Beastmen Love-Chapter 221: Healing Hearts

Claud looks at Astri and sighs, with a mix of feelings. What he most feared to happen, happened.. The evil forces took Astri, and they tried to consume her for years. They held her for years.

"When her soul was broken, Baal held her with him. She didn’t imagine she had fought and stayed with him for so long.." Kangki says in a low voice.

Their hearts sank when they heard that.

"Are you saying she stayed with him for years? All these years without form, before she met Kenzou and Shinkou, she was with him?" Zin asks.

Kangki nods. All of them look at Astri, their hearts sad for what she has been through.

"She said that... She didn’t fear him at any moment. She held herself onto our love for her. That if I could get out of evil by following her love, she could do the same easily." Kangki softly says.

"You went through the same?" Shinkou asks.

"Kangki was a Monster once." Tyr tells Shinkou, making Shinkou impressed.

"It doesn’t take the fact that she went through the thing I feared the most.. I want to go see the Shrine. That is the kind of place Astri has to be. We need to raise a place with the same energy." Claud says.

They trust Claud’s opinions, and if he believes that’s important, then they should look after it the same as him.

"You better wait outside.. If you see her naked, you might not hold up. I couldn’t, as you can see." Kangki says.

Astri has some hickeys around her neck and some around her body, but the others can’t see because she’s covered up to her breasts.

They can’t deny that imagining her naked body already made them hard as rocks, so they decide to wait outside and not risk any crazy idea. Beastmen might understand that they share their females with other males, but they only accept sharing their intimate moments if the female wants that. And Astri was very clear that she would never do that because she loves all of them and she needs to respect their love for her.

Kangki helps Astri get ready for breakfast. She wanted to wear a yukata to hide Kangki’s love marks. He only held the fabric where she asked him to, because he didn’t know how to dress her.

He looks at her when she’s ready and smiles.

"What is it? Strange?" She asks him.

"No. You look beautiful. It just made me think that all night I had all your body that is now under these fabrics. I feel lucky that I could see and feel it." He answers, making her giggle.

"I’m happy you feel that way." She says.

When she’s out, everyone looks at her impressed because they never saw her with those clothes, besides Shinkou and Kenzou, of course.

"Might be a biased opinion, but you look so beautiful in a yukata." Shinkou says, and hugs her waist, and they kiss.

"Thank you, love."

"A yuka-what?" Dieg asks.

"A yukata. It’s traditional clothes from Hinoshiki Village. I got used to them and like them."

"You look so beautiful, mom." Yuki says, with shining eyes.

"Thank you, sweetheart. I’ve brought some for you and Aurora, but when I bought them for you, I didn’t know so many years had passed. In my mind, you were still small." Astri says, sitting at the table with everyone.

"How did you learn so much time has passed?" Elias asks.

"When I met Biggie to bring us to Aquaterra." She answers, and then tells him how it happened.

She tried to make it funny at first, but as she tells how it proceeded, they could sense it was something very painful for Astri when she found out the truth.

"We want to go see the Spirit Tree Shrine." Claud says to Astri.

"We can go. I need to go back and bring Lord Seiryuu’s ship back." Astri nods and starts to eat.

"Who is this Lord Seiryuu? Giving you a ship is something very meaningful." Lee asks with a jealous tone that everyone could notice.

Astri tried to explain, but no one understood her because she had her mouth filled with food. Kenzou rolls his eyes, chuckling.

"Lord Seiryuu is an ancient beastmen from our continent called Mizuryuu. He’s from a family of sacred Mizuryuus who help keep the energies of our continent sacred and pure. They’re just not as pure as unicorns, but they’re very connected to Nature. He felt Astri was special just by looking at her." Kenzou explains.

"Is he expecting to become her spouse for this favor of lending his ship?" Koa asks, also jealous.

"Well, he asked her to let him court her, but she didn’t promise him anything." Shinkou answers.

"Mizuryuus are very focused on keeping what is sacred protected, and he knew that Astri is the most sacred being of all. He believed that if she became his spouse, she would stay there." Kenzou explains.

"And they really keep energies balanced?" Claud asks.

"Yes. For hundreds and hundreds of years. Water is the main source of life. Being water dragons, they use the water to keep the continent balanced."

"How?"

"Spiritual practices. Strengthening their bodies, minds and souls." Kenzou answers.

"And what exactly are these practices?" Beau asks.

"Meditation. Training the body without the objective to make only the body strong, but to make the mind and consciousness more present."

They hear still a bit confused, but it sounds very much like things Astri used to do. They could notice that she was improving her powers and abilities through what she was doing, but they imagined it was something only she could do as Nature’s Daughter.

"And you do that, too?" Claud asks.

"Yes. Only higher ranks of beasts with spiritual training can take care of the Spirit Tree Shrine." Kenzou answers.

"Please, teach me. It will be an honor to have you as my master, and I’ll be eternally grateful for becoming stronger and also creating more balanced energies to protect Astri." Claud says.

"Us. Teach us." Koa says.

All of the spouses ask to be trained. Kenzou smiles and nods.

"The Mizuryuus are the best for this role, but I can help you with everything I can." Kenzou says.

"They might be the best, but they will ask for something in exchange. And as I noticed, they would for sure want Astri as a spouse. Astri is not a bargain object." Dieg says.

"Aw.. Thank you, love. They’re males before anything else. However, even if you don’t believe it, they’re very respectful. They would never force me into anything, knowing it would be breaking a balance they worked so much to build." Astri says.

"I don’t mind anymore if you have more spouses. As long as you are protected. But using that as a bargain, I also don’t like it." Wayde affirms.

"I have too many spouses already.. I’m freaking out sometimes. I mean, when I got into this world and met Wayde, I thought I would for sure have only him as a spouse. Now I have 12! 15 in my heart. That’s crazy." She says, holding her head.

"Mom.. You know that there are females who are not even half of who you are and have more than twenty males." Hopin says.

"Aunty Ana has 28 now. And she treats all of them very well." Yuki says.

"Queen Deanora has almost 50." Elias mentions too.

"Now that’s scary." Astri chuckles awkwardly. "I believe that looking actively for a spouse will call attention to all kinds of males. When you don’t let things flow naturally, you will bring only the males who are more interested in having a female to have children. I’m not looking after only to make our family bigger. I’m looking after love. Love that our family deserves to have."

Hearing that made her spouses feel so grateful, and also made her children learn something very important that they will bring for the rest of their lives. Specially for Yuki and Aurora, who will have spouses in the future.

"Yuki, not even realizing, has this same belief. So many males asked to become her spouse, and she denied all of them." Wayde says, patting his hand on Yuki’s head, very proud of her.

"She’s right. You don’t have to rush. Enjoy every part of your life. Become stronger. Smarter. Wiser. Build your dreams. When you less imagine, the right one will appear. That serves for Yuki, Aurora, and also for the boys." Astri says and smiles at their children.

They smile too, and nod. They spend the day together. Astri is brought to the Centaur’s leader, who leads the farmers to keep a steady production of vegetables and herbs. She gives him the seeds of rice and teaches him how they can be planted. Astri also goes to visit the hospital and helps the doctors like old times, and watches her make everyone heal their hearts.

Aurora and Yuki sit near her mother while she’s treating a wounded male. Astri teaches them medicine and how to clean and suture wounds. Astri is impressed that they’re not afraid of that. She wonders if they saw her fathers hurt many times and had to help them.

The males started to make a line to be treated by Astri, angering her spouses, and they dispersed the line because they wouldn’t stay there long. They walk to the walls, and Astri looks at the big city that the United Tribes has become.

She’s decided now to implement a festival, just like in Hinoshiki Village, and make the tribes brighter and have fun.
