Moon cleared her throat and stepped back, "Please, do place your order, Mr. Viktor, I need to get back to work," Moon replied in a professional tone.

Viktor clenched his fists under the table, "I'll take whatever you're getting her," He said, removing his eyes from her.

"Okay, I'll be back with your order, sir," Moon replied and walked away, but not before patting Candy's head.

"Daddy, is mummy okay? Does she need to go to the hospital? She looks sick, really sick, maybe we should bring her home with us? She doesn't look happy, and I miss her, too, don't you miss her? Uncle Aiden and Aunt Ariel are living together with Jace, why can't I live together with you guys? Are you guys fighting? Do I get to live with just you? Then who is mummy going to marry someone else? Have another Candy? Or -"

"Candy..." Viktor gently slammed his palm in front of Candy, careful so he didn't draw attention to their table.

Candy paused, looking up at Vktor with curious eyes, "Yes, Daddy? Do we take her home? Your cooking is bad; hers is better; we won't have to come here when we get hungry," She placed her hand over his on the table, blinking cutely at him.

Viktor sighed, wondering if Candy was really a child or an old woman trapped in a kid's body.

He knew Candy wasn't going to let it go unless he agreed to her suggestion, he could do it for her, but what about him? This was how parents sacrificed themselves for their children; he had to put Candy's feelings first.

It was clear she wanted her mother beside her, and it would affect her emotionally if she grew up without her or him, she needed both of her parents, she had already mentioned how Jace was living life with his parent, he never wanted his daughter to question herself, if she was loved enough or not.

If she wanted her mother, then damn well she would get her mother.

It doesn't matter if he and Moon don't want to see each other; for the sake of their child, they have to compromise.

"Okay," he smiled up at her.

Candy's eyes immediately lightened up, she slid from her chair and went over to her father, hugging him, "Thank you, Daddy, you're the best," She kissed his cheek and giggled, going back to sit down.

Viktor was happy, he agreed; seeing his daughter happy was the best feeling in the whole world; he was an adult, and he would find a way to deal with his emotions. Moon, too, would cope.

"Here you are, Darling," Moon placed Candy's food in front of her before going over to Viktor and gently placing his food down.

"Enjoy your food -"

"Don't leave, feed me," Candy held Moon's hand and dragged her over to her side.

Moon sighed, glancing at Viktor, who was looking down at his plate.

"Candy, I would love to feed you, but I'm working; mummy might lose her job if she sits with you. Do you want me to lose my job?" She asked softly.

Candy frowned, "If you lose your job does it mean you have nothing else to do?" She asked, staring up at Moon's tired face.

Moon nodded, "Yes, honey, I'll have to look for another job,"

"Awesome, then if you have nothing else to do then you can come to work for Daddy, he needs a chef, his cooking is -"

"Candy?" Viktor called, frowning.

"I'm just trying to get her to lose her job, Daddy," Candy replied innocently.

Viktor couldn't help chuckling, "Listen, just eat your food, Candy; I'll talk to your mother later, just let her work for now, okay?" He asked her.

Candy nodded, "Okay. Daddy will talk to you later, don't say no, okay?" She smiled up at Moon.

"Alright, sweetheart, I'll see you later," She caressed her cheek before walking away.

Viktor silently ate, his eyes involuntarily following Moon as she walked around the restaurant attending to customers.

She was currently standing near the food display case when a middle-aged man walked up behind her; Viktor's eyes instantly sharpened when he saw how close the man was to Moon.

"Good evening, Mr. Robert," Moon greeted and tried to step away from the man but he grabbed her arm.

"You refused to come to my office earlier, why? Want to lose your job?" He asked her.

Moon frowned and tried to free her arm but he pulled her closer, "Be still, don't draw attention to us," He smirked at her.

"Please, let me do my duty, Mr. Robert, I didn't come to see you in your office because I didn't want to get involved with you in an unprofessional way," Moon replied in a low but resistant tone.

"But you see..."Robert smiled, "I'm the boss, if you need this job, you'll have to keep me happy," his hand sneaked behind and grabbed her ass.

"Stop!" Moon pushed him away, causing him to collide with a waitress who was passing by with a tray of food; the tray fell on the floor, plates shattering and food splashing all over the place.

Everyone was staring now.

"Oh! I'm sorry, Mr. Robert, I didn't know -"

"Get you out of my way," he pushed the waitress away as she tried to apologize, striding angrily toward Moon.

Moon was scared now; she knew Robert's tamper, and she knew he was about to give her hell; her job was history, too.

"You incompetent fool! Look what you've done!" He barked and raised his hand to slap Moon's face, but he never got to; he snapped his head to the side and glared at Viktor, who had appeared from nowhere and was now holding his hand in a tight grip.

"Huh?! Who the fuck are - ah!" Robert was once again pushed down on the scattered food on the floor by Viktor's harsh slap.

The waitress who was trying to clean up the mess once again went to help Robert up.

Moon was mortified; she grabbed Viktor's hand and drew him back, "No, no, you shouldn't have; I'm going to lose my job," Tears welled in Moon's eyes.

Viktor snatched his hand away from Moon, angry, "You still want to work here?!" He glared at her.

"I have nowhere else to work!" Moon shouted.

Viktor scoffed, "Take Candy to my car," He ordered and turned away from Moon, facing Robert who was holding one side of his face and staggering on his feet.

"You! Do you know who I am?! How dare you - uh, unhand me this instant!" He shouted.

Viktor ignored the man's scream and grabbed him by the collar, dragging him out of the restaurant.

People stared some even recording; the whole place had turned chaotic in the blink of an eye.

Viktor didn't care, he drew the man in front of the restaurant and slammed his back against the glass walls.

"You think bullying is fun, huh?" Viktor seethed.

"Bullying? I'm not buying that whore, I was just trying to give her a chance to better her life, the bitch - Argh!" Viktor kicked him to the floor and started to hit his face, blow after blow after blow.

"Viktor, stop! It's okay! Stop!" Moon rushed over and pulled Viktor away from a bloodied Robert.

"Enough, Viktor! He's already bleeding; do you want to kill him?!" Moon frowned her face at Viktor.

Viktor raised a brow at her, "Do you care that much about him?" He grabbed her hand and walked toward his car.

"Enter!" He opened the car and pointed her in.

Moon sighed and got inside the car, sitting beside Candy.

Viktor drove them right back to the house, taking Candy out of the car without speaking to Moon.

He carried her into her room and asked her to let him talk with her Mother.

"Are you angry at Mummy?" Candy held Viktor's hand as he was about to leave her room.

"No, sweetheart, I just want to show mummy to her room, okay?" He kissed the top of her head and left her room.

He walked back into the living room and saw Moon standing by the door.

"Come in and close the door, Moon," Viktor said, frowning.

Moon sighed and walked into the house, shutting the door behind her.

"Follow me," Viktor said and turned away from Moon, leading her into a short passage.

Moon followed; she knew where he was taking her; she was familiar with Viktor's home; this was where she conceived of Candy; thinking back to that night made her feel bad for all the things he'd done to Viktor. He'd loved her, but she'd played with his feelings.

Viktor paused in front of the door beside his room and pushed it open, "Go in," He said.

Moon hesitated before going into the room, startled when she heard Viktor slam the door behind her. She could feel Viktor's presence behind her.

"Turn around and look at me, Moon, we need to talk," Viktor's voice was calculated as he ordered.
