When Thane was about 8 years of age on his usual tour with this father the Blacksteel lord around the Blacksteel shelter, they came across a young girl bloodied and struggling to survive in the outskirts of the forests surrounding the Blacksteel shelter.

The source of this c𝓸ntent is frёeweɓηovel.coɱ.

At first, they had no idea who she was, but for someone so young at 5 to be bloodied and covered in dirt in such a dangerous place? They had to be something wrong. So naturally Thane pleaded with his father to bring her back to the blacksteel mansion.

There they took care for her, bathed her, clothes her and over saw her speedy recovery. And it was in fact speedy. In about two days she was fully healed as her flames kicked in.

They didn't know what to make of it, but her talent in fighting bought her a place in the Blacksteel mansion where she would usually spar with Thane and his brothers.

Over time, they became closer, more friendly as her outer coldness seemed to melt allowing them to become best of friends.

But there was still a problem,

After 2 years no one came for her, she with such talents, he expected at least one person to show up but they never did causing the Blacksteel lord a lot of frustration.

The circumstances around Victoria was too strange, he didn't know what she was involved in and what trouble she might bring in the near future, so he opted to throw her out and let her find her way. It sounded cruel, but for the safety of his family and the shelter. It was the best thing to do.

Thane of course refused this adamantly.

Unfortunately, his father was just as stubborn and him and as the black steellord his will was supreme and he had no choice.

That night when she left, he thought he would never see her again. But then the following morning she was back with a silver haired man right behind her staring down his father.

This man would later become the benefactor of their shelter.

The S Ranked Slayer, The silver mountain king.

In terms of colors, he was capped at White, That was the minimum rank to rule over a stronghold.

Yes, Victorias father was as strong as, if not stronger than the Black Raven lord.

Guilliman was stunned to find this out, but it also raised another important question in his mind.

Why, would someone so strong leave their daughter to fend for herself in a dreadful place like clawwood forest?

Well, he didn't have the answer to that since everything was based on Thanes memories, but he could draw a few conclusions.

One, it was some sort of sick training routine. He had met that old bastard before and with the way Victoria took things to the extreme…he could understand why such was possible.

But the next few sets of memories dispelled that conclusion immediately. As it was a picture of Mr Silverstein thanking the Blacksteel lord for saving his daughter when he couldn't.

He clearly didn't place her there on purpose, he was a much more responsible father than he seemed.

And so the second conjecture came to mind.

There was only one set of people strong enough to cause the likes of the black raven to feel powerless.

The strongholds and their masters.

It made sense now why Victoria wanted to be strong so badly, there was revenge in her heart. The need to take back something that was hers and to kill those who hurt her.

She was just like him in this way.

"I'll be scouting beyond the ridge, see you in the morning" Guilliman spoke before all of a sudden disappearing into the fog and blasting towards the ridge infront.

Once he reached the ridge, he looked across to the dark mountains infront of him.

The mountains were dark and gloomy, with not a speck of grassland from where he stood to the interlocking rocky structures that stretched as far as he could see.

This was quite strange since just opposite the ridge on the place they set up camp, there was an open field of grassland.

'Effects of the hallowed beast?'

He thought to himself randomly as he looked around. Hallowed beasts were a scourge wherever they went. They brought distruction and decay with them. Prior to

The gate opening, they would suck as much energy from living matter around them to evolve.

In a sense they were like parasites, but for some reason, the monsters around would usually flock to its beck and call whenever one arises.

"Let me see what I can find" Guilliman muttered summoning ghost to his side as he descended into the mountains scouting their future paths.

Meanwhile.

Within the mountains, A reptilian monster could be seen coiled around in a mass of flesh and bones.

The creature had three horns, its teeth were as sharp as razor blades and its claws and strong as blessed steel. It was terrifying.

While the beast slumbered, several smaller creatures slowly approached it and dropped infront of it the mutilated flesh of beasts and their cores right beside it.

Smelling the bloodstained flesh infront of it, the beast eyes snapped open as it slowly got up and started tearing the meat open.

It feasted on the meat, slowly accumulating as much strength as he possibly could. And after that it paused.

"Grrr" it's growled at the crystal cores infront of it, but instead of absorbing its energy. The beast grabbed them with its maw and proceeded to walk out of the way towards a large large cave.

There, it threw out the crystals into the cave one after the other until they were all gone.

The moment the cave swallowed the last bit of the crystals, it shook for a few mintutes as a portal, not so different from the one that brought the slayer appeared.

Within that portal, was a massive Dune land filled with sand and in the horizon beyond the portal was a massive pyramid.
