Chapter 273: Undiscovered Elements. Mr Chen!

The chaos element? Alex had never heard of the chaos element; he thought that there were only three rare elements, which were the space element, the summoning element, and the shadow element.

But now, he just learned from the all-knowing mask that the chaos element was one of the rare five elements, which meant that there was still one more that he didn’t know!

But more importantly...Emily just awakened two elements, and in front of so many people at that!

Alex’s eyes instantly narrowed as he withdrew his mask and gazed at the faces of all the people present. Except for his parents and Alicia, he was thinking about whether he needed to take care of the others just to make sure that Emily’s secret didn’t go out.

But at that moment, a loud crack sounded in Alex’s ears, followed by an anguished scream from Emily.

Alex "..."

The scream from Emily startled him; she sounded like she was in a serious state of pain. Just a glance, and Alex instantly discovered the reason: it was her soul sea!

His senses as a Saint rank mage easily discovered the newly formed soul sea within Emily after she awakened her elements.

Her small soul sea, which was barely as large as a room, was currently cramped with the stars of the two elements that she had awakened, and since there wasn’t enough space for all of them to fit, her soul sea had broken under the pressure.

The mana within her soul sea had instantly started to leak out and this had caused Emily to let out the earlier scream.

A pain in one’s soul sea was worse than a pain in one’s heart.

Their parents and the others present also panicked when they heard Emily’s scream and felt the mana rushing out of her body, something was definitely wrong.

But before any of them could react, Alex rushed toward Emily and grabbed her hand, forcefully pulling her away from the awakening stone.

The girl had passed out after the earlier scream and her body fell weakly into Alex’s arms. He proceeded to place one of his hands over her body and poured some of his mana into her while his other hand held her.

Alex controlled his mana, which he had sent into Emily’s body toward her soul sea, and forcefully held it together and calmed the stars, stopping any further damage almost instantly.

His reaction surprised Mia and Emily’s principal; they noticed that mana was no longer leaking out of Emily uncontrollably, and she was no longer in danger, as her expression had relaxed, even though she was unconscious.

They felt ashamed of themselves, they had frozen in shock and a Core rank mage had reacted before them.

Then, everyone gathered around the siblings to see Emily’s condition.

"How is she?" Freda asked, she was extremely worried and her eyes were already teary.

Emily’s scream just now had almost made her burst into tears. Zoran still looked calm but he wasn’t able to hide the deep concern in his eyes.

"She’s fine for now; it seems like something happened to her new soul sea, but I’ve used my mana to stabilise her," Alex said, mustering a small smile to stop his parents from worrying.

"Let me take a look at her," the principal of Emily’s school said and moved closer. He touched Emily’s head and sent some of his mana into her body.

Alex didn’t stop him and everyone else watched with nervous expressions as they waited for the old man’s feedback.

Meanwhile, the principal controlled his mana into Emily’s body and soon found her soul sea that had just formed after a while.

He first noticed that the soul sea was slightly bigger than a normal soul sea, and then noticed that it was broken, five colourless stars drifted inside the broken soul sea.

’Well, different people have different sizes of soul sea upon awakening, but now I’ve confirmed that she only awakened a single element,’ the principal thought to himself.

Next, he noticed Alex’s mana, which was currently holding Emily’s soul sea together and he couldn’t help but be shocked at Alex’s amazing control over his mana.

He wouldn’t dare to say that he could have controlled his mana fast enough as Alex had done, Emily’s soul sea would definitely have suffered more damage before he could have stopped it.

’This kid, his control over his mana is simply terrifying!’ The principal thought to himself as he withdrew his mana from Emily’s soul sea.

The older brother was a genius at controlling mana, it wasn’t a surprise that Mr Chen had noticed the talent of the little sister before she even awakened; the two children of this family were geniuses!

Although, it was sad that one had suffered great damage just after awakening.

"How is the situation?" Mia asked immediately after the principal finished withdrawing his mana.

The old man sighed and shook his head before saying.

"For some reason, her soul sea has shattered but he reacted quickly enough and stopped the damage from becoming too big."

"Her soul sea shattered?!" Mia asked, her eyes widened in shock.

The other members of the Rising Wave group were also in the same state. As mages, they perfectly understood how grave the news was; they couldn’t help but feel sorry for Emily.

"Her soul sea shattered? How serious is that? Can it be fixed?" Zoran asked, his tone falling between hope and despair.

He wasn’t a mage but had heard of such words before; he just didn’t know how serious it was. Freda was in the same boat.

Mia, the principal, and all the other mages fell silent. They didn’t know how to break the news to the couple.

At this moment, Alex spoke up and handed Emily to Alicia. He said that he would be right back before rushing upstairs.

"Alex, hold on!" Mia called after him but Alex didn’t stop and quickly disappeared through a nearby door.

The expressions of all the mages present turned even uglier. They guessed that Alex was aware of his sister’s situation better than their parents since he was a mage and had gone to his room to cry.

"Let the boy be, he has done more than enough by preventing further damage." The principal said, his words stopped Simon and the others who were about to follow Alex.

"What’s going on here?"

At this moment, a calm voice sounded from the side, startling everyone.

They looked and saw a figure in a long black robe and a white mask who had suddenly appeared in the room without anyone noticing.

It was Mr Chen!

"Mr Chen, when did you come?!" The principal asked in pleasant surprise after seeing Mr Chen.

He knew that Mr Chen wanted to take Emily as his student and for some reason, he felt that Mr Chen would definitely be able to do something about the situation.

Mia and the members of the Rising Wave group also had similar thoughts and were extremely glad to see Mr Chen.

"Mr Chen, I didn’t expect you to come to our home," Zoran said with a sad smile before explaining what had happened and what they had learned to Mr Chen.

Mr Chen was their family’s benefactor so he didn’t think there was any reason to hide this from him. Besides, if there was anyone who could do anything about it, it was Mr Chen!
