Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me-Chapter 683: The First Elder
"I didn’t expect the Dragon Empress to have that kind of personality," Daniel muttered while slowly flying through the sky.
"Don’t look at her like that. Even though she treated you kindly, she’s not a kind woman. In fact, she’s extremely dangerous. I don’t even know why she treated you well," Evangelin hesitated slightly before answering.
She had known that woman for many years and had never seen her act that gentle before. That woman was very dangerous, maybe even more dangerous than herself.
There was a reason why all those old dragons were afraid of her.
Daniel wasn’t too shocked after hearing that answer. He had expected Nyxara to hide her true face. That woman’s behavior and actions gave him a strange feeling.
He just hoped that Finn, who was now staying with her, wouldn’t get hurt. Although he also doubted anyone could actually harm that young dragon.
"So what are you going to do now? How are you going to convince those old men? They hate humans," Evangelin shifted the conversation to the main topic.
A few minutes had passed since they left the palace. Finn remained there at the Dragon Empress’s request, and the two of them had agreed to go solve their problem, convincing those old elders.
However, she herself had no other method besides force to make those old dragons agree. She knew them well and understood how stubborn and troublesome they were.
"Leave it to me. I think there might be a way," Daniel didn’t reveal his plan. In fact, he wasn’t even sure whether that plan would work or not.
It didn’t take long before they arrived above a floating mountain. Inside that mountain stood a large and luxurious palace, built in the unique architectural style of the dragons.
"This is the residence of the First Elder of the High Council. It’s an eleven-member council, and you need to gain the approval of ten of them."
His gaze fell on the mountain and stayed there. He could feel an extremely powerful presence inside it. It seemed that the dragon had also sensed and identified his presence, because a faint hostility was radiating from within.
"The First Elder is one of the oldest living dragons. Extremely traditional, and he deeply hates humans," Evangelin added quietly.
"Please stay here. I’ll be back soon," Daniel nodded and, without saying anything more, headed directly toward the mountain.
When he saw that no force stopped him from entering, he let out a sigh of relief and slowly landed on the ground, right in front of the palace where the First Elder lived.
"There is something I wanted to discuss with you," he took a breath and then spoke loudly, making sure his voice would pass through those walls.
However, moments passed slowly and no response was heard. It was as if his words had not been heard at all, or were deliberately ignored.
’Is he trying to mock and humiliate me like this?’ he thought and let out a cold smirk. Letting him enter but deliberately ignoring him had only one meaning, humiliation.
Unfortunately, he was not a man who could be humiliated.
"I don’t know if you have ever heard of the Fallen God?" he shouted again with the same loud voice.
This time, unlike before, the palace doors slowly opened. Daniel smiled when he saw this and calmly walked inside. The moment he entered, the doors closed behind him.
"Human, how do you know about the Fallen?" Suddenly a rough, old yet authoritative voice echoed in his ears. It even sounded threatening and terrifying.
The voice made him feel as if his brain could explode at any moment under the pressure. It was as if the First Elder was deliberately warning him, and also threatening him.
"Why shouldn’t I know, First Elder?" Daniel asked calmly, trying to ignore the pressure. However, as his voice echoed, the pressure and aura intensified.
"The Fallen should have been forgotten. A human who is not even in his twenties should not know about him," the same rough and old voice sounded again.
"Human, do not answer a question with another question! Tell me how you know the Fallen, or you will certainly die!" his voice echoed once more.
But this time it was stronger, more terrifying, and far more threatening. At the same time, an endless killing intent was released for a brief moment and shook Daniel’s entire body.
Yet there was still no sign of the First Elder himself. It was as if his voice was being broadcast through speakers.
"I will definitely answer you. But may I know how the Elder knows the Fallen?"
This time there was no immediate response. Instead, there seemed to be hesitation, as if the dragon did not know whether he should answer or not.
"There are things that low and insignificant humans should not know. Just know this, if you had not mentioned his name, you would not be leaving this mountain alive today," finally the threatening reply came.
Daniel frowned for a moment, then quickly returned his expression to normal. Now he understood why this old dragon had allowed him into the mountain. From the beginning, he had intended to kill him.
Even if he was a human important to the Dragon Empress, if the First Elder killed him, Nyxara could at most complain and vent her anger by shouting.
She certainly could not kill the First Elder just because of a human, right?
"So what if I tell you that I not only know the Fallen, but I have seen him?"
"Impossible! The Fallen no longer exists in this world," the First Elder dismissed his words as nonsense with the same harsh tone.
"And what if it’s true? If I’m not mistaken, the reason you care so much about the Fallen is his blood. The blood of the Fallen should be able to help you a lot, right? What if I say I have a few drops of his blood?" Daniel said playfully.
Everything he had just said was entirely based on speculation and deduction from his own observations.
The biggest reason was Naya. He still remembered why that girl had asked him for a drop of his blood. According to Naya, a Spirit Queen had made a request before agreeing to form a contract with her.
And that request was his blood, more precisely, the blood of the Fallen.
On the other hand, he remembered that by using the blood of the Fallen, he had significantly increased the completion percentage of Undying Soul Of Dragon. That clearly indicated an indirect connection between his blood and the dragons.
That was why he decided to take this risk.
Suddenly, a trembling sound echoed, and slowly a figure began to move from within the shadows until it finally stepped out.
As it emerged from the darkness, a massive body with magnificent scales and grand wings was revealed.
It was a dragon, a dragon with a combination of golden and white colors. Perhaps the most beautiful dragon Daniel had ever seen in his life.
"You have a few drops of the Fallen’s blood?" the First Elder opened his mouth and spoke in a harsh tone, though other emotions were mixed within it.
Emotions such as disbelief, shock, and desire, as if he truly wanted those drops of blood.
