Billionaire's Contracted & Unloved Wife-Chapter 174
Eva had a white bathrobe on, a cup of coffee in her hands, and was slowly walking back and forth in her living room when she heard a knock on her door.
She paused and frowned; she never had visitors. Never.
Who could it be at the door?
For a second, she got scared. What if it were Hugo? Or some other men Moon had sent to kill her.
Her hands were shaking, and she quickly thought of Gregory; what a serious mistake of not having his number; who was she supposed to call now?
Calling Ariel would just be stupid; that would be endangering her, too; she didn't want to do that.
She took a deep breath and started walking toward her door.
The knock came again, causing her heart to skip a beat. She slowly raised her hand to the door and gulped quietly before she opened it and peeked her face out.
Eva gasped when she saw the person on the other side of the door, it was the last person she ever thought she'd see in front of her house.
"Gregory?" She called in surprise.
"There she is; your girlfriend is very pretty; treat her right," A short lady appeared from behind Gregory and waved to Eva before walking away.
Eva frowned; she knew that woman; it was the cheerful lady who always greeted her every time she saw her in the hallway downstairs.
However, how did she come to conclude that she was Gregory's girlfriend?
"Hi, Ms. Eva," Gregory stepped forward.
Eva blinked and looked up at his face; he was so tall, and shaving all his hair from his head made him all the more threatening to look at.
"Mr. Gregory, what are you doing here?" She questioned, raising a brow at him.
She needed to know the matters that brought him to her house before she even thought of letting her in.
Gregory forced his eyes to remain on her face. The first he noticed was how short her bathrobe was.
He never expected to meet her that way, it was...kind of disturbing.
"Can I come in, please?" Gregory asked politely.
Eva frowned, she stared at him for a while before she released a breath and moved away from the door.
"Thank you," Gregory nodded at her as he walked into her house.
Eva shut her door and turned to look at the tall man in her living room.
"You can sit down, Mr. Gregory," She walked past him and placed her coffee on the small table beside her couch.
Gregory nodded once again and lowered himself to the couch. "Um, I know you're wondering why I'm here," He said, looking at her face.
Eva nodded, "Absolutely. If you want me to go with you to see Hugo again, I'm afraid I can't, I-"
"No, it's not it...but we are meeting someone, just not Hugo," He informed.
"No, count me out, I'm not doing more risky stuff with you," She turned away from him.
"But you said you'd be ready to help out whenever you're needed," He pointed out calmly.
Eva shrugged her shoulders, "Yes, but I meant just providing information, and I've pretty much told you everything. I didn't mean you could come and drag me along with you on some dangerous mission," She scoffed.
Gregory stood, took a deep breath, and moved to stand behind her. He gently held her hand, making her to turn her head to him.
"What are you doing?" Eva questioned.
"I...you see, I really need your help...you're the only one who could get us what we want from her," He reasoned.
Eva frowned and turned to face him. "Who is 'Us?' And 'We?' What are you talking about?" She tilted her head back to look at him.
Gregory sighed, "Can you get dressed first, I'm not used to this," He awkwardly pointed to Eva's chest.
Eva frowned and looked down at where Gregory was pointing, "Oh," She was surprised to see that one side of her robe had slipped to the side, exposing her cleavage.
She removed her hand from Gregory's and stepped back, "I'll be right back," She muttered and ran toward a door by the left side of the living room.
Gregory cleared his throat and went back to sit on one couch.
After a few minutes of looking around, Eva emerged from the door, dressed in a black button, long-sleeved shirt, and blue skinny jeans.

He thought she looked stunning in them. He removed his eyes as she walked towards him, "So, where are we? What were you talking about?" Eva asked, standing in front of Gregory.
Gregory found her stance funny, she was standing in front of him as if she was trying to intimidate him into saying the truth.
"It's your sister, she needs your help," He informed, hoping the use of the term 'sister' would make Eva willing.
It did.
"What? Ariel? Why didn't you say so from the beginning?" She suddenly plopped down beside him and leaned close with piqued interest.
"Go on, I'm listening," Eva said.
Gregory swallowed hard. The couch was small, and he could feel Eva's thighs rubbing the side of his own; he didn't know why, but he always felt flustered whenever she was close to him, like body-to-body close.
"Yeah, she asked me to drive you to Moon and-"
"To Moon?" Eva blinked rapidly, staring at Gregory's face.
Gregory nodded, "Yes, you just have to-"
"Moon doesn't even know I'm alive!" Eva shook her head.
Gregory nodded, "That's one of the reasons she wants you to meet Moon. She just wants her to lose her composure when she sees you. You and I know how she gets when she is anxious. Ariel needs that information Moon would spew as evidence..." He slowly turned to her and held her hand, "Do you understand, Ms. Eva?" He asked gently.
Eva looked up at his face again and slowly nodded, "Um...yeah, but, what if she tries to set me up with those guys again?"
Gregory shook his head, "She wouldn't, we're meeting her at her home. Her child is there too. But, even if she tries to, I'll be right there with you to protect you, alright?" His voice was softer than usual as he spoke.
Eva was lost for a moment as she stared into his eyes; his assuring words made her emotional. No one had ever said they'd be there for her during her hard times, not even her parents. Hearing it from Gregory unlocked something in her; she believed him; he had said it with so much sincerity in his voice and eyes.
They didn't realize they'd been staring at each other for a few seconds, sitting too close on the couch made their faces effortlessly close. Gregory saw Eva licking her lips and realized that the simple act was very distracting.
"I'll do it," Eva suddenly announced.
Gregory broke his eyes away from her lips.
"You will?" He asked.
Eva nodded, "Yes, let's go. But, how are we going to record what she says?" She looked at him curiously.
Gregory nodded and stood from the couch, "Could you stand, please?" He requested, taking out a small black recorder from his pocket.
Eva stood and stared at the object in his hand, "I have to wear it? Wouldn't she find out?" She frowned.
Gregory shook his head, "Not if we find somewhere hidden to clip it," He suggested.
Eva was in thought, she was trying to think of where she could wear the recorder and it wouldn't be seen.
Her jeans were out of the question because they were blue and tight; Moon's suspicion would already be high the moment she saw her, which meant that her eyes would be checking Eva's body every second.
Her shirt was also out of the question, too because it could easily be detected or might even fall off if she moved around a lot.
Eva suddenly smiled, coming to a sudden conclusion, "My bra," She announced.
"Huh?" Gregory furrowed his brows, staring down at Eva in confusion.
What did she mean?
Eva sighed, "Come on, I mean the recorder, fix it on my bra, no one would see it from there," She pointed to her chest.
Gregory could feel his cheek getting hot; why was Eva so spontaneous? He couldn't keep up with the things she did or said most of the time.
"Are you sure?" He asked cautiously.
Eva nodded, "Yes. Come on," She urged.
Gregory nodded and moved closer to her, he raised his hands to her buttoned shirt and started to unbutton her first three buttons since she had buttoned them up to her collar.
It was at that moment that Eva realized that she had shuts been spontaneous in her decision again, she looked at the man who was unbuttoning her shit and gulped; it was awkward.
"I'll just clip it here, then," Gregory said in a low tone, gently moving Eva's right collar away so he could see her red bra.
This was a very hard mission he'd been sent on, and he realized he'd preferred to shop for Jace than do this; his heart was racing and his hands were threatening to shake.
He took a deep breath and focused on the bra; his eyes were trying his best to ignore the milky, soft, and glowing skin of Eva's upper breast.
"Oh..." Eva bit her lips the moment she gasped, her eyes had been following Gregory's hands as he fidgeted to clip the recorder by the side of her bra.
She never expected to feel sharp tingles when his fingers grazed the side of her breast.
"I'm sorry, did I hurt you?" Gregory wanted to step away but Eva held his hand, keeping it steady, "No, I'm sorry, I was...I was just...just carry on, I'm sorry," She bit her lips again and looked away from him.
Hurt her? No.
Eva almost found it comical, she'd never seen a man as clueless as Gregory. There he was, innocently turning her on with his clumsiness and yet he thought he had hurt her.
It shocked her that a simple action from him was making her think some stupid things; she didn't know how it started but all she knew was that she couldn't get those thoughts out of her head anymore.
"I think it's good now," Gregory quickly retracted his hand and stepped back.
Eva almost laughed at his embarrassed face but she let it be. However, she still wanted to tease him just a little more, "The buttons, aren't you going to button them up, Mr. Gregory?" She questioned and walked close to him.
Gregory looked alarmed; he wiped his sweaty hands on his palms and nodded, "I'm sorry, I forgot," He faced her again and started to button the shirt, but his finger mistakenly touched the recorder and it fell into Eva's cleavage.
"Oops, guess you have to take it out now," She smiled up at him.
Gregory shut his eyes and muttered a curse under his breath, "I'm sorry, I, I didn't mean to," he apologized.
Eva nodded, "It's okay, just take it out and fix it back, we're running late already," her voice was suddenly soft and whispery.
Gregory gulped, "I can...I can touch it?" He asked cautiously.
Eva chuckled, "Of course, haven't you touched them before?" She narrowed her eyes at him.
Gregory didn't respond; he gritted his teeth as he gently slipped his index finger between her breasts and took out the recorder, he made sure he fixed it tighter this time and then quickly buttoned up her shirt.
He stepped back and released a loud sigh, "I'm done, let's go," He immediately headed toward the door, feeling like he had run a marathon by how out of breath he was.
Eva smirked, she had suddenly found someone to play with. Since she was now good and no longer did evil things for fun, teasing Mr. Chaz's bodyguard might just be her next hobby.
