Zerath had finally reached the hidden base, located deep within the heart of the volcano. Even though it was hot, he didn’t slow his pace. After all, this was familiar territory. He had made this journey before.

The entrance to the base was concealed in an unconventional and dangerous way. To enter, one needed to jump into the crater of the volcano itself.

The very idea was enough to deter most people—after all, no one in their right mind would willingly leap into what appeared to be molten death below.

Zerath stood at the edge of the crater, glancing around briefly to ensure no one had followed him.

Satisfied that he was alone, he took a deep breath and stepped off the edge, letting gravity pull him downward.

As he fell, the intense heat surrounded him, but he showed no fear. Just as he neared the bottom, a sudden gust of wind erupted beneath him and slowed his landing.

When Zerath landed softly at the bottom, he smirked and walked forward. The crater’s interior wasn’t what it appeared to be from above.

Instead of molten lava, there was a wide tunnel leading into the heart of the volcano, hidden from view by a complex array of illusions.

He stepped into the tunnel, and after a few minutes of walking, the tunnel opened up into a massive underground base.

The base itself was a marvel of engineering. Built into the rocky interior of the volcano, it was a sprawling network of chambers and corridors.

It was filled with platforms that were suspended by thick chains over pools of molten lava far below. There were also a lot of 4-Star Tamers that worked as guards and operatives here and there.

Zerath then made his way through the base and headed toward the inner chambers where the elders gathered.

As he entered, two familiar figures stepped forward to greet him. Tarron, a big man with broad shoulders and an intimidating presence.

The other one was Sevrina. A hot-headed woman known for her fiery temper and sharp tongue.

Tarron crossed his arms and glanced at him. He smirked. "Zerath, did you get it?"

Sevrina, who stood beside him, glared impatiently. "Well? Don’t keep us waiting. Did you manage to steal the essence or not?"

Zerath looked at both of them and smirked. "Of course I got it. It was pretty easy for me to get it."

Zerath then began to mock the Volcaria. "That stupid Volcaria family put it out on display like a trophy instead of guarding it properly. They made it ridiculously easy for me to steal."

Tarron let out a low chuckle. He was pleased by the outcome. "Hah! Those fools thought they were untouchable."

Sevrina, on the other hand, scowled. "Idiots. They underestimated us. That was their mistake."

Zerath then reached into his spatial ring and let out the Red Dragon Blood Essence briefly before securing it again. "It’s all here. Another legendary material in our hands."

Sevrina grinned. Her impatience had been replaced by excitement. "Good. With this, we’re one step closer to completing the collection."

Tarron nodded and became serious. "If that’s the case, let’s not waste time. We should meet the leader and deliver the good news."

Zerath agreed. He gestured for them to lead the way. "Yes. Let’s inform the leader. We’ve made significant progress—and soon, we’ll have the power of the Red Dragon at our fingertips."

The three of them moved deeper into the base. Guards and operatives parted to let them pass.

They were curious about what they were about to do, but they knew better than to interrupt the elders.

Lucius and the others arrived at the edge of the volcano’s crater, gazing down into the seemingly bottomless pit. Standing there, it was clear that this wasn’t an ordinary place.

Ragnar folded his arms and frowned slightly as he looked at the crater. "To think that their hidden base is inside this crater. No wonder the empire couldn’t find it. It’s the perfect hiding spot."

Savra nodded. "Our estate is built around an open volcano—visible to anyone who looks closely enough. But this... this is different. It’s completely concealed."

After a moment of contemplation, she turned to Lucius. "So, what should we do?"

Before Lucius could answer, Ragnar stepped forward. "What else? We’ll enter it, of course."

He already prepared himself to jump into the crater. But before he could jump, Lucius stopped him. "No! We can’t just rush in."

Ragnar frowned. He was confused and also annoyed by Lucius. "Why not? This is their base, right? Isn’t finding it the whole point?"

Lucius could only sigh. "Yes, Patriarch. Our main objective was to locate their base—and we’ve done that."

Lucius then glanced at Ragnar and reminded him. "But now that we’ve found it, the goal isn’t to charge in recklessly. This is enemy territory."

He pointed at the crater. "If we attack now without proper planning, we’ll be outnumbered and surrounded. Even with your strength, that’s too risky."

Ragnar frowned, but he didn’t interrupt as Lucius continued. "There should be a lot of operatives inside—possibly their leaders, too. If we’re caught, it could ruin everything."

Lucius then pointed to the empire. "Instead, you and the Matriarch should return and inform the empire. Once they know, they can mobilize their forces and launch a proper attack."

Savra nodded slowly. She had considered Lucius’ words. "That makes sense. But what about you, Lucius? What will you do?"

Lucius smirked confidently. He pointed back toward the crater. "Of course, I’ll enter and spy on them."

Both Savra and Ragnar frowned deeply at his bold declaration. Savra shook her head. "No. It’s too dangerous, even for us. How do you expect to survive in enemy territory alone?"

Ragnar crossed his arms. "She’s right, Lucius. Even with your skills, sneaking into their base is risky. You might not come out alive."

Lucius’s smirk didn’t waver. Instead, it grew wider. He gestured toward his spatial ring. "Relax. I already have a plan."
