Edith nearly screamed in the bathroom as she stared at the pregnancy test, which showed two red lines. Her eyes welled with tears as she stared at the results, finally bringing good news to her beloved husband. Now she no longer needed to be anxious; instead, she couldn’t wait to tell him.

As she stepped out of the bathroom, she was surprised by her husband waiting outside. Her heart nearly skipped a beat and she hiccuped. Her right hand, which was holding the pregnancy test, hid behind her back.

"Honey, how long have you been standing outside the bathroom?" she asked shakily.

Callum lifted his head to face his wife. "This is what I really want to ask. What are you hiding from me?"

Her head hung low in shame. "Actually, I’ve been feeling nauseous in the morning lately."

"I know."

She immediately lifted her head. "So, you knew all along?"

"Of course. I’ve been watching you secretly all this time. I knew you’d act like this when you were pregnant with our twins." A weak sigh escaped his lips. "If you were feeling unwell, you should have told me. You haven’t had your period lately, either."

Finally, Edith showed her husband the pregnancy test. He stared at it with sparkling eyes and then enthusiastically cradled her curvy body.

"Honey, I suspected it from the start. There’s no way you’re infertile."

Edith smiled happily, wrapping her arms around his neck tightly. "That’s what I thought, too, when we were talking on the beach. I believed I wouldn’t be infertile."

"So, that’s why you don’t mind us doing it every day during honeymoon?"

Her head nodded. "Actually, I still want to have another child. Especially since I want to spend my pregnancy with you more peacefully than before. I am so happy that we can finally make our long-cherished wish come true."

Callum kissed his wife deeply on the lips. Still holding her curvy body, he circled the room, placing the pregnancy test on the bedside table. His right hand slowly traced her curvy back. Meanwhile, his wife’s gentle caress of her neck gradually fueled his desire to kiss her longer to vent his happiness.

So addicted to kissing, they were now unconsciously lying on the bed, tightly embraced. Edith was increasingly impatient for her third child to accompany her twins to play. "So soon?" She laughed happily, patting her husband’s arm. "I just told you."

"Because I really like the special gift you gave me today."

Edith rolled her eyes. "How did you know about the special gift I mentioned on my honeymoon?"

"Actually, it’s pretty easy to guess, because I’ve always wanted another child. Because I kept bringing it up, you kept fighting to give me that gift. Actually I know every time we do it, you are very enthusiastic."

"Finally, our wish came true quickly." She buried her head in her husband’s chest. "Thank you, darling."

"Why are you thanking me all of a sudden? Shouldn’t I be the one thanking you?"

"Because if you hadn’t fought with me to have a child, I definitely wouldn’t be pregnant now."

Callum laughed softly, patting his wife’s back rhythmically. "I really liked the special gift you gave me today. This time, I really have to take good care of it."

"By the way, do we have to tell the kids so soon?"

"We will inform you after we get the ultrasound results at the hospital."

Before leaving for the hospital, Callum and Edith were busy cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Although Callum wouldn’t allow his wife to engage in any strenuous activity, he couldn’t stop her. Remembering his wife’s stubbornness during her pregnancy five years earlier, he immediately complied with her wishes rather than argue again.

"Why should I scold you? I’m actually tired of arguing with you."

"Really? Are you really going to keep your promise?"

"Moreover, I promised to take you and our twins on another vacation abroad. This time, I want to celebrate Christmas and New Year with you in a place even more beautiful than the Maldives."

After breakfast, Callum took Edith straight to the hospital. Erdin and Eliana were genuinely confused by their mother’s current condition. Furthermore, they were taken to an examination room, where their father instructed them to stare at an LCD screen displaying the fetus in Edith’s womb.

"Can you see anything on the screen?"

Erdin and Eliana nodded.

Callum stroked his twins’ heads, putting his arm around their shoulders. "You’re going to have another friend."

Their eyes widened as they stared at their mother lying on the bed. "Really, Mom?"

Edith couldn’t hold back the tears of joy that streamed down her cheeks. "Yes, you’ll have a playmate. Now you won’t be lonely anymore."

"Hurray!" Eliana cheered, jumping up and down.

Callum also cried with emotion as he looked at his happy twins, preparing to welcome their little brother or sister. "Since your mother is pregnant, you shouldn’t be bothering her. Pregnant women shouldn’t work themselves to the point of exhaustion."

Erdin and Eliana nodded in unison. "We won’t be naughty for mom’s sake."

Edith looked at her twins, who were holding her left hand, her heart fluttering. "I won’t scold you if you’re naughty. I’m truly blessed to have such adorable children."

Callum hugged his wife and twins while staring at the LCD screen. "I’m so happy to have you in my life. Soon our baby will be here too."
