Becoming a God Starts with Acting-Chapter 397: Turbulent Seas (4)
"Do you still remember me?"
The merfolk princess suddenly spoke. She flicked her tail, and in an instant, she drew even closer to Nana.
Nana didn’t back away. Her amber eyes seemed to glow as she fixed her gaze on the princess.
The upper half of the princess’s body was only slightly larger than Nana’s, yet with her tail, she appeared over two meters tall.
Right now she was smiling, the delicate contours of her face so exquisite they were almost blinding.
Suddenly, she raised her hand. Her long, sharp nails gently lifted Nana’s chin. Smiling, she said, "What a beautiful face." She licked her lips. "These eyes of yours truly make me... excited."
Nana’s lips curved. "I think there’s something that will excite you even more."
The moment she finished speaking, a magic circle appeared above the merfolk’s head, and arrows of light immediately shot down like a rainstorm.
The princess’s eyes widened. She instinctively retreated almost at once, but her back quickly struck a solid "wall."
No, not a wall at all—water that had been frozen solid.
Panicked, the princess looked up, only to see Nana suddenly clench her fist. A heartbeat later, the ice behind the princess shattered, as though a great force had slammed into her from behind, and then she was sealed inside a block of ice.
Nana flicked her arms out. Ancient runes instantly wrapped around her hands, climbing all the way up to her forearms. Her hands were nearly swallowed in radiance, and two blades of light emerged from her grip, gleaming with a sharp, piercing brilliance.
The princess was still staring at her in a daze, as if even her expression had been frozen in place.
Nana smirked, mocking—but at that exact moment, the situation shifted.
The princess trapped in ice suddenly curved her lips into a dazzling smile. Her pale pink eyes seemed to ignite with a vivid, excited red. Her brows rose and tightened slightly, as though she were truly, overwhelmingly thrilled.
And then... "Boom!"
With a single flick of her tail, the entire block of ice shattered!
At the same moment, her body shot forward with impossible speed! Her claws raised high, then slashed downward with decisive, ferocious force!
"Clang!"
The sound rang out like metal crashing against metal. The shockwave rippled outward, stirring the once-still seabed into bursts of rising bubbles.
At the center of the clash, sparks continued to erupt.
The merfolk’s claws met Nana’s twin light blades directly, the two forces pressing hard against each other, neither yielding an inch.
At that moment, the princess suddenly smiled—and Nana instantly felt a powerful wave of water surging toward her.
She twisted her body sharply, flipping upside down, legs suspended in the water, narrowly dodging the princess’s sweeping tail strike.
At the same time, runes suddenly flared to life at the heels of her boots. They gathered swiftly, transforming into two razor-sharp blades.
Using her momentum, Nana spun once in the water, her heel stabbing straight into the princess’s back!
It sounded slow when described, but in reality everything unfolded in the same heartbeat as the princess’s tail strike.
"Aaaaa!"
A low roar escaped as the princess turned sharply, her claws slicing through the water and generating a current strong enough to hurl Nana backward.
Nana could only raise her blades to block. Her body was driven far back before she finally managed to stop.
Her legs wavered for a moment, but she straightened immediately, prepared for the princess’s next attack.
But instead, she saw the princess collapse onto the floor.
Yes—the floor. The endless sky-colored expanse around them had vanished, replaced by a luxurious chamber decorated entirely in pink gemstones, matching the princess herself.
Beneath Nana’s feet and before her eyes, the floor had been carved into two gouged lines by her blade-edged heels, cracked open with traces of blood lingering—blood belonging to the princess.
Ahead, the merfolk princess clutched her back with both hands, her body trembling uncontrollably.
Even so, Nana tightened her grip on her twin light blades, and another magic circle formed above her head, ready to unleash an attack at any moment.
She knew that one strike wouldn’t be enough to take down a Merfolk. There was no doubt the merfolk before her was planning something else.
But the moment Nana looked over, the princess suddenly lifted her head. She raised her blood-soaked hands before her eyes, her breath hot and ragged. Something strange flickered in her gaze—her expression wasn’t entirely pain, but a kind of thrilled excitement.
Her brows drew together. A provocative smile curled on her lips, her eyes widening slightly as she moaned softly, "Really... really wonderful, hahaha! Ah~"
Nana frowned, speechless. This appearance of the merfolk frightened her even more than when she had been baring her claws.
Nana hurled one of her blades directly at the princess—a simple attack, one that could have easily been dodged, more like something thrown out of frustration.
But the princess didn’t even bother to avoid it.
"Thud!"
The sound of metal piercing flesh echoed. The blade embedded itself in the princess’s shoulder—yet she only let out a loud cry, her tail slapping the ground as her body curled inward, gasping in a strange, ecstatic rhythm that filled the chamber.
Nana pressed her lips together, lifting her foot and instinctively retreating step after step.
She wanted to get out of here! Fine—she could call it running away or losing, she didn’t care! This merfolk was too bizarre!
But the moment Nana turned around, she saw the princess’s figure already blocking her path.
Nana barely caught her breath before her blade swung upward on instinct.
A sound like countless bubbles bursting filled the air. The princess’s body dissolved into sea foam, vanishing instantly.
But the foam gathered elsewhere—forming two identical merfolk, identical princesses...
"Don’t go, don’t go..."
"We’re having so much fun... haha..." 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Their whispers echoed around Nana’s ears—right when she was about to snap, the voices vanished, as if the one teasing her was dancing precisely on the edge of her patience.
The scene before them shifted again, returning to the endless sky-colored vastness, no longer the chamber.
The princess slowly rose, covering her mouth with a hand stained in blood. Smears of red streaked her face, neck, and chest. Her long pale-pink hair clung to the fresh blood.
The blade in her shoulder had been pulled out by her own hand and tossed aside, and even during that, she trembled with excitement.
She licked the blood off her fingertips, her smile still bright, still taunting.
"Come now, don’t be scared. Even though I look like this, I’m really not a pervert." Her voice turned soft. "I actually have something serious I want to discuss with you."
