <Unusual> 20%, <Rare> 20%, <Super Rare> 15%, <Ultra Rare> 5%, <Legendary> 2.5%, <Mythical> 1.5%, <World> 1%.]
[<Ultra Rare Ticket> chances: <Unusual> 35%, <Rare> 25%, <Super Rare> 20%, <Ultra Rare> 10%, <Legendary> 5%, <Mythical> 3%, <World> 1.5%, <Core> 0.5%.]
[<Legendary Ticket> chances: <Rare> 40%, <Super Rare> 25%, <Ultra Rare> 15%, <Legendary> 10%, <Mythical> 6%, <World> 2.5%, <Core> 1.4%, <Star> 0.1%.]
[<Mythical Ticket> chances: <Super Rare> 40%, <Ultra Rare> 30%, <Legendary> 12%, <Mythical> 9%, <World> 5%, <Core> 3%, <Star> 0.95%, <Galactic> 0.05%.]
Liu Shu blinked when she read them, and as she did, a frown appeared on her face. "Um... System. Why are the chances for the highest rarities becoming lower and lower?"
[Dungeon System: The energy needed to pull the higher rarities is not linearly larger. Hence, the chances are less even when the ticket’s ability to draw energy is larger.]
"...Why did you have to have a reasonable explanation? Now I can’t bash you with words!"
[Dungeon System: ...]
"Anyway, with so many tickets, I could splurge a bit, no?" Liu Shu was tempted to use all of them, but she knew not to. What if later she would need them? Therefore, Liu Shu decided to use 5 of each tier!
"Alright, five of each won’t really hurt me much, right?" Previously, she had an extremely lucky draw, so she was expecting good results this time around!
"Deep breaths... deep breaths... AH! I AM NERVOUS! HUUUU... HAAAAA...." Thankfully, she didn’t have proper lungs, or she would’ve most likely choked on air.
Everyone in the city saw the World Tree start to squirm, puzzling them. However, other than a few glances, no one really bothered excessively with her. Well, some in the <Eternal Church> were currently drawing down Liu Shu’s squirming figure with a passionate fire burning in their eyes, but other than those fanatics, the rest went on with their day.
(Author Note: The following rolls have been done with an RNG roulette with proper percentages.)
Liu Shu began with the five <Super Rare Tickets>.
"Alright, first roll!"
A circular roulette appeared in front of Liu Shu. Each section of the roulette was of its corresponding percentage size, making the <World> rarity look like a super thin slice of purple.
Then, it rolled.
Liu Shu’s gaze lasered into the spinning roulette. It spun for about 20 seconds and then slowed down. The arrow passed the Common, Unusual, and Rare rarities, and then it began slowing down. Liu Shu almost burnt a hole in the roulette as it slowly passed the Super Rare section, its speed barely a crawl. "UGHH! GO, PUFF, PUFFF, PUFFF!"
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Ultra Rare> creature.]
"WOAH! A 5% pull in the first one! Today will be a good day!" She giggled happily, and then she spun the other four at the same time. "Let’s get rid of these four and go to the next one!"
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Super Rare> creature.]
"Mhm."
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Mythical> creature.]
"Mhm... Eh?"
[Congratulations!...]
"STOP! What did you just say!?"
The system obediently repeated the message.
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Mythical> creature.]
(O_O)
A wave of both happiness and regret washed over Liu Shu’s body. "If I had used the <Mythical Tickets>, I would’ve pulled a <STAR> creature!!! ARGHHH!!!"
She was happy about the <Mythical> 1% pull, but she was also regretful enough to have her roots tangle into a knot.
"Sigh... Give me the other two."
[Super Rare Tickets: Ultra Rare, Super Rare, Mythical, Common, Rare.]
"Look at that lineup... Woah..."
And so, with sparkling eyes, Liu Shu moved toward the <Ultra Rare Tickets>.
"PULL! PULL! PULL!"
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Unusual> creature.]
"Oh."
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Rare> creature.]
"...Oh."
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Ultra Rare> creature.]
"Mm..."
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Super Rare> creature.]
"Hmm..."
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Super Rare> creature.]
"..."
Liu Shu sighed. While she pulled a 10% <Ultra Rare>, it was nothing compared to her first five pulls. A wave of depression struck her, as the regret of starting with the <Super Rare Tickets> gnawed at her once more.
"Let’s... move on. Five <Legendary Tickets> coming through!"
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Rare> creature.]
"...Uh."
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Rare> creature.]
"UHH..."
Liu Shu was about to start crying. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Legendary> creature.]
"NICE! SIGH, I CAN BREATHE AGAIN."
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Legendary> creature.]
"Whoa! Again! Two 10% pulls in a row!"
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Super Rare> creature.]
She was satisfied with this one. "While there are no super pulls, the results are great! Two <Legendary> creatures are a nice loot."
Then, she looked at the five final ones. Honestly, she was starting to regret using them. However, since she decided to go through, Liu Shu would not stop!
"Whatever happens, happens! Let’s go, five <Mythical Ticket>! Surprise me!"
When the <Mythical Ticket> roulette appeared, it sparkled with impressive lights. Compared to the others, it was much more luxurious. Showing how rich the rewards were.
The roulette spun!
Liu Shu was excited. "<Mythical Ticket>, show me your great rewards!"
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Super Rare> creature.]
"ARGH!" The World Tree physically flinched when the worst result came through in the first roll.
At the verge of coughing up blood, Liu Shu’s root tremblingly moved and clicked the roulette to spin again.
The luxurious circle of addiction spun rapidly, slowing down and finally stopping after 30 seconds.
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Legendary> creature.]
"..." She should’ve been happy. But a <Legendary> in a <Mythical Ticket> was clearly a loss!
As her roots tangled with anxiousness, she pulled the thing once more.
The roulette spun, and Liu Shu decided not to look. Her heart couldn’t take it.
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <World> creature.]
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
"Oh, wait."
Liu Shu blinked and looked at the message again. "WORLD! I PULLED A WORLD RARITY! HAHAHA!"
Looking at the innocent mountain she just flipped upside down, Liu Shu guiltily picked up the debris and tried to stack it up again. "Sorry, Vorathen... I pulled the trigger too quickly."
┬─┬ノ( º _ ºノ)
How quickly the addiction took over...
"Pull again!"
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <World> creature.]
"Another one!? Hehehehehe. Give me another one!"
[Congratulations! You’ve gained a random <Super Rare> creature.]
"Alright, fair. I was getting my hopes up too high. Still, you could’ve not slapped me with the lowest rarity for the final pull, right? QAQ!"
