Chapter 453: A Swift Conclusion

The explosion of dark energy sent shockwaves through the air, staining everything with a somber gloom. Even so, it could not dim the presence of that existence high above.

Before the demon could even react, a pale-blue figure shot forward like an arrow, sharp fangs snapping shut and biting his body cleanly in two.

He did not even have a chance to resist. At the same moment his body was completely annihilated, Kirin let out a thunderous roar, its massive tail sweeping away the darkness.

Nerio sat atop Kirin’s back, his expression bored. "They actually used something like this to oppose me... how irritating."

Vassago would probably never have imagined that his subordinate would be taken down so quickly.

At this moment, he had already encountered his own opponent.

Silvanus, an unfamiliar face. Yet the power radiating from him was so dense it inspired fear.

Only after facing him head-on did Vassago begin to wonder whether his decision had truly been the right one.

Amon should have been here with him...

However, it was no more than a fleeting thought. The arrogance of a demon did not allow Vassago to entertain any notion of retreat.

His wings beat lightly, instantly stirring up a violent gale. His face, cold like a corpse, stared straight at Silvanus. Without the slightest hesitation, he launched his attack!

His body, which looked as though it were formed from countless layers of robes, suddenly burst apart, causing him to swell to a bizarrely enormous size. At the same time, countless streams of energy shot forth from within, forming innumerable dark rifts that hovered in the air and surrounded Silvanus.

Everything happened at an astonishing speed, almost in the blink of an eye. Countless Vassagos emerged from those rifts. Their hands were all wrapped in darkness, swelling into huge, grotesque shapes with massive, razor-sharp claws. Every swipe sliced through the air. If any of them landed, it would surely cleave a person in two in an instant.

Facing such a direct assault at that speed, Silvanus showed no sign of panic. His wings fluttered lightly, and in the next moment his entire figure vanished from where he stood, as if he had teleported.

But Vassago was no slower. A rift appeared directly behind Silvanus, and the attack narrowly missed severing he at the waist.

Silvanus twisted around and retreated at the same time. In that instant, countless streaks of dark purple lightning suddenly converged and then swept toward the ground. Wherever they passed, everything was instantly reduced to ash, including Vassago’s clones.

Silvanus beat his wings powerfully, summoning a raging gale. In the next moment, he was already hovering high in the air. One of his hands lifted, becoming the center of converging lightning.

His violet eyes seemed to glow. His flawless body was bathed in dark purple light, taking on an aura both mysterious and overwhelming.

"Crackle crackle crackle!"

He suddenly clenched his fist. Immediately after, countless pillars of lightning struck down from above, relentlessly pursuing Vassago’s constantly fleeing figure until all of his clones were reduced to ashes.

"Boom boom boom!"

But it did not end there. The lightning continued its pursuit, converging into a colossal spear formed from unimaginable energy.

Vassago abruptly came to a halt. Then his entire body suddenly spread apart, his form transforming into a massive rift that swallowed the ferocious lightning surging toward him. The pain made him let out a deafening roar, yet it was not the cry of despair.

His pitch-black eyes flew open, and his lips curled into a crazed, pathological smile.

As if sensing something, Silvanus instantly turned around, only to see another rift forming high above. At the very moment he turned, an even more domineering torrent of lightning shot out from within the rift, its power ten times greater than before!

"Boom! Rumble!"

The energy was so overwhelming that it illuminated the entire space. The light was so intense that not a single shadow could exist within it. Vassago’s laughter echoed through the air. "Ha ha ha, ha ha ha. You dream of dealing with me?! You are very strong, but you are far too careless..."

"Crack!"

Before he could finish his words, a flash of lightning streaked past, slicing through his body at an unimaginable speed.

Outside, waves of shocked cries erupted, filled with disbelief and chaos.

Here, Silvanus’s entire body was charred gray by lightning, fresh blood pouring down. Yet it was as if he felt no pain at all.

He lowered his gaze to the pitch-black heart in his hand. Fresh blood surged forth, corroding everything it touched, yet it could not corrode Silvanus.

He clenched his fist without hesitation. Thick black slime splattered everywhere. At the same moment, Vassago’s body collapsed, but before it could even touch the ground, it had already turned into ash, leaving not a single trace behind.

The air in the stands seemed to freeze for a brief moment. Then, a deafening roar erupted.

"Silvanus is victorious! Silvanus is victorious!"

Bael’s cheeks were already puffed out, and a single shout from him made the entire space quake violently.

The army on Amon’s side let out waves of reproachful cries. Meanwhile, the demons who had followed Vassago had already fallen silent, their tails tucked between their legs. Some of them even began to look at Silvanus with unmistakable admiration in their eyes.

One was arrogant. One was truly powerful.

On the other side, the battle between Amon and Cain was also nearing its conclusion.

Amon had now transformed into a colossal flame more than ten meters tall. It was nearly impossible to see where his true body was. The jet-black feathers that flew toward him were instantly reduced to ash.

He laughed loudly, the flames growing ever more violent and scorching. "Today I will burn every last feather off you, Marax!"

A soft chuckle suddenly rang out. In that instant, Amon actually thought Marax was right beside him.

Only then did he realize that, at some point unknown to him, Marax’s figure was no longer there at all.

He quickly looked around, but not to mention Marax, even the others were nowhere to be seen. The stands that had been packed with spectators just moments ago had become strangely empty in an instant.

At this moment, no matter how arrogant Amon was, he could not help but feel fear surge through him.

He roared in fury, "Marax, you coward, get out here for me!"

Just then, a feather gently brushed past him.

Amon jolted in shock and discovered that the feather did not attack him, nor was it burned away by his flames.

Before he could make sense of anything, a colossal shadow descended. It was so immense that it nearly blotted out all light.

Amon looked up in horror, only to find that the figure above was indistinct. Yet it was certain that it could not possibly be Marax’s seductive form. As if realizing something, Amon’s expression instantly turned ugly.

But before he could roar out curses, Cain’s melodious voice rang out.

He slowly chanted ancient words from the book before him.

Amon went mad trying to cover his ears, but it was meaningless. In an instant, he could feel his body beginning to rot. He could feel parts of himself dying one after another while he was almost completely unable to resist.

Cain smiled at Amon. "For you to force me to use this form is already a kind of honor. Now die."

Those outside could only see Amon suddenly go mad, burning himself to death with his own flames.

Although it seemed unreasonable, because Amon’s fire should never harm its own master, Amon was undeniably dead beyond all doubt. Not even a speck of ash remained, just like the fate of those who had once encountered his flames.

At this time, the battle situation in the air had also descended into total chaos.

Nick was locked in combat with Luther, while Asta and Natalia refused to yield even an inch to one another.

It was clear, however, that Nick was gradually falling into a disadvantage.

On this side, Natalia’s wind could not penetrate the diamond walls. Yet the sheer amount of diamond Asta was using was excessive. His face had already begun to turn pale. Of course, Natalia herself was not in much better condition either.

The difference was that Bael’s army had already been completely wiped out. Now, the armies of Amon and Vassago began to join forces, supporting Luther and Natalia as they attacked Asta and Nick. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Until the very last moment, they would continue to fight with the utmost ferocity, for the honor of a demon.
