Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven-Chapter 305: Shadow Force
Ambre de Habsburg walked into the underground layer with two of her subordinates.
Behind them the owner of a store that acted as a front for this layer lay on the ground unmoving. He was not dead, just knocked out cold.
After investigation she found this layer she believed to be one of the Crimson Order’s. In her hand was a formation.
The formation was like a master key that can break through most locks. The doors to this underground layer opened on their own.
" That was easy." She whispered and continued walking further down. The layer looked like nothing she had expected.
It was honestly underwhelming, there were no ornaments and the walls looked like they were carved by amateurs.
She was honestly starting to doubt this was the lair of the crimson order. An organisation will the red prince wouldn’t be so subpar.
After they reached the deepest layer they went through the biggest door. Behind it they could hear voices.
The door opened and they went in. The cloaks they were wearing had the stealth ability of Ved.
Even though the three of them were standing there Infront of them the people in the room were still looking around.
" Who is there?" One of them asked obviously nervous. Ambre deactivated the stealth ability of her cloak.
The moment they saw her they took a fighting stance and pulled out their vessels ready to attack.
" Tell us who you are right or face the wrath of our great master." A man with a sword stood forward threateningly.
Ambre ignored him and looked around the entire underground hall. The marks on the wall and the floor were not a bleeding eye.
She took out a compass artefacts, it seemed to be detecting something then it showed her the results.
" No esper blood energy, this seems like demonic energy instead." She talked to herself ignoring the people looking at her.
This seemed to piss them off even more, lightning flickered on the man’s sword and he was about to attack when she turned her eyes towards him.
" You’re not the crimson order, you’re just some idiots worshiping a low rank demon." She told them as a matter of a fact in a bored tone.
" This was a complete waste of my time." The people she was talking to were fuming with rage.
She had just called their master a lowly demon Infront of them. The man with a sword roared.
Amber’s eyes shone with pink light, " Stop." She ordered still in a bored tone. The man and all of his allies found their bodies refusing to move.
" Kneel." They knelt down, it was then that it dawned on them, the person they were dealing with was not an easy opponent.
They couldn’t see her face with the mask on but they figured she was probably a famous person.
She turned around, " This was a complete waste of time, let go." They first thought she was talking to them.
Then two people appeared out of thin air, they sighed realising they never stood a chance at all.
Infact these people didn’t even take them seriously at all. They were trying to summon a demon into this world yet they were not even considered a threat.
This made them dejected, they wondered what kind of faction the Crimson Order was to have people like that take action in groups.
Unlike the top leaders these guys were not privy to a lot of information. If they knew they would understand.
After all, the red prince was a very feared man across the world. Ambre and her two subordinates left New Ice Lotus City.
" It was foolish to expect Vermilion to hide so close to Naledi, however he did get here too fast and silently."
She whispered, neither of the two people flying behind her replied. They went south this time.
To check the old city of Vermilion which he abandoned during the invasion of the orcs. She heard it was ruled by Alya now.
Ambre was a very skeptical and careful person. She knew how loyal Alya was to Vermilion.
She didn’t think that loyalty disappeared into smoke. So when she arrived she didn’t inform Alya.
Using their cloaks they made sure to not be discovered. To this day she still marveled at how powerful this stealth ability was.
It was no where near the real thing but even top experts like Alya and other leaders including herself couldn’t see through it easily.
They would need to know in advance and have an artefact or formation that increases the strength of soul sense.
She wondered how many people in the world can see through the real deal, probably no more than five she figured.
To her this just meant Ved can assassinate anybody and nobody would even know, infact she knew he had done that before.
During the war with the aliens, he blew up multiple cities killing tens of thousands and nobody even saw him enter or leave.
Not even the great and powerful leaders of the alien races. They searched through the entire city and found nothing.
Eventually they decided to rest and think of another strategy when a stranger bumped into her.
This caught her by surprise, she was very vigilant and attentive but she didn’t see that person until they bumped into each other.
When she turned that person was gone, she knew something was up and checked her pockets.
As expected she found a piece of paper there. She smiled, whoever that person was must be very terrifying.
To sneak up on her, see through the cloak and slip a piece paper into her pocket that was hidden under her cloak and for her to still not see any of it.
She suspected it was Ved or Naledi herself but immediately dismissed that thought. Disregarding their current states, those two were too powerful for petty tricks.
They would’ve came up to her and told her what to do directly and she would’ve done it whether she wanted to or not like what she doing now leading the shadow force.
Fortunately those two weren’t tyrants, they offered rewards as well like Ved’s heart blood which is the purest form of blood for a beast second only to essence blood itself.
On top of that, they can also provide the rare will nourishing pills that only his people can create. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
She shook her head and looked at the piece of paper. It was marked with a red X just outside of this city.
She knew immediately what that was and didn’t waste another second. After looking around to see if anybody else saw them she made a call.
She waited on the marked spot outside the city and by nightfall another group of people showed up.
The white masks they were wearing allowed them to see through the stealth of the cloaks which was why they were dangerous.
To make sure they don’t fall into enemy hands they were imprinted with soul signature of the user.
They were soul artefacts only their users they use. The new arrivals brought with them large crates.
Most people still did not have spatial rings, earth was still new in that department and making them was not easy.
She had one though, the crates were open and inside were white cubes that pulsed with blue and green lines.
These cubes also couldn’t be seen without the masks. Everybody took as many as they can carry.
She carried the rest with her ring and they went down the passage to the underground layer of the Crimson Order.
Unlike that demon worshippers layer, this one had smooth walls. The barrier formations were harder to break through and it had traps as well.
Getting down was harder than she expected and they almost lost a member to one of the traps.
Along the way they planted the cubes on the walls. They eventually reached the deepest layer.
There were people here in black robes with a bleeding eye. Most of them were very weak but the amount of blood energy in them was overwhelming, they had killed and absorbed the blood of spiritual lifeforms.
Deep inside the layer were two people Ved would’ve recognised. A woman with a red vine whip and an old man shrouded in darkness.
These are the people who once attacked him with Vermilion. They too had reached the projection realm.
The woman sniffed the air and the darkness around the man shifted. They looked at each other and knew something was wrong.
The two of them had no loyalty to the order, they were only here because they once attacked the king of beasts.
They were afraid he would come for revenge and sought protection from Vermilion in exchange for their services.
During the years they had specially learnt abilities that would alert them of impeding doom.
They immediately ran away without telling anybody. They were going to use the members of the order as bait.
At the same time in another room inside this layer. A coffin opened up and Sbonga came out breathing heavily.
" Stupid bitch, one day I will make you pay." He grumbled remembering what happened a few moments ago. Ambre on the other hand reached the centre of this layer.
She poured out the cubes on the floor then turned around and walked off casually like she was taking a scroll.
