Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me-Chapter 704: Final Preparations
"Better than I expected," Daniel murmured as he slowly sat down on his throne in the central palace.
All the elders were bowing respectfully in front of him, and Evangelin was standing beside him as before. Their gazes were filled with fanaticism and respect.
Daniel told them they could rise and be at ease. They obeyed and slowly stood up.
"Your Majesty, now that you have officially become the Lord of all dragons, is it time to begin the second phase of the plans?" the First Elder stepped forward and asked.
"Yes, it is time. I want a group of dragons to be dispatched with Lady Evangelin to rebuild the Religion of Eternity. They will handle those matters."
"There is another group I want to send to the depths of the world, to the place I told you about. Find that individual," Daniel nodded in confirmation.
"As you wish, Your Majesty. Your orders will be carried out as soon as possible," all the elders said respectfully.
"During these three weeks, while I was gone, nothing happened?" Daniel changed the topic and asked.
"There were no problems. As you ordered, everything continued as before. Aside from spreading the rumors and narratives, we did nothing else," Nyxara stepped forward this time and answered.
"Good. So there is nothing that requires my direct attention?"
"Nothing that requires your direct involvement. However, during these three weeks while you were in seclusion, some conflicts occurred."
"Oh? Explain."
"The demons have declared a full-scale war on the human race. The border regions have completely collapsed and fallen into the demons’ hands, and they are advancing," Nyxara gave a brief explanation.
Daniel frowned. He had not expected this so soon. He could predict it would happen eventually, especially after all the Demon King’s children were killed by a human.
But he did not think it would happen this quickly, nor that the Demon King would truly dare to take such action.
"Do we need to intervene?" the First Elder asked. He knew their leader had once been human and might still have emotional ties to his former race.
"In fact, this could be the best opportunity for the Religion of Eternity to return," Daniel said thoughtfully. The Religion of Eternity and the demons had always been enemies. This was a well-known fact.
If the Religion of Eternity appeared and pushed back the demons, reclaiming the border regions and all the conquered lands, it would bring them enormous fame and popularity.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that a large portion of the humans who were saved might become followers of the Religion of Eternity.
He glanced at Evangelin. It was just a look, but it felt as if she read all his plans directly from his eyes and nodded.
"I’ll handle it and take care of it," she said.
"Is there anything else?" Daniel showed a slight smile and turned his attention back to the elders.
"How about spending more time among the dragons? They need to spend more time with their leader and become more familiar with you," the Third Elder suggested.
The suggestion made their Lord think. It was not a bad idea, but at the moment he did not have time for it. The ceremony announcing the heir of the Goblin Guild would be held soon, and he had to attend.
On top of that, he planned to challenge the fourth floor of the Tower, and he also needed to supervise the rebuilding of the Religion of Eternity. After all that, he had to go to the central continent.
He had many things to do. However, leading the dragon race was more important than all of them.
Fortunately, it was not necessary for him to be physically present for this matter. A clone would be enough.
"I’ll do it. I suppose I should personally preach among the dragons," he finally accepted the suggestion and explained his plan about using a clone.
The Third Elder smiled. Daniel’s rise to leadership had been sudden, and none of them had truly been prepared for it. At first, they thought problems might arise, or that this man might be even more arrogant than they were and cause trouble.
But over these three weeks and with all his instructions, it became clear they were wrong. In addition, today, with that epic speech, he had gained tremendous popularity among the dragons.
"When do you plan to leave this place, Your Majesty?" Nyxara asked.
"Tomorrow. Today I want to meet that uncle," Daniel replied.
"If there are no more questions, you are dismissed," he said.
Before leaving, the elders bowed once again. After they left, the palace became silent, until Evangelin broke the silence.
"You did better than I expected."
"I’ve led a great country before," Daniel laughed and replied sarcastically. He was not lying. In his previous life, he truly had been the leader of a country.
More or less, he knew how to rule a nation with authority. Of course, now he was facing the strongest race rather than an ordinary country, but he still had enough experience and knowledge.
Besides, the dragon race already had its own leadership structure. His selection as their leader did not drastically change their internal politics. He only changed their major external policies.
For thousands of years, due to the Goddess’s old commands, the dragons’ policy had been isolation and hiding from the world. He knew most dragons were not satisfied with that. After all, they were a proud and warlike race, not a calm and peaceful one.
If he had been sure that the dragons preferred peace over influence and intervention in the world, he would never have changed their policies so quickly. He would have moved much more slowly and gradually influenced them.
"I suppose you plan to return to your own world tomorrow," Evangelin nodded and changed the subject.
"That’s right. There are matters in my world that I need to handle. I doubt I’ll return to this world anytime soon," Daniel paused briefly before answering.
He did not know why, but his intuition told him that major events were about to happen at the Goblin Guild ceremony, events that would throw the entire country into chaos.
"So I guess this is goodbye for now," Evangelin said. Her tone was still indifferent, but there were emotions hidden within it, emotions that perhaps even she herself did not fully realize.
"Thank you for your help. I couldn’t have come here without you. As I said, I will provide you with enough of my Fallens."
"A group of dragons will also be with you. With their help, rebuilding the Religion of Eternity should not be a problem. Most importantly, you are there. I doubt anything will happen with you present. If you need my help, you can contact me anytime with the talisman," Daniel said with a slight smile.
"I should be the one thanking you..." Evangelin seemed like she wanted to say more, but in the end she remained silent and left without another word.
Daniel looked at her back. After she left, he suddenly disappeared from his seat.
The next moment, he appeared at the deepest and most ancient point of Dragon Valley, where the core of this dimension was located.
And also the place where that False God resided.
