Beast Taming: Reincarnated With The Ultimate Bond System!-Chapter 194 - : : Quiet Hands, Gentle Fire!
The bedroom was quiet.
Not the empty kind of quiet—
the safe kind.
Soft lamplight washed the room in gold, shadows stretching lazily across the stone walls.
The curtains fluttered faintly from an open window, letting in the cool night air and the distant sounds of the city finally settling down.
Aiden sat on the edge of the bed, shirt discarded, shoulders relaxed for the first time since the battle.
Lysandra stood in front of him, expression focused and serious in that way that always made him behave... at least a little.
A small basin of warm water sat beside her, cloths neatly folded, salves lined up like soldiers.
She dabbed the cloth against his side.
Aiden hissed. "—Ah!"
"Stop moving," Lysandra said immediately, not even looking up.
"I wasn’t moving," He protested.
She pressed the cloth again.
Harder.
"Ack—Ly!" Aiden flinched. "Be a little gentle, would you?"
Lysandra’s ears twitched.
Her lips pressed into a thin pout.
"Oh?" She said sweetly, applying pressure right over the shallow cut. "Then perhaps Sir Aiden Nightshade would prefer to use his precious healing instead."
Aiden sucked in a breath through clenched teeth. "...You’re enjoying this."
"I am doing my duty," She replied primly, though her tail flicked once behind her.
He chuckled despite himself. "If I healed myself, how would I get my hot wife to take care of me?"
Lysandra stopped.
Slowly—very slowly—she looked up at him.
Her face was red.
Not battle-red.
Not anger-red.
Soft. Warm. Embarrassed.
"H-Hot...?" She echoed.
Aiden leaned back on his hands, smirk lazy. "Absolutely."
She huffed, pressing the cloth down again. "You are impossible."
"And yet," He said lightly, "you married me."
Her ears twitched further as she muttered something entirely un-princess-like under her breath.
She swapped the cloth for a warm compress, holding it against his skin.
"Does it hurt?" She asked, quieter now.
"A bit," He admitted. "But it’s manageable."
Her hands softened instantly.
"There," She murmured. "Breathe."
He did.
Slowly.
Her touch was steady. Careful. Close.
She applied the salve next, fingers cool, brushing over his skin with practiced precision.
Every now and then, her thumb lingered just a second longer than necessary.
Aiden noticed.
Of course he did.
"You’re very focused," He said.
"As I should be," Lysandra replied. "You were reckless."
He raised a brow. "I was protecting our kids."
She didn’t argue that.
Instead, she leaned closer, tying the bandage snugly.
"You scared me when you said you fought a Pale Hand," She admitted quietly.
Aiden softened.
He reached up, gently brushing his fingers against her wrist.
"I always come back," He said.
She looked at him then.
Really looked.
"And one day," She said, voice barely above a whisper, "you might not."
The teasing drained from his expression.
He stood and cupped her face with both hands.
"Lysandra," He said softly. "Look at me."
She did.
"I fight so I can come home to you," He continued. "To all of you."
Her eyes shimmered.
She swallowed. "You smelled like blood when you came in."
He smiled faintly. "You kissed me anyway."
Her cheeks darkened. "That doesn’t mean I liked it."
"Sure felt like you did."
She swatted his chest—lightly. "Sit down before I reopen the wound."
He obeyed.
Mostly.
She finished wrapping the bandage, fingers lingering as she tied the knot.
"There," She said. "Done."
He tilted his head. "That’s it?"
"Yes."
"No reward?"
She blinked. "Reward?"
Aiden leaned in just enough to invade her space. "For being such a good patient."
"You are unbelievable," She said, but she didn’t step away.
Instead—
She leaned forward.
And pressed a kiss to his lips.
Short.
Soft.
Measured.
Then another, lingering a little longer.
Aiden hummed quietly.
She pulled back just enough to look at him. "Satisfied?"
"Not even close," He replied honestly.
Her breath hitched.
She kissed him again—this time slower, her hand curling into his hair, careful not to pull.
When she finally pulled away, her forehead rested against his.
"You worry me," She whispered.
He smiled gently. "You ground me."
Silence settled between them again.
Comfortable.
Lysandra helped him lie back, adjusting the pillows carefully.
"Ly, it’s not like I am badly hurt. Just few scratches." Aiden protested.
She ignored him. "You are not allowed to fight anyone tomorrow," She declared.
"Tomorrow?" He echoed. "That’s generous."
"Three days."
He groaned. "Ly—"
"Five," She countered immediately.
"It’s not how it works. I need to get stronger."
"It is when I’m the one with the bandages."
He laughed, reaching for her hand. "Stay."
She didn’t hesitate.
She climbed onto the bed beside him, curling against his uninjured side, head resting against his chest.
His arm wrapped around her automatically.
Outside, the city breathed.
Inside, everything was finally still.
"You did good today," she said quietly.
"So did you."
She smiled.
And kissed his chest, right over his heart.
The kiss lingered on his skin, warm and soft, her lips brushing the steady thrum of his heartbeat through the thin bandage.
Aiden’s fingers tightened in her hair, threading through the silken strands as he exhaled a low, contented sound.
Lysandra lifted her head just enough to meet his gaze.
A faint flush still colored her cheeks from his earlier compliment, and Aiden couldn’t resist.
"You’re staring," She murmured, voice husky at the edges.
"Can you blame me?" His thumb traced the sharp line of her jaw. "My beautiful, fierce wife... concern and all."
She huffed, but the sound dissolved into something softer when he tilted her chin and claimed her mouth again.
This kiss wasn’t gentle. It was slow, deliberate, hungry.
His tongue slid against hers, coaxing, teasing, until she made a small, needy sound in the back of her throat.
When they broke apart, both breathing harder, Aiden’s smirk returned—darker now, edged with heat.
"You missed a spot," He said, voice low.
Lysandra arched a brow. "Did I?"
"Mmm." He guided her hand lower, over the ridges of his abdomen, stopping just above the waistband of his trousers. "Right here. Still hurts."
Her ears flicked forward, interest sparking. "Does it?"
She leaned down, pressing an open-mouthed kiss to the skin just beneath his navel.
Aiden’s breath caught. She did it again, slower, letting her tongue flick out to taste the salt of his skin. Her tail curled lazily behind her, brushing against his thigh.
"Better?" She whispered against him, lips grazing lower.
"Getting there," He managed, voice rough.
Lysandra’s fingers hooked into the laces of his trousers, tugging them loose with deliberate patience.
She looked up at him through her lashes—teasing, challenging. "You were very brave today, Sir Aiden. Perhaps you do deserve a reward."
Aiden’s hips shifted restlessly. "Ly..."
She freed him slowly, wrapping her warm fingers around his already-hard length. He groaned, head falling back against the pillows as she stroked once, twice—maddeningly light.
"Look at you," She murmured, voice velvet and sin. "So tense. So needy."
Her thumb circled the head, spreading the bead of moisture there. Aiden’s hand fisted in the sheets.
"You’re enjoying this too much," He growled.
Lysandra smiled—slow, wicked, princess no longer. "Immensely."
She leaned down, breath ghosting over him, but didn’t take him in her mouth yet. Instead, she kissed the inside of his thigh, nipped gently, then soothed with her tongue.
"Ly, please—"
"Please what?" She looked up again, lips brushing the tip as she spoke. "Tell me, Aiden. Use your words."
His laugh came out strained. "You’re cruel."
"Only for you."
She licked a long, slow stripe up the underside of his cock, swirling her tongue around the head before pulling back just enough to make him whine. Then she did it again. And again. Teasing. Tasting. Driving him slowly insane.
Aiden’s fingers tangled in her hair—not pushing, just anchoring himself as his hips rocked helplessly toward her mouth.
Finally—finally—she took him in. Warm, wet heat enveloped him inch by inch as she sank down, lips stretched around his thickness. Aiden cursed under his breath, the sound ragged.
Lysandra hummed, the vibration shooting straight through him. She pulled back slowly, tongue pressing flat against him, then took him deeper.
Her hand worked what her mouth couldn’t reach, twisting gently at the base.
"Fuck—Ly, you’re perfect," He rasped.
She glanced up, eyes dark with lust, cheeks hollowed as she sucked. The sight alone nearly undid him.
Aiden’s thighs trembled. "God, your mouth... so hot, so fucking good."
She moaned around him in response, taking him to the back of her throat. He felt her swallow, and his control frayed.
"Ly—close—"
She didn’t stop. If anything, she moved faster, hand stroking in time with her mouth, cheeks flushed, eyes watering just a little but never breaking contact with his. She wanted to watch him fall apart.
And he did.
Aiden’s back arched off the bed as he came with a guttural groan, spilling hot down her throat.
Lysandra took every drop, swallowing greedily, her tongue milking him through it until he shuddered and went limp.
Only then did she release him with a soft, wet pop.
She crawled back up his body, licking her lips with deliberate slowness, a satisfied feline smile curving her mouth.
Aiden dragged her down into a fierce kiss, tasting himself on her tongue and not caring one bit.
His hands roamed—cupping her breasts through the thin silk of her nightgown, thumbs circling her hardened nipples until she gasped into his mouth.
When they broke apart, both breathless, he rested his forehead against hers.
"You," he said hoarsely, "are going to be the death of me."
Lysandra’s giggled, "Good. Then you’ll die happy."
He laughed, low and warm, pulling her flush against him.
The bandage tugged slightly, but the ache was distant now—drowned out by the heat of her body, the scent of her skin, the soft sounds she made when he kissed her neck.
