Beneath the Red Dragon-Chapter 204 - 79: Novice Druid (Part 2)
The location of the camp was somewhat desolate, with very few trees growing, much like a rare sandy area in the forest.
But in the distant forest, dozens or hundreds of different types of trees grew, each adorned with dew dripping from their branches.
Karon stepped into the forest, extending his claws from his palm, lightly slicing a nearby tree. A stream of luminous green sap oozed from the cut on the tree trunk.
But immediately, under Karon's keen observation, akin to a precision instrument, he noticed that the bark around the cut on the tree was already beginning to heal slowly, and the sap secreted by the tree trunk was promoting the healing speed.
"Hmm, the trees here have a density far exceeding ordinary trees, it might be just a single species. I need to test other types of trees,"
Karon swung his claws again towards other trees, with similar results. Without exception, these trees had a density and healing speed far exceeding those ordinary trees in the Icaria World.
"It seems that although the power limit in this plane is low, the life force of all living things born here is quite considerable, the life force generally exceeds that of ordinary beasts in the Icaria World,"
After walking out of the camp for tens of miles, Karon had already caught a dozen different animals and conducted simple experiments on these beasts.
Now, under his feet was a jungle leopard, whose wounds inflicted by Dragon Claw were almost healed, leaving only faint red marks on its wild and beautiful fur.
Karon released the leopard, having always had a liking for these beautiful cats, and since he wasn't hungry now, he let the beautiful leopard leap into the depths of the jungle with agile steps.
The beautiful big cat curiously glanced back at Karon, who appeared quite strange in her eyes, as if wondering why this powerful predator would let her go.
Karon didn't pay attention, having already discovered the strange qualities of this plane. Not only did the plants grow quickly, but the life force of those ordinary beasts was also far exceptional.
The nourishment of the Tree of Life alone would hardly reach such a degree, since there weren't any Trees of Life growing within Karon's sensing range, proving that this region wasn't within their direct influence.
"Interesting, is this the fun in exploration and adventure," Karon became intrigued by the entity behind all these effects, sparking a sense of exploration.
Karon didn't feel that this plane had any severe impact or suppression on him, at most the Red Dragon's Flame Magic and Breath were slightly weakened in this damp and cold environment.
But this didn't weaken the Red Dragon's strength by much, which was the source of his confidence.
Even in Karon's Dragon Descendant form, not to mention his physical qualities, his magic spellcasting ability alone was much more formidable than that of High Tier Mages, and the power of their spells was incomparable to the Red Dragon's Magic.
With Karon's current control of Magic Power and Elements, his Magic spells were akin to receiving dual enhancements of potency and precision, making them precise and powerful.
Karon traversed the forest, having long since passed the defensive line made up of the Dogman Soldiers stationed as explorers and sentries, heading nearly a hundred miles southwest of the camp.
A somewhat fishy stench caused the Red Dragon to halt his steps. He looked forward to see a seven-meter-long snake-lizard-like Magical Beast emerging from the dense woods.
It clung tightly to the low hill with four clawed feet, and a faint mist emanated from the densely packed black scales on its body. Its beastly eyes were filled with the cruelty of a predator, staring fixedly at Karon.
Apparently, the snake-lizard-like Magical Beast had deemed the Red Dragon as its prey.
The Red Dragon was slightly surprised, then realized that he had tightly restrained all his aura and Magic Energy within himself, appearing only as a tall, ordinary monster to these beasts.
If this ability to conceal aura and energy was combined with some Shadow Stealth Magic, Karon could completely become a terrifying Red Dragon Assassin.
In Karon's inherited knowledge, there were precedents of Red Dragons becoming assassins. Imagine a Red Dragon stealthily approaching you, then suddenly erupting, the terror would be comparable to the fear of a Legendary Warrior being in close range.
Karon shook his head, as his time was nearly infinite, but his energy was limited, and it wasn't feasible to study Shadow Magic further; just understanding it in the future would suffice.
He looked at the snake-lizard Magical Beast, which was flicking its forked tongue, trying to gather information about the red monster before it.
But the monster before it was like a stone on the ground, a tree in the forest, yielding no information, only capturing a faint scent, a whiff of sulfur.
The slightly intelligent snake-lizard Magical Beast suddenly raised its lizard-like, yet horned, head, hesitated for a moment, then, sensing something amiss, turned around and flicked its long tail, attempting to flee.
Karon leisurely took out a Gold Coin from under his Scale Armor, but after a moment's thought, he put it back and retrieved a Copper Coin.
This Copper Coin spun around Karon's fingertips, and driven by Karon's Magic Power, it flew towards the fleeing Unicorne Snake Lizard with a piercing whistle, instantly catching up with the Unicorne Snake Lizard sprinting on all fours.
