Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven-Chapter 296: Brewing Storm
Two ships arrived on the island, one was carrying humans and the other carrying beasts.
They found the passenger ship docked on the Island’s shore. " Where is she?" Cat asked the captain the moment she landed.
The captain looked terrified of her, her reputation as a drunk maniac who beat everybody up made her a terrifying demon to others.
Even the young masters docked on the ship stood still without saying a single word. Their usual arrogance long gone.
They all knew each one of these people could singlehandedly destroy their entire families.
Even those who came from projection realm families knew their parents or grandparents stood zero chance against these monsters.
The captain led Cat and the others inside, he led them to a fancy room, the fanciest in the ship.
There they found her sleeping peacefully on a large bed surrounded by red curtains. Cat couldn’t hold back and ran to her.
She touched and shook her trying to wake her up, she even slapped her to no avail. Of course her mother hit her for doing that.
Aira created an array and scanned Naledi then sighed. " She’s hurt, deeply." Everybody looked worried.
" Soul damage?" Cathra asked. Aira nodded then shook her head. " Her soul is damaged but it seems to be healing just fine.
The issue is her mind, she suffered spiritual damage as well and healing that is..." She didn’t continue.
She didn’t have to, they all understood how hard healing spiritual damage was. Aira looked at the captain. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
" You said she was awake when you found her?" The captain nodded. " She saved us then lost consciousness."
Aira nodded and sighed with relief,
" Perhaps the damage is not as terrible as I thought it was, there’s still hope."
Avery suddenly came in and raised her glasses. " What about the king, did you see him?"
Her voice came out cold, the captain cowered and looked down. He was regretting ever calling these people.
They were more terrifying than the demonic beasts. He felt like he could die at any moment here.
" I..I." he stuttered unable to answer. Avery clicked her tongue. She was really annoyed and impatient.
However if the lady was here she suspected her lord was as well. " We’re going to search the entire island and nobody is leaving until we find him."
Her people ran out and flew to the island, she turned and looked at the crew and passengers of the ship.
" That includes you." They all shook with fear. " I..but it’s dangerous out there." One boy whispered.
Black flames ignited in her eyes. " Is that so?" Her voice sounded threatening. They all ran out of the ship as fast as they could.
She followed after them, Aira and the others stayed behind to look after Naledi. While everybody was out Naledi woke up.
" Ved, where’s Ved?" She shouted the moment she opened her eyes. Cat ran to her side.
" Yoh." She greeted with a grin. Naledi smiled. " Cat, I’m glad you’re here, I can’t stay awake for long so I need you to find Ved, he’s near the centre of the island."
Cat shook her head, " No I’m staying here with you, why would I go looking for that stupid dragon?"
Naledi sighed, " Stop being stubborn you stupid drunk, I’m fine, go find him please." Cat clicked her tongue and left.
She kicked off the ship causing it to rocket as if it would sink and she flew off. Her body cut through the sky like a streak of light.
She crashed near the centre of the island and saw a huge black hill Infront her hidden by tall grass and trees
She knew it was him, " Stupid dragon, stupid Alex stealing my Naledi again." She grumbled and grabbed him by the tail.
Threw him into the air then flew up and caught him. She flew back with him above her head.
Her body could barely be seen under his massive form. From afar it looked like he was flying by himself.
Everybody on the island saw him and flew back. Unlike Naledi he didn’t wake up, Avery took him up their ship.
Aira decided Naledi would come with them and so they went their separate ways. The captain of the passenger ship was relieved when they left.
They helped him repair his ship first then promised him rewards for finding them but he dreaded going to those monsters to ask for said reward.
The mood in both Ved’s minor world and the Ice Lotus City was not as jovial as one would expect.
Although they found their king and queen, they were unconscious and obviously not in any state to defend against anything.
In this state they were vulnerable and couldn’t even defend themselves. Avery and Aira knew that.
And if they did so did the enemies of these two.

In an underground lair, three people sat in throne like chairs that faced each other. At the centre was a painting of a bleeding eye.
" Where’s second?" One of them asked in a hoarse voice. " Busy, second has another task to complete."
Answered another in a deep masculine voice. " You’ve heard, with those two out of commission, our plans should progress more smoothly." The masculine man said.
The other two nodded along , he continued, " However they are still alive, I don’t like that, Three you know what to do."
" Ki ki ki, leave it to me boss." Three giggled in a feminine voice. Then the man called 1 turned towards four.
" You know what to do as well, do not fail." He said in his cold voice. Four stood up, " It shall be done." He replied in his hoarse voice and left.
Just like that they each left to carry out their own tasks. The rest of the world did not know the storm that was about to hit them.
None except two and those two were currently arguing. " You can’t interfere." The seer said in a stern voice.
The librarian gritted her teeth, " You might not care about this world you old ghost but it’s my home, I’m not letting it come into harm when I can stop it."
The librarian turned to leave but something inconceivable happened. The library shut it doors locking her in.
" I told you, you can’t interfere."
