Chapter 151: Support
"I...." Windslys facial expression dropped as a chill went down his spine. Rumors were that Guilliman was on the hunt for blackberry clansmen. Had he just delivered himself into the mouth of a wolf?
"Hehe, as you can see kid. He’s not only your superior, he’s also not someone you can mess with" Arthur sneered at Windsly. He had long since grown to respect Guilliman.
The kid was not only gritty, he was willing to go the extra mile to get things done. In the younger generation there was practically no one he could compare to that. Even his own son.
"I’m sorr..." Windsly tried to say, but before he could finish.
"You’ve disrespected a superior officer, there’s no sorry. Take him to the dungeons, he’s sentenced to 3 weeks minimum and maximum of whenever I’m less busy" Arthur waved his hand and all of a sudden two guards stepped forward from the sides of the hall and clamped down on Windsly.
He didn’t even resist, being imprisoned was much better than being in the presence of that monster.
"Hehe, so cowardly." Guilliman commented, he had forgotten how cowardly most of the blackberry clans men were. His history with Vincent had somehow convinced him that they had guts.
"Sigh, if only the younger generation were more like you Guilliman" Arthur smiled then turned back to Guilliman with a look of sadness. freewebnøvel.coɱ
"So....are you finally turning in your resignation?" Arthur asked
He had a feeling that’s why Guiliman was here, in fact he perfectly timed the date whilst hoping it would never come.
Unfortunately....here it was.
"I’m sorry, I really hoped we would be done here before it was time to leave. Unfortunately" Guilliman felt a bit bad.
He had been forced into this war by the blacksteel lord, and although he had been indignant for the longest time. Seeing people die for this course, this mission had bloomed a sense of pride in his heart for it.
But, he had other responsibilities and just based on principle, he could not stay here any longer.
"I understand, Klaus’s approach always seemed out of sorts to me" Arthur said..."however it’s not my place to judge"
Arthur then stood up and said.
"Guilliman Naldir, Commander of the Special unit Vanguard. You are here by relived of your duties, and with that your entire unit has been disbanded"
He couldn’t keep Guilliman here against his will, not only would that be immoral, it would be virtually impossible. The young man would just dissert.
"Thank you sire" Guilliman fell into a bow.
The Army in whole was not aware, but they had lost a valuable asset today. One whose absence would be felt not too long from now.

Guilliman after receiving his resignation order, packed up his things and immediately headed for the warp wall situated in an underground man made structure.
Aside from acting as a command center, the base was made for one very important task.
To protect the warp.
When the human forces got to the mountains west of Ravenskeep, they found that even though Guilliman had killed the warp beast, the warp was ever still active.
This didn’t bring a lot of confusion since then expected as much. The hallowed beast Guilliman had killed was meant for the Gate linking here ravenskeep and the alliance territory, that was all it was good for.
The warp in the mountains was created by something far more ancient, something far more terrifying. And the fact that it wasn’t closed yet...meant it hadn’t crossed over.
"Guilliman Naldir, Commander" Guilliman upon passing through several layers of protected Gates arrived before a Rune stone contraption.
For a large scale assault such as this, the humans could not rely on the hollowed beast in the nightmare desert to keep the warp open, so they made their own mechanization.
"Hmm!!" The guards before the warp nodded and went to the back. He inputted some numbers and before Guilliman new it, the Warp was active.
"Thank you" he nodded sharply, and with his hands behind his back he crossed the warp and entered the western mountains.
"Guilliman?"
As soon as he did so, he heard a very familiar voice on the other side.
"Hm? Brother William?" Guilliman raised his eyebrows, noticing the familiar face.
He had been down to ravenskeep on several occasions in the past but he had never seen this guy here. What brought the change.
"Long time no see" Guilliman shook hands with him.
The two of the parted ways because of the gate incident four years ago, and after so long they were meeting finally once again.
"Yes, I was busy running the shop back in the shelter, but you know the old man, he can’t do without me. He summoned me two months ago" William said with a calm and tempered voice.
He was aware of what happened between Guilliman and the blacksteel lord. The old devil made a big deal out of it, storming the lords household and getting captured too.
Of course, that didn’t last long since the old devil was not small fry like Guilliman. However, despite this, the Blacksteel lord (Klaus) refused adamantly to come to an agreement outside what he originally planned.
It really frustrated them all.
"Ohh, that’s great, in fact I will be paying him a visit when I get to Ravenskeep from here." Guilliman said with a smile.
However, his words caused William to pause and count his fingers hurriedly.
"Ohh, it has been three years already? " William frowned.
Yeah, the three year deal had expired and now guilliman was going to ravenskeep to free himself from the Blacksteel lords contract.
"Yeah" Guilliman smiled, he unknowingly had a lot of people who cared for him now. Victoria and the cohort tried, The old devil and his apprentices tried, in fact at some point members of the blacksteel family like Dorn had tried.
It was strange, this kind of affection, he hadn’t felt it before even from his original family.
"I’ll take permission from my superiors, we need to see the old devil first" William said with a firm tone grabbing Guilliman by the arm.
There was a minute chance that the blacksteel lord would go back on his word. Guilliman needed to make sure he had enough people behind him to deter such an outcome.
