"Thank you, man, I can really rely on you in times like this." Sean raises his hand for a fist bump and the two of them bumps their fists.

He really doesn’t want to talk about such things but after discovering his bestfriend already has a relationship and the two even did the deed, he can’t help but feel a little complex.

"Regarding your situation, I think that your bloodline came from a Beastman, I don’t know which tribe though, all I know that just like the Beastman race, you are also restricted to a certain type of mystique creatures."

"You mean that I can only sign wolf-type mystique creatures?" Asks Jericho.

He doesn’t really mind this, after signing a contract with Golden, he’s already developed a keen sense of control over wolves.

"No, you’re still human, you can sign a contract with a large variety of mystique creatures but they must be canines."

This was gratifying, this will help him have a wider range of choices.

"What type of canine should I sign a contract once I reach bronze rank?" Jericho asks.

"I don’t know but if you can master the Basic Cultivation Technique as early as possible, there’s a high chance that you can sign an additional pet beast."

Jericho smiles, this was something he already knows.

"Wait! Now that I think about it, both of us are lacking in methods to deal with flying types." Sean suddenly states which is actually true.

"Me and my partners can hit targets from afar but we don’t have any flying methods, maybe I should sign a contract with flying mystique creatures once I reach silver rank."

Jericho laughs out loud. "I’m probably going to leave that department to Missel, I think that my current focus should be enhancing my battle strength in the wild."

Sean looks at him and can see that he has an ambition, he wasn’t surprised, he knows him from both his arrival to this world and the memories he acquired.

"You really wish to seek such heights?" He can’t help but ask. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"Yes, I want to reach that fabled realm." Jericho nods his head seriously.

"If you focus at hunting mystique creatures for improvement, then search for an assassin, you are an all-rounder, Golden is a offensive frontline fighter, only an assassin would greatly increase your killing power."

The two of them talks about their plan in the future while lying on the same bed.

They are more than just bestfriends but brother from different parents, they might not be related by blood but they are forged by the bond they have on their years of friendship.

The next few days was calm for everyone, Sean and Hina’s relationship had become closer.

After the talk with Jericho, he decided to no longer hide his emotion, ignoring Hina is hurting her, rather than be a coward, he’ll take the step forward.

A couple days later, Sean and the rest of the students were gathered by the principal.

"There’s a change of plan, a couple of ships were destroyed!" This was a bomb for everyone except for Sean who’s confident with the strength of the principal.

Sean frowns. "Is there no one in the Federation that went with them?"

The principal looks at Fabuki. "There were, actually, in just this week, the Federation lost more than a hundred gold rankers."

This shocked everyone, they didn’t expect that the damage done was so great.

"It was leaked, didn’t it, the competition?" Sean asks.

The principal nods her head. "Yes, the situation is a lot dire than we first expected, the traitors of humanities had shared this news to other intelligent races."

Fabuki added. "We decided to travel with the other powers in Z Zone, also, we’re going to pool up resources for the remaining youths."

"Are we finally going to compete with the students in other cities?" Sean asks.

"Yes but my sister and I think that having you participate in the battle between our zone is too overkill so we want you to sit this one out." Fabuki explains.

Sean frowns. "Does the result of this match won’t affect our participation against the other zones?"

"Yes and no, the main tournament will still apply to everyone but the winner in each zones will battle each other and each victory will result in the students and their school gaining more rewards."

Sean asks. "What are the limits of the rewards?"

"Up to silver rank, since it’s only at this level, we can pool as much resources as we can."

Sean nods his head, silver rank is still valuable for him but not inaccessible.

"Okay, I’ll not participate but how can we have a match if each cities are separated by thousand and even tens of thousands of kilometers?" He asks.

This world is incredibly large and complex, such distance is quite vast on his former world but in this world, the only thing that stopping the cities from truly connecting through trade is the danger of mystique creatures.

"I know that you guys are unaware but each zones has dividing line and we can only passed through the zone on a specific point."

She waves her hand to follow her and they went to the bridge of the ship.

This is the first time everyone was so high up in the air.

They marvel at the new scenery, Sean watches calmly.

"Our city is close to the Zone Border, the closest is City Z1, in fact, they might be already there."

Sean states at a certain direction. "It seems that we aren’t that late, we had already caught up with City Z3 and Z4."

Everyone turn to look and ships similar to them can be seen flying near them.

Instantly, battle intent rises from their body, they heard that Sean isn’t going to participate, he’s the only one in their mind that can soundly suppress them.

"Since I’m not going to participate in this battle, Emirose, you take my spot." Sean calmly said but his words made the young girl excited.

"Are we going to wait for the other cities in the Zone Border?" He asks.

"Yes, there are thirty cities in Z Zone, five cities were destroyed by terrorist cults and organizations, ten were overrun by mystique creatures."

Sean frowns, this was devasting, this was already half of the cities in their zone.

"I heard that seven participating cities were also destroyed by the combined attacks of mystique creatures and terrorists."

Sean’s expression was ugly, this was basically pushing them to the brink of extinction.

"Judging from the current situation, it seems that there is no future in our zone." Sean sighs.

The principal also sighs, Fabuki looks at him. "You’re quite perceptive, if we reach the top ten in the tournament, we can relocate our city into another zone."

Sean looks at the place around them, he can’t help but feel that it’s a pity to leave all of this behind.

"The Federation is using this opportunity to gather the remaining human cities into just a couple of zones." Sean sighs.

This was considered a retreat, he can’t deny that the future is looking bleak for humanity.

"We also didn’t know, it’s just the death of multiple participants made us realize that the terrorists has become too powerful, we can’t deal with them on our own."

"It seems that we’re going to war and the schools are going to be the ones producing the soldiers, no wonder they’re so generous to martial artists, it’s because they’re sending us to our deaths."

The principal’s expression was very ugly, this was the total opposite of what she wanted to accomplish.

"Don’t blame yourself, this world is cruel and the only way for us to survive is to grow stronger."

Sean and the rest arrives at the Zone Border, there, they saw a massive blue barrier.

Everyone was gobsmacked, they never expect to see such a scene in their entire lives.

"This wall is what separates each borders, this was created by this world and the unnatural existence of portal gates." The principal explains.

"Wait! Before you guys go out, you need to prepare yourself, you’re going to enter a place filled with dense spiritual energy to the point that it sometimes materializes into a fog." Sean pauses.

"Is this place greater than the inner core?" He asks.

If this is the case, then, they can cultivate much faster, he needs Jasmine to reach the peak of bronze rank.

"Yes, even denser than you imagine, Zone Z is filled with talents everywhere but our foundation here is just too shallow, we only started developing this place forty or fifty years after the great shift."

BOOM! Sean and everyone else was shocked by this information, they look at the wall with trepidation, there are only three individuals that were excited.

Sean, Jericho and Hina, all three were giddy to feel the might of the boundary.

Coming out of their ships, they are greeted by people wearing the same armour, Sean pauses.

He turns to the principal and asks. "Are they wearing armor?"

"These aren’t just armors but living mystique creatures, they are contracted by almost all border guards, they lived by consuming blood and iron." Old man Johnson explains.

He likes teaching Sean since the latter has a unique insight in different creatures.

"Neat." Sean states before following the principal, he greeted all the soldiers he passed by.

Jericho and the rest does the same, not because they respect the soldiers since they really doesn’t know what they do but because they believe in Sean and what he does.

"Hahaha! Look at these country bumpkins!" An obnoxious laughter was heard.

Then ten people with bodies that are as big as Sweet Fruit appears in their line of sight.

Sean frowns, he disliked the way they looked at his sisters and the other girls.

"Principal?" He turns to the principal, the latter smiles and nods her head.

Suddenly, a pressure descends on the group of large kids, it was Sean’s killing intent that manifested into an aura.

"I suggest that you fix those eyes of yours if you don’t want me to gouge them out."

"Such words, young man! Do you really think you’re hot stuff because you manifested an aura!?" A burly man appears and roars at Sean.

The presence of a gold ranker, the manifestation of an aura belonging to vitality burst.

ROAR! Wuk let out a loud roar feeling infuriated that his master was being disrespected.

Suddenly, a powerful presence descends, the same aura as the man and an image of a sun appears above him.

ROAR! Jasmine transforms into a giant fox and her demonic energy flares up.

"Why don’t you try me?" Sean sneers as he immediately locks on the burly man.

The atmosphere immediately becomes tense, just as a fight was about to happen, an even stronger presence descends.

"Stupid Bear, do you dare fight me?" The principal was infuriated, this was supposed a fight between students and yet the principal of that school actually dares to join.

"Hmph! Bullying us! You two sisters are still the same!" The man called Bear grumbles but it seems that he’s afraid of the principal.

Sean waves his hand, both Wuk and Jasmine can only revert to their normal state but his action stunned everyone.

"These two are your pet beasts?" Suddenly, a handsome young man approaches and asks.

Sean frowns but seeing the sincere eyes on the young fellow, he decided to answer with a nod.
