Chapter 14: The Sect

A week had passed since Elliot discovered his system, and during this time, the sect was nearly finished rebuilding. It looked like an entirely new sect, stronger and larger than it had ever been before.

In that week, Elliot learned a lot about this world from Kyber, who explained the system of powers and energy in stunning detail.

They sat together on one of the balconies overlooking the training grounds, where the disciples were training enthusiastically. Elliot turned to Kyber and asked:

"So, how are powers categorized in this world? I feel like I need to understand that better."

Kyber took a deep breath and began explaining:

"Well, power in this world is divided into four main realms. The first realm is the foundational realm, which is the basis for all fighters. This realm consists of nine layers, where an individual grows stronger with each layer. You're currently in the seventh layer, which is very good for someone who's just started."

Elliot nodded, taking in the information, then asked, "What about the second realm?"

Kyber smiled and continued:

"The second realm is called the spiritual realm, and this is where things start to get more exciting. In this realm, fighters don't just use their energy; they can fly, control their energy freely, and shape it as they wish. This realm is made up of five layers, each one granting the individual powers that are unimaginable."

Elliot's eyes widened in astonishment: "This is crazy... imagine being able to fly!"

Kyber laughed and said with a mysterious tone: "Yes, but not everyone reaches this realm... only a few succeed in achieving that."

Elliot thought for a moment, then looked at Kyber and asked: "By the way, what's your level?"

Kyber paused for a moment, looked around as if making sure no one was listening, then leaned closer to Elliot and whispered:

"This is a secret, but I'll tell you... I'm in the first layer of the spiritual realm."

Elliot's eyes widened in shock, and he felt a shiver run through his body: "W... What?! You're already in the spiritual realm?!"

Kyber nodded with a mysterious smile: "Yes, and that's why I was able to defeat the prince so easily. But don't tell anyone... this is a dangerous secret."

Another week passed, and during this time, Elliot delved even deeper into understanding this world. He began to realize that power wasn't only about skills and systems, but there were many factors that influenced influence and authority, such as nations, regions, equipment, and sects.

One day, Elliot sat with Kyber in the sect's meeting hall, discussing what Elliot had learned over the past week.

"So, tell me, Elliot... what did you learn this time?" Kyber asked with a calm smile, holding a cup of tea.

Elliot took a deep breath and began recounting what he had learned:

"First, I learned that this world is divided into several nations and regions, each with its own system and rule. Some are advanced and powerful, while others are weak and fragile. Also, I learned that equipment plays a crucial role in an individual's power, as it is classified into 12 levels, and the higher the level, the more powerful the weapon."

Kyber nodded, encouraging Elliot to continue.

"Weapons that reach level ten are capable of wiping out an entire sect, which shows their power. I can't even imagine what a level twelve weapon could do..."

Kyber chuckled slightly and said: "They are legendary weapons, very rare... owning one means the wielder could rule an entire continent."

Elliot continued: "I also learned about the levels of sects, where they are divided into 10 levels, and our sect is currently considered level ten, which means it's at the worst level."

He paused for a moment and then said enthusiastically: "But we can improve it! We need to train the disciples, teach them powerful techniques, and attract more talent. We need to make the sect a place everyone wants to join!"

Kyber smiled and said: "Good idea, but this will take time and effort. First, we need to teach the disciples how to refine their energy, as many of them don't know how to use their power efficiently. Also, we need to start training them in advanced combat techniques."

Elliot's eyes lit up with excitement and he said: "Then let's start tomorrow!"

Elliot laughed loudly and said: "But I don't have any combat techniques! Can you teach me one?"

Kyber looked at him for a moment, then laughed and said: "You're really strange, but that's fine, I won't ask you anything personal. Actually, I like mysterious people."

Then Kyber paused for a moment, thinking about the right technique for Elliot. After a moment, he said: "Well, there's a very simple technique, but it will make you invincible if you use it with your system technique."

Elliot's eyes glowed with excitement, he leaned in a little and asked: "What is it?"

Kyber smiled and said: "It's called 'Sofa Finger', a technique I learned about three years ago. It's an unnatural technique, but it's nearly impossible to try."

Elliot raised an eyebrow and asked: "Why?"

Kyber replied: "Because it causes the opponent to fall asleep instantly as soon as you strike them with your finger, but you have to strike a specific point in their neck. The problem is, powerful fighters, or as we call them 'refiners', it's impossible to get close enough to strike them... unless you're different."

Elliot's eyes widened when he realized the implication, and he said in astonishment: "Because I can disappear?!"

Kyber nodded and said: "Exactly! This technique is extremely dangerous if you master it. It could be lethal in certain situations if used wisely."

Elliot smiled and said eagerly: "It sounds perfect for me! When can I start training it?"

Kyber laughed and said: "Starting now, but be prepared, mastering it won't be easy!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A full month had passed, and Elliot was still struggling to master the "Sova Finger" technique, but it was far more difficult than he had imagined. At first, he thought it was just a normal combat move, but it required precise control of energy, exceptional speed, and a deep understanding of pressure points in the opponent's body. Every time he tried to execute it, he failed. Numerous times he nearly gave up, but his determination wouldn't let him quit.

Finally, after great suffering and intense training, Elliot succeeded in executing it for the first time! When he managed to strike the correct pressure point on Kyber (under his supervision, of course), he felt a great sense of accomplishment, but he also realized a harsh truth:

"Learning techniques in this world is insanely difficult."

After that, Kyber began training the disciples, but he felt a growing sense of boredom and frustration. It wasn't going as he had expected. The disciples were far too weak, and their progress was extremely slow.

After days of training, he stood in front of Elliot and said, frustrated:

"This is impossible, Elliot... The sect won't succeed."

Elliot looked at him in shock, but Kyber continued, saying:

"We need powerful Refiners to train the disciples and make them elders in the sect, but none of them are qualified, and no strong Refiners will join us. Our reputation is still nonexistent, and no one will take us seriously."

He sighed and then said firmly:

"I suggest we close the sect and go on our journey to increase our Refining. When we are strong enough, we can create a real sect, not this weak place."

His words made sense. There was no real opportunity for the sect to grow in its current state, especially since even Elliot, who was the leader, had spent a whole month just to learn a simple technique.

Elliot sat, deep in thought, and then said quietly:

"I think this is the truth..."

He looked at the disciples training in the yard and felt the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. The sect was a great dream, but without strength, it would be nothing more than a weak place waiting to be erased from existence.

The decision was clear.
