Chapter 1289: Chapter 1289: The Drunkard Awakens

"Call back to Jun Family, and ask if Jun Wuchen has returned."

"Alright."

White Yi called Jun Family again, learned Jun Wuchen still had no news.

To this day, they weren’t clear how many people were missing, nor how many had returned.

Ais was with Jun Moyan during that time, yet now he’s vanished too.

Whether he’s missing, or has returned, is unknown.

They suspect Baiming Sect is behind it, but Bai Family and Jun Family pressed them without getting an answer.

In recent days, Jun Moyan and Xiaohan’s disappearance, along with company matters, left Qing Yi utterly exhausted. Spending long periods in intense tension and worry had left him visibly thinner, haggard.

White Yi went to the company, while Qing Yi temporarily stayed at the hospital.

Unable to handle everything, they could temporarily only entrust the task of finding Jun Moyan to subordinates still in Holy City.

The hotel where Jun Moyan, Xiaohan, and their group last stayed has been sealed off.

Yet they still haven’t found a single clue.

Qing Yi crouched by the bedside, his hands holding Xiaohan’s hand, his forehead resting on the back of his own hand, drowsy.

Someone patted his shoulder, startling Qing Yi awake.

He looked up to see it was White Yi.

"Eat a little something first."

White Yi gestured at the things in his hand.

Qing Yi shook his head, weakly said, "No need, I have no appetite."

"Even if you have no appetite you still need to eat, Third Young Master, Xiaohan, and the company all need you. Now you’re the one holding everything together. If you collapse, I... trust me, I’d vanish too."

Qing Yi glanced at Xiaohan, was silent for a moment, and finally let him go.

Carefully tucked Xiaohan’s hand under the quilt, and as he was about to stand, perhaps from crouching too long, a wave of dizziness hit as he stood, nearly causing him to fall.

Thankfully, White Yi’s quick reflexes caught him just in time.

"Look at you, you can’t even stand steadily, yet you’re pushing yourself."

White Yi said, helping Qing Yi to sit down in a chair.

While nagging, he began unpacking the food he’d brought.

"Here."

He handed the chopsticks to Qing Yi.

Qing Yi, however, showed no reaction, his red-rimmed eyes just staring at Xiaohan on the hospital bed.

His phone rang in his pocket.

White Yi quickly took it out.

"It’s Hong Yi calling."

Both were overjoyed, thinking Bai Tang must have awakened.

They connected the call.

Sure enough.

However...

"His mental clarity isn’t very good. I asked him about his disappearance, but he remembers nothing about it, not even knowing it ever happened."

"The doctor just examined him. Physically, he’s perfectly fine, everything’s normal, but he can’t remember anything about his disappearance."

Can’t recall, can’t provide any useful information.

"How about over there? How’s Xiaohan? Has he woken up? Is his condition the same as Bai Tang’s?" Hong Yi asked.

White Yi looked at Qing Yi, who remained motionless in his chair, just staring at Xiaohan, and replied, "Xiaohan hasn’t woken up yet."

After hanging up, despite White Yi’s urging, Qing Yi refused to eat a single bite.

A painful groan suddenly sounded.

Both turned to look at Xiaohan.

"Xiaohan?"

Qing Yi got up excitedly, returning to the bedside, gripping Xiaohan’s hand again.

Seeing signs of Xiaohan waking, Qing Yi became overjoyed and at a loss for what to do.

"...Xiaohan?"

He gently called him, careful not to speak too loudly, afraid of startling him.

Under their anxious and eager gazes, Xiaohan slowly opened his eyes, finally waking up.
