Awakened: SSS Ranked Soul king-Chapter 72: Teams
"That can’t be all right?" One of dual blades men asked a frown on his face.
Guillimans describtion of his strength was very vague, they could understand why Victoria would be vague, but he was but a slum rat like the rest of them.
What was hiding going to do for a trash aspect?
Of course, he had no idea that even the so called ’vague’ explanation from Guilliman was laced with lies. Bind willingly? Guiliman didn’t bind with anything, he forced their souls to submit to his authority.
If these guys knew this they would naturally be curious as to how he was able to force beasts to submit. so he said it in a way to make them think he could only bind with tamed beasts.
There were also other parts of his aspect that he didn’t even bother mentioning. The people in this shelter even these so called great families didn’t seem to understand aspects to the extent even so he kept most to himself.
"Oh, you’re right, my weakness….its actually no different from Victorias, overdoing it will severely damage my soul…to the point of death even, however, my family’s….my solution to it is pretty solid so you don’t have to worry" Guilliman smiled and explained his weakness.
Or rather, the weakness of most shaman, he was of course the exception. Maybe he had a flaw, but if this soul king class was based completely on the shaman class then honestly? His heavy soul was direct solution to its flaw.
"Ahh, really?" Jemie frowned
He could remember seeing Guilliman use his beast summons for days on end, what limit was he talking about here?
"Yeah" Guilliman nodded with a bitter smile on his face, maybe there was a need to freign weakness before these guys, if not he wouldn’t be able to lie in peace.
"Good, well not good, but you get the gist." Victoria cut into the exchange with a beaming smile on her face.
"Now that we acquainted with each others strengths, and weaknesses, I’d like to invite Cyrus to share use into groups of two, for the next few days we will hunt as many beasts as he can" Victoria panned her gaze to Cyrus and smiled.
She had in a way commendeered control over this group, but Cyrus was still very much important to his cohort members, especially his little brother. Giving him responsibilities would help ease the transition.
"Okay, let’s do it like this"Cyrus got up and started grouping the men into two man teams.

Soon, the night came once more. They had spent a better half of the entire day talking strategy, how to enter the outpost and what they needed for the mission to be completed.
It was in truth more draining than fighting against monsters
As night approached they did what they were supposed to and climbed trees, the fog this time came, but for some reason it didn’t permeated into the outposts walls, as if scared of being contaminated by its poison air.
….
The next morning, the two cohort formed groups of two and scattered around the immediate area in search of prey.
"Uhh there are four sacred armoured viazens at the other side of this hill, we can start with them first" guilliman standing atop giant rock in the middle of the forest said as he looked down st a young guy beside him.
Dull eyes, a seemingly unassuming appearance, quiet and cold. The young man before him looked ordinary, but his demeanor was unique.
"That’s okay" the young man nodded.
There was no real leader of any particular team, it was more of a cooperation so his opinion had to be asked before they embarked on anything.
Unless Guilliman could face it on his own.
"What’s the game plan though" the young man looked to Guilliman.
He had spotted the sacred beasts from afar, where they were, what they looked like was all in his head and since he brought it up, the plan of attack would be dependent on him.
"Ehnn, since you’re more of a utility type….maybe you can attract two away while I deal with the rest then I’ll come back to help when I’m done?" Guilliman smirked and said with a shameless smile.
Out of everyone he could get on his team, it had to be the guy without a combat aspect. Seeing that the qualification test was combat Guilliman could even wrap his head around how this kid got here.
as if expecting protest from him, Guilliman readied himself to convince the guy, but-
"Distract two? Got it" the young man simiply walked forward without a care in the world as he slowly made his way towards the hill infront
This stunned Guilliman for a minute, he frowned deeply and mused.
’No protest at all? That was unexpected’
He had a plan and was sufficiently confident about his chances against these two beasts, but this guy didn’t, why was he so confident then?
"Morgan," he muttered the kids name watching his gloomy silhouette walk by the side of the hill and head towards the back.
-Roar!!!!
The next second, two particular hefty looking beasts with massive calf’s and a body as bulky as a rhino ran out from behind the hill and gave chance to the unassuming silhouette.
"Ahh, those are the stronger ones!!" Guilliman gritted his teeth and immediately abandoned his original plan.
You would think this guy would only taunt the weaker ordinary code sacred beasts, but for some absurd reason he did so to the knights!! What kind of bad luck even was this?
Guilliman had no choice than to abandon the plan and go help Morgan, facing two knights alone as a utility type Slayet was going to be extremely hard without a proper attack strategy.
"Ghost!"
The attack strategy, which had just be ruined when this guy decided to bite more than he cloud swallow.
"Go!!" Climbing atop the ghostly apparition, Guilliman commanded and together they blasted off in the direction of the kid.
