Chapter 674 -81: The Battle in the Valley_2

The brave who die in battle will gain eternal life in the realm of Father God Guosh!

Monk Broken Body, a warrior of the Red Teeth Tribe known for severing enemy limbs, is the younger brother of the Beastman Chief Batu and a tremendously powerful “Eye of Gush”.

“Eye of Gush” are fanatic followers of the Beastman God, and only the mightiest warriors can enjoy such glory.

Each Eye of Gush must undergo a bloody and painful ritual—personally removing their own right eye.

If the candidate makes any noise during the process, they will lose the favor of Gush and become truly crippled.

If they remain silent throughout the ordeal, their damaged vision will be balanced with their god’s, granting them the most frenzied, evil strength, seeing what they should not be able to see.

Monk is such a warrior, and thus receives the entire clan’s reverence.

Just now, this Beastman warrior blessed by Gush could have totally dodged that arrow, but he chose not to.

—Because he had not felt the taste of injury for a long time, and he was somewhat intoxicated by it.

Monk, wielding the Beastman Double-headed Axe in his hands, leapt up again, roaring as he did not forget to cry out:

“For the great Father God Guosh, for the glory of the Beastman, smash these Dwarves!”

Under Monk’s rallying cry, the onslaught of the Beastmen intensified, disregarding casualties and consequences as they poured into the Road of Glory.

“For Gush!”

“We will be on”

The Dwarves kept firing rockets and throwing explosive barrels, instantly blowing up hundreds of Beastmen, sending them flying.

But these adrenaline-fueled Beastmen simply ignored the dangers, screaming as they charged forward, sacrificing their worthless lives to hasten the legion’s advance.

The vultures and giant eagles raised by the Beastmen launched another attack, disrupting the actions of Dwarf warriors on the cliffs, even causing some to fall into The Abyss.

The Beastmen behind also came up with corresponding tactics; Hill Giants and Half-Beast Giants carrying huge shields moved on both sides of the ranks, blocking the rain-like arrows shot from the cliffs.

Under the cover of Giant Shields, the Beastman Infantry advanced quickly, and soon pushed to the end of the Road of Glory, nearing the “Beastman Tombstone”.

On those towering walls appeared squads of Dwarf Heavy Infantry, wielding long-handled hammers and giant shields, dressed in steel armor.

These Dwarves were like a low steel wall, immovably placed in front of the Beastman.

They showed no fear, resolutely intercepting the Beastman Army, led by recently drunk Dwarf commander—Tur Aaron.

Unlike ordinary Dwarf Warriors, although he was less than one and a half meters tall, the long-handled hammer in his hands was an exaggerated five meters long.

“Fellows, for three thousand years, Aivendel has never fallen—even if we fight alone.”

“In the name of Moradin… block these beastman mongrels in front of the Beastman Tombstone! Send them to meet Gush!”

“Send them to meet Gush! Go to hell, Beastman mongrels!”

The Dwarf Heavy Infantry roared in unison, like moving fortresses, meeting the tidal wave of Beastman.

And the Beastmen, following the ladders brought by the Hill Giants and Half-Giants, tried to climb over the walls.

These Dwarves, though short, were incredibly stout and far stronger than ordinary Beastman, just one encounter had several dozen Beastmen smashed down by the solid long-handled hammers.

And Tur, drunk with victory, lifted his long-handled hammer high and with a fierce leap, swung it in midair, striking with tremendous force.

“Thud!” ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

A dull sound echoed; the head of Half-Beast Giant was instantly smashed to pieces, and its body, several times larger than the Dwarf’s, crashed down, crushing many Beastman beneath the wall.

“Disgusting mongrels, go to hell!”

Tur laughed loudly, his long-handled hammer stained with blood and brains sweeping fiercely, striking more than a dozen approaching Beastmen.

Under the terrifying force of the long-handled hammer, the Beastmen were hit so hard that their bodies deformed, flying backwards, their teeth, eyeballs, ears and other bloody parts scattered all over.

Held back by the Dwarf Heavy Infantry, the surging wave of Beastman was actually stopped, with hundreds of Beastman flattened by the heavy hammer.

They even showed a rare sense of panic, subconsciously retreating but getting pushed and shoved with the Beastmen coming from behind.

Eventually, dozens of Beastmen screamed as they fell, plunging into the abyss, becoming fresh corpses in the Bone River.

“Children, do not fear death, it is the glory of a Beastman Warrior!

To die in battle, you shall find eternal life in the kingdom of Father God Guosh! Yet if you die a coward, you will become nothing but meat and drink at the feast!”

The Beastman Shaman was riding a Giant Eagle in the mid-air, raising a scepter embedded with Beastman skulls, singing an ancient song.

“Blood as wine, skulls as cups, with wails for music, with fear as food…”

“When the enemy’s bones carpet the earth, the Beastman Empire will embrace the world, the great Father God Guosh will descend upon the world—”

The society of Beastmen is built upon the ideals of strength, survival, fear, and war, these principles are established on the worship of Guosh, and ingrained in the young Beastmen through harsh experiences.

The Shamans passed down Beastman legends generation after generation, spreading his doctrines through intimidation, inspiration, and absolute tyranny, ensuring the Beastmen’s unwavering belief.

The Dwarves on the city walls fired arrow after arrow, trying to shoot down the soaring Giant Eagle, but an invisible shield protected it.

Having finished his song, the Beastman Shaman muttered under his breath, scarlet light radiating from the hollow sockets of the skull on his scepter.

A lone Scarlet eye hovered high in the sky, overseeing the beings fighting below it.

Suddenly, a thin red mist swept in, filling the entire valley. Inhaling the bloody mist, the Beastmen became even more frenzied.

They completely lost their minds, unable to speak a single logical sentence.

“Roar—”

“Kill, annihilate the Dwarves!”

The Beastmen launched a frenzied attack, having utterly forgotten death, solely intent on slaughtering the Dwarves.

As time passed in the frantic war, the bodies of Beastmen piled up beneath the city walls, gradually forming a small hill, with new arrivals climbing up without hesitation.

“Pant, pant…

These damned mongrels, there are just too many of them, do their brains only understand war and breeding?”

Tur Aaron, panting heavily, exhaled hot, alcohol-scented breath, swinging his Long-handled Hammer once more, sending a Beastman attempting to scale the wall flying.

Enemy blood mixed with his own sweat soaked the Dwarf’s skin; he could no longer remember how many times he had swung his hammer, flattening numerous Beastmen.

Perhaps three hundred, perhaps five hundred, he had long forgotten the exact number since counting to a hundred.

But the numbers of Beastmen were truly overwhelming, far more than he could have imagined; the Dwarf Warriors on the left side of the wall were nearly unable to withstand the Beastmen’s aggressive onslaught.

At that moment, Tur heard a deep, frenzied voice easily overshadowing the chaos and wailing on the battlefield, striking fear into his very core.

“Dwarf, your skull… would serve well to honor Father God!”

He sharply turned his head, only to see a hulking Beastman, carrying a Double-headed Axe, smiling at him, eyeing him like prey.

More terrifying, the Beastman was casually playing with a Dwarf skull, its eyes wide open, lightly saying, “Hope… you’re not as dull as these weaklings.”

That was Monk Broken Body, the powerful and insane “Eye of Guosh”!

Beneath this Beastman commander, the ground was piled with the bodies of Dwarves, Tur’s elite soldiers, his brethren as close as his own limbs.

And the skull that the Beastman toyed with, was that of Tur’s closest comrade, Gerand!

In an instant, Tur Aaron felt as though he had fallen into a pit of ice, his flushed face suddenly turning grave.

“Ah, he was important to you? That’s good, it will make you much more interesting.”

However, Monk raised his grotesque lips, veins bulging on the back of his hand as he suddenly clenched his fist.

“Bang!”

Another head burst open like a watermelon, bone fragments, flesh, and brain matter splattering everywhere.

Instantly, Tur Aaron’s eyes reddened, his hands trembling as he gripped the Long-handled Hammer, his teeth almost crushing together. “Beastman bastard, you, you are courting death!”

The furious Dwarf commander raised his Long-handled Hammer high, swinging it down fiercely, while Monk, interestedly held his Double-headed Axe horizontally to block.

“Clang—”

Metal clashed with metal, producing a sharp explosive sound, creating a blast of airwave that shook nearby Dwarves and Beastman soldiers.
