Ariel was sitting opposite Aiden, who was sitting beside Jace at the table in a restaurant.

He was feeding the boy, and Jace was being his obedient self, eating whatever Aiden fed him.

Logan was beside her, putting food on her plate, "Eat, it's not as good as mine but it'll pass," He whispered, but he made sure Aiden heard it.

He wanted to rub it in Aiden's face that she was closer to Ariel than whatever they might have had in the past.

He was with her now, he was her present while Audrn was the past.

He would make sure to make Aiden realize that he lost a treasure when he let Ariel slip through his fingers.

Ariel chuckled, "You've not even tasted it, how do you know it's not good?" She questioned.

Logan shrugged, "Let's ask who has, then," He looked at Jace, munching away his food, and smiled.

The boy really has his mother's personality, so carefree and kind.

"Hey, buddy, tell your mom, does this food taste better than mine?" Logan asked, smiling at Jace.

Jace paused, he finished chewing the food in his mouth before he replied, "It's okay, right, Aiden?" Jace turned to Aiden, waiting for his reply.

Aiden nodded slowly, "It is, little man, it was prepared by the best chef," He informed.

Jace nodded with a thoughtful smile, "Okay...it's okay, then, but Logan's food tastes way better, that why mummy always lets him mane food for us at the sea and at-"

"Jace, darling, don't speak while eating; remember your table manners," Ariel interrupted the kid who was about to tell Aiden information about them for free.

Jace pursed his lips and turned to Aiden, "Feed me," He whispered.

Logan saw the shift in Aiden's eyes when Hace mentioned that he had cooked for them; he liked it; he was slowly marking his territory.

Ariel noticed it too; Aiden looked as if he wanted to push his fork into Logan's eyes, and she almost scoffed at him if Jace wasn't there with them.

She looked beside them and saw Ken and Hideon peacefully eating and chatting. She wished she could join their table, but Jace had specifically asked for her to sit with him.

She was impatiently tapping her feet on the floor waiting for Jace to finish up his food so she could take him and leave.

Aiden noticed the uncomfortable look on Ariel and subtly pinned his eyes on her. Out of habit, he was about to ask her what the problem was, but Logan beat him to it.

"Hey, are you alright?" Logan whispered.

Ariel sighed, shaking her head, "I just want to go home already," She touched the bridge of her nose, drumming her fingers on the table.

Logan smiled and placed his hand over hers on the table, "Don't worry, Jace is almost done, we'll be home in no time, okay?" He asked in a soothing voice.

Ariel slowly nodded, "Okay,"

Aiden was boiling; his eyes were locked on Logan's fingers that were now slowly tracing Ariel's; whoever this Logan was had no shame or fear; he was boldly flirting with Ariel in front of him.

Aiden knew what Logan was trying to do, and it only annoyed him more than Ariel let him.

He had heard Logan calling Ariel's home, too. Does it mean he lives with them?

His heart was heavy when he thought about that.

If Logan lived with them, then it meant he was really dating Ariel, and he shared her bed with her.

He felt like someone drove a fork into his heart when he thought of how Logan's stupid hands would touch Ariel's body just the way he used to touch her years ago; he was fuming.

The fact that Ariel hasn't signed the divorce papers, then she shouldn't be letting any other man touch her; it was cheating.

"No, I'm full; I want to drink that," Jace said, pointing over at the wine infringement of Aiden.

Aiden's hand hung in the air at Jace's words, and they gently lowered the fork back to the plate.

"How about you drink this instead? It's way better than this; this is so bitter," Aiden poured some apple juice into Jace's glass.

Jace scrunched his face, "Bitter? No, I don't like bitter," He replied and took the apple juice from Aiden.

Ariel saw their interaction and smiled. She knew Aiden's drink had a small percentage of alcohol, so she was grateful he knew how to deal with Jace.

Aiden caught Ariel smiling at him and felt his heart shudder, he froze and stared at her beautiful face. He never thought he'd see that dazzling smile again, he wished he could just erase the past three years and go back to where they have left.

He would have his loving wife back, and he would make Moon disappear from their lives.

He suddenly heard Ariel clear her throat and remove her eyes from him.

"Are you ready to leave, baby?" She asked Jace.

Jace nodded, stretching his little hands above his head.

It was already evening, so Ariel knew he'd be tired; he needed to sleep.

"I got him," Logan stood before Ariel and carried the boy away from Aiden's side; this time, Jace didn't complain.

Aiden sat still, his eyes hovering over Jace; he looked at Logan coldly as he stood from his chair, "You'll do well to drive safely," He warned Logan.

Logan chuckled, "Don't worry, Mr. Chaz, these two are the most important people in my life," He replied with a smirk.

Aiden narrowed his eyes at Logan, then he turned to look at Ariel, "Goodbye, Jace. See you soon," He said while looking at Ariel.

Jace was already half-asleep in Logan's arms, so he didn't respond.

Ariel went over to Logan and touched his arm, "Let's go home," She said in a gentle voice.

They walked passed Aiden, and Gideon stood the moment he saw them leaving.

"Goodbye, Ken," Gideon walked waved to Ken before walking out of the restaurant with Ariel and Logan.

"So..." Jen went over to Aiden and placed a hand on his shoulder, "I don't think anyone's signing any paper soon right?" He asked in a dreamy voice beside Aiden.

Aiden glared at Ken and pushed him away from him, "Get off me," He warned before walking out of the restaurant.

He saw Ariel's car driving away from the restaurant, and his mind went running yet again with different thoughts of what Logan and Ariel would do when they got home, alone.

"What do you want to do?" Ken asked behind him.

Aiden didn't even bother looking back, he simply walked away and went to his car.

Ariel's car was parked in front of the apartment, and Logan helped her out; Gideon was the driver while Logan carried the sleeping boy into the apartment.

"Are you sure you don't want me to stay over? You seem like you can use some company tonight, and don't worry, I don't charge; feel free to offload all your worries on me; I'm a good listener," Logan said as Ariel walked him down the stairs.

Ariel smiled, "I appreciate your concern, Logan, really..." She paused in front of the door.

She looked up at his face and gave him a warm smile.

"Thank you for today," She chuckled, "I know you've figured Aiden is the reason I need you, and I know you must feel like I'm hiding things from you, I'm not..." She sighed.

Logan held her hand and shook his head slowly, "Well, you're right about me figuring out, but hiding things from me? Nah, I believe you'll tell me when you're ready, I understand," He replied gently.

Ariel bit her lips and suddenly thought about something, "Well, I'll just tell you the most important part: Aiden and I are married; we're in the process of a divorce. I'll fill you in with other details when the time is right," She informed seriously.

Logan was quiet for a while, "Oh, well, you got me; I thought maybe he was an ex, never thought about...husband, wow. So, is what we're doing okay?" He asked, looking a little confused.

Ariel chuckled, "What are we doing? Relax, Logan, even if I chose to date you for real, he wouldn't have a say; the divorce is mutual. Don't worry, you're not hitting on someone's beloved wife," She winked at him.

Logan sighed in relief, "That's a relief," He whispered.

Ariel laughed and opened the door, "I'll see you later then?" She asked, standing outside her door.

Logan smiled, "Definitely, princess," He walked toward her and leaned his face down to hers, "His loss," He whispered.

Ariel smiled; he turned her face and kissed his cheek, "Goodnight, friend," She chuckled.

Logan made a hurt face, "Baby steps, Logan, baby steps," He consoled himself.

Ariel rolled her eyes, and playfully punched his shoulder, "Go already," She muttered.

Logan sighed, "Fine, see you soon, princess," He winked at her before heading to the elevator.

Ariel walked back and shut her door, leaning her back on it and releasing a long sigh.

Logan has really been of great help; at least she was sure that Aiden was keeping his distance from her because he believed that she was together with Logan.

Her mind went back to the restroom at the farm, and her heart immediately raced; she couldn't believe she'd let herself get lost in those stupid blue eyes; they were the eyes of a deceiver...

Ariel suddenly felt the door vibrate behind her from a gentle knock.

She smiled and leaned away from the door.

Logan really wanted to sleep over at her place.

She couldn't help chuckling as she opened her door, "You want to sleep with - Aiden?" Her eyes widened in shock and her knees almost gave out in shock.

Her heart? That was already running a marathon.

She couldn't believe her eyes, he was standing in front of her door with all his cold and arrogant aura, looking heatedly at her.

"Hello, little wife," Aiden smirked.
