Attribute Farming System-Chapter 112: A Mysterious Figure Hiding Among The Clouds
OOOOM!!!
Although the Sword Saint neared the very peak of the Early Soul Transformation Realm, he still felt pressured underneath this new level of power Igron was exhibiting. Getting serious, Sword Saint performed a few warm-up slashes before unleashing the full extent of his Level 8 Sword Intent—an Intent that he had been honing for centuries.
"COME!!"
With a spazzing face, Igron blasted out with a volcano-like demonic aura. Its bloody, stifling tendrils whipped around with a mind of their own, alerting everyone in the Water Kingdom and Fire Kingdom of their existence.
Somewhere in the Fire Kingdom, a sinister-looking old man momentarily paused the rocking of his chair. His ancient gaze shifted in a certain direction, where crimson-colored energy tendrils had enveloped the skies.
"He has done it," said the old man, his voice hoarse and dissociated from reality. "This means that I'll finally be able to rest in peace. Soon. Very soon."
His eyes—which were already struggling to stay open—closed.
But not permanently.
No, it wasn't yet the time…
A hooded man hovering high above the Elemental Nations suddenly fixated on an area of the small congregation of landmasses. To him, the Elemental Nations were no more than a tiny courtyard, but seeing the explosion of demonic energy raised his pursed lips into an eerie smile.
"The first one has taken the Pill. And though one taker has a chance of accomplishing what I want, if more take the pill, then the chances of success will naturally increase."
The mysterious hooded figure remained suspended in mid-air, his scrutinizing gaze keeping track of all the major ongoing fights in the Elemental Nations.
Millions of lesser Cultivators from the four battling Elemental Nations were immersed in ferocious battles as well, but the hooded figure paid them no heed.
Even the back-and-forths of the Early Soul Transformation Realm Cultivators were barely worth his attention, let alone the inconsequential life-and-death fights of mere ants.
Save for a single unique human boy, none below the Soul Transformation Realm entered his eyes.
'A supreme genius has appeared in this lesser Territory. It really is unfortunate that he'll be gone soon. Destiny has foretold it to be so.'
Taking him out of his reverie was the sight of several Soul Transformation Realm Cultivators flying toward the Water Kingdom like shooting stars.
These were the Ancestors, Rulers, and most powerful Powerhouses of the other Elemental Nations. There were 22 total, and among them, the Monarchs and other such pinnacle Cultivators of the Lightning, Fire, and Air Nations were included.
This occurrence urged an even wider smirk on the hooded man's shrouded face.
"All the pieces are coming together. Soon, what I prophesied will come to fruition. My breakthrough will happen."
— Meanwhile, blitzing in and out of the folds of space while slashing down every foe from the opposing Elemental Nations, Knox was suddenly alerted of something by a voice inside his head —
'Be careful, Young Master.' The World Serpent's message of caution was followed by a transfer of vision to Knox. 'Up there, someone extremely powerful is watching. He's insurmountably stronger than me and Seraphim are, and unlike us, he's not restricted.'
"Hum…?" Cooperating with the World Serpent's magically shared sight, Knox saw a hooded man hiding between the folds of space above the clouds.
Amusement flashed through his golden-flaked slitted pupils as his draconic tail flung around.
"How so very interesting. I do wonder what this person's goals are."
"Likely an enemy," Six-Winged Seraphim chimed in as his vision also focused on the hooded figure. "Although his maliciousness is well concealed, it's definitely there. As for what exactly his intentions are, I can't say for sure."
Knox softly chuckled while decapitating one Cultivator after the next.
Both Core Formation and Soul Formation Realm Cultivators alike were slain by him with ease. Their lives amounted to little more than another heap of Attribute Orbs that darted toward the one who lorded over Attributes.
SHING! SHING! SHING!
Clanging against something that gave a bit more resistance, Knox exerted a little more strength.
"What!?"
The Half-step Soul Transformation Realm Expert from the Lightning Nation watched in horror as his stance was thrown off balance. The barrage of sword slashes bombarding him had been too overpowering!
"W-Wait, I am—"
SPLURT!
"Don't give a f*ck," Knox said coldly as he shattered the last of the Expert's defenses, the razor-sharp edges of his sword carving a large gash out of the poor fellow.
"You can say you're yatatata of Orgyland, and I still won't give a sh*t. So instead of incessantly blabbing those gums, why don't you just shut up and become my loot?"
"NOOooo—"
Seeing the blurry advance of the devil-like man before him, the Expert backed up. However, Knox moved too fast for retreat to be possible.
Yet, in the very same moment the Expert's eyes closed as he accepted his fate, a giant crackling barrier of lightning appeared in front of him; it successfully fended off the Devil's sword slashes.
Knox frowned as he jumped a few meters away.
Opening his eyes upon realizing he hadn't died, the Half-step Soul Transformation Realm Lightning Expert's eyes pleasantly widened.
"Thunderbolt Empress!"
"Hmm?"
Knox took a better look at the woman before him, his eyes curiously trailing her busty figure.
Upon stealing her yellowish, sparky gaze, he tilted his head.
"Your name is the Thunderbolt Empress? So that means you can zap-zap and stuff, right?"
Thunderbolt Empress: "...."
"You're an unusual youngster," she commented as if she hadn't heard what he said. "Your Talent is also unrealistically high. Why don't you consider jumping ship and coming over to the Lightning Kingdom? The Water Kingdom is destined to fall today, so you staying would only make you lose your life—"
"Nah, I'm good," Knox shrugged. "This place is quite cozy. Betraying them wouldn't sit right with me. But hey, since you're offering things, why don't we make this place even cozier in a warm, isolated cabin somewhere~?"
Thunderbolt Empress blankly stared at the brazen, slick-tongued human floating opposite her.
"Empress, you must kill that Devil!"
