Becoming Secret Nanny for Possessive CEO-Chapter 188: Meaningful Stargazing
Edith and Callum were still enjoying the night sky with their twins before bed. Their twins were busy counting the stars, making Edith laugh softly as she whispered to her fiancé. She hadn’t meant to tease them, but what they were doing was so reminiscent of her own childhood.
Hearing his fiancée’s whisper, Callum chuckled, pinching her soft cheek. "Honey, I’m actually just like you. When I was little, whenever I couldn’t sleep, I’d always count the stars before going to bed."
"Really? Does that mean our habits are inherited by our children?"
Erdin and Eliana immediately turned around to look at their parents who had been busy chatting.
"Do mom and dad like counting stars too?" Erdin asked, blinking his eyes.
Callum nodded. "Yeah, it’s become my habit before bed."
Edith laughed softly as well, putting her arm around her fiancé’s shoulders affectionately. "You two are so much like us, always counting the stars before bed."
"Does that mean mom and dad can know how many stars there are in the sky now?" Eliana asked, looking at her parents innocently.
Callum immediately picked up his little girl. "Actually, I wanted to tell you something more special than the number of stars."
"What is it, Dad?"
Callum pointed to a large star that shone the brightest of all the stars. "Do you know what star that is?"
Erdin immediately raised his right hand. "I know, that star must be mommy."
Her cheeks immediately flushed red at her son’s words. "Erdin, how did you know that star was me?"
"Because Dad often told me stories before bed. He always said that the biggest, brightest star in the sky was Mom."
Eliana folded her arms. "No! That big star is actually daddy!"
Callum laughed awkwardly, looking at his little daughter, who, as usual, wouldn’t lose the argument. "Did your mom say that?"
"Mom used to have sleepless nights. Every clear day, she’d take me to look at the stars. She’d always say she missed Dad so much. Every time she misses Dad, she’d always think of the big star as Dad."
Now it was Callum’s turn to stare in awe at his fiancée’s beautiful face, which shone even brighter in the night. For a moment, he pressed his lips to her soft cheek.
"Thank you for considering me as a star in your life."
Edith also kissed her fiancé on the cheek. "Thank you too for missing me all this time, even thinking of the stars as me."
Their gazes returned to the stars in the sky. Callum’s focus, in particular, was on four stars gathered in a single spot.
"There are four shining stars in the sky. Look, there are two twin stars too."
Erdin and Eliana stared at the twin stars twinkling.
"Are those twin stars us?"
Callum smiled brightly, kissing his twins’ cheeks happily. "Of course. Now those stars have a lovely family, just like us."
Eliana pointed to another large star that was shining brightly. "Dad, there’s another big star!"
"Now you two don’t have to fight anymore. Each of you gets a star." His gaze deepened as he stared at his fiancée’s beautiful face. "Even though your mother is always by my side now, she will always be my star."
Edith grew even more excited at her fiancé’s sweet words. If this conversation continued, she would keep him from entering the dream world until she was satisfied with the conversation.
After putting her twins to bed, Edith still wanted to see the four stars clearly visible in the sky from the balcony. Even though the air was getting colder, she continued to stare at them until she fell asleep. Instantly, her body felt warm from her fiancé’s loving embrace.
"Do you still want to look at the stars?" Callum asked gently.
"I still can’t get enough of seeing Callum and his twins in the sky."
"So, what about Edith in the sky?" Callum kissed the crook of his fiancée’s neck deeply. "Edith in the sky is also very beautiful and keeps me company every night."
"I couldn’t sleep listening to your sweet talk earlier."
"I want our little family to always shine and be harmonious like the stars in the sky."
Edith laughed awkwardly, resting her head on his broad shoulder. "This afternoon you used a pair of swans as a metaphor for our relationship. Now you’re using the stars as a metaphor for our family."
"Because I feel like the universe really blesses our relationship and supports our little family to be even more beautiful."
Her lips landed on his sexy ones. "You also have to promise not to act stupid again."
"Shouldn’t you be the one who should promise me? All this time, you’ve been the one who’s been trying to run away from me."
"Don’t worry, I won’t run away again because I have no purpose anymore."
"I’ve never had a goal either. That’s why I never ran away from you. I just kept chasing you."
"I really like how you’ve been chasing me all along, never giving up. Seeing you like this makes me even more reluctant to leave you."

Five days later...
Wedding preparations are in full swing. After their pre-wedding photoshoot, Edith and Callum will now have a fitting for the outfits they will wear on their wedding day. Edith and Callum submitted their sketches long ago so the designer can prepare their wedding attire without rushing them.
Callum looked stunning in his white suit. He was increasingly impatient as his fiancée, who was still changing behind the large curtain, assisted by Renata and Arabella. Usually, men would play on their phones while waiting for their brides to finish dressing. However, Callum was different. He kept staring at the large curtain, not wanting to miss the important moment when his fiancée would wear their specially designed wedding gown for the first time.
As the large curtain slowly opened, Callum immediately sat upright. His eyes sparkled as he gazed at his fiancée’s radiant beauty, like an angel. Her curvaceous body was clad in a ballgown-style wedding gown studded with beads and small diamonds. His jaw was so stiff he couldn’t speak.
