[BL] Challenge: 100 Baby in Fantasy World-Chapter 284: First Day After Holiday
Suddenly, Gara’s name was called by the staff.
Revan turned to him with that handsome smile of his. "Like you, for example."
Miki immediately clapped the loudest, followed by the other Class S students, and then the rest of the academy.
Of course, a few didn’t clap at all.
Gara went up onstage.
Several names from second- and third-year Class S were called, but none of those students were present.
One of the names was Aneline Karina. Andine was asked to come up as her representative.
She didn’t want to at first—after all, the achievement wasn’t hers—but the professors insisted.
"It’s only a matter of time before you reach what your sister has accomplished," one professor said.
Eventually, Andine went up and stood beside Gara.
The one presenting the awards this time was the professor with the most fans among the students, Professor Langga.
Gara almost clicked his tongue at the sight of the silver-haired man stepping onto the stage.
The award was an enhance crystal, already identified to match their Talents, and a medal made of pure crystal.
An incredible gift for most students.
But for Gara, who had an enhance core and could detect the elements within crystals himself, the reward was...
nothing special.
Langga began placing the medals and handing out the gift boxes, starting with Gara.
"Congratulations, Gara. Thank you for making your main advisor proud," Langga said as he put the medal on him.
Gara immediately turned his face away, annoyed at the man’s handsome smile.
Without Gara noticing, Langga used his distraction to quietly carry out whatever plan he had in mind.
After the outstanding students were announced, the ceremony continued with the names of students who had caused trouble.
Mona Daevora was one of them.
As she stepped onto the stage, she turned and shot Gara a sharp glare.
"She dares to glare like that?" Miki flinched, even though the glare wasn’t directed at him.
"She’s really changed," Madha muttered, worried.
"Maybe something’s wrong with her brain?" Jett asked, purely curious, not sarcastic at all.
Gara didn’t say a word.
Even without her glaring, he knew Mona hated him.
In their class, Mona was the only one with a negative affinity.
Surprisingly, Vania’s affinity had risen to an unexpected number.
...
The ceremony finally ended. First-year students no longer needed the guides like they did six months ago.
Since Class S seats were at the front, they were the last group to leave the hall.
As they stepped out, someone stopped Gara, someone he knew.
"Lio? What’s going on?" Gara asked awkwardly.
He had plans to reveal his identity soon, which could turn him into an enemy of every druid... including Lio.
The druid boy looked just as awkward. Not only because of Gara, but because Fian was standing there too.
"Gara, I brought something from Senior Selena." He handed Gara a small cotton pouch. "These are Starberry seeds."
"Rare seeds?" Gara perked up instantly. "But how did these end up with you?"
"Well, one of Senior Selena’s acquaintances got the Starberry seeds from a druid living in my forest.
Since Senior Selena is still on a mission, she asked me to get the seeds directly from the druid and deliver them to you," Lio explained.
Gara stared at him, curious, then asked on a whim, "So you’re from the same forest... Where is your forest, Lio?"
Lio answered with a bright smile. "I’m from Wasyah Forest."
Thud—
Gara froze.
Fian and Madha, who had been focused on something else a moment ago, immediately tensed up when they heard it.
But Madha instantly acted natural. "Thanks for your help, Lio. We’ll get going."
He smoothly pulled Gara away, followed by Fian, and the other Class S students, who looked a bit confused.
Lio, on the other hand, didn’t suspect anything at all.
Partly because he was embarrassed himself, he also wanted to leave quickly. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Meanwhile, from inside the Great Hall, Langga had watched the awkward interaction from afar. His brows furrowed.
Once Gara left, Langga headed to his office, his steps noticeably hurried.
When he reached the room, he pulled out a metal box.
The moment he opened it, a familiar sound came from inside, from the crystal ring stored there.
The voices belonged to his students. Class S.
Soon after, Pere entered carrying documents. "Sir, will the counseling session for Class S be held today?"
"End of the week," Langga replied, eyes still glued to the crystal ring.
The ring itself didn’t glow or change, only voices came from it.
"In that case, I’ll inform them they’re free for today," Pere said.
"Yes. It’s better if they return to their dorms right away," Langga answered.
"Understood, Sir." Pere nodded and left.
Langga, meanwhile, didn’t look away for even a second.
He barely blinked, as if blinking would make him miss whatever was being said inside the crystal ring.
After nearly an hour, Langga slammed his desk.
"Miki! That kid talks way too much!"
He let out a long exhale.
"I planned everything so perfectly. I even annoyed Gara onstage with my excessive praise just to distract him long enough to slip that crystal onto his robe."
The crystal was a failed product based on the crystal ring. It could only able to connect to one other ring, endlessly transmitting sound.
It couldn’t be controlled like the real versions.
"Why is it always Miki talking? Doesn’t that boy get tired? Aren’t Gara and the others exhausted listening to his gossip?"
Despite his irritation and fatigue, Langga didn’t move an inch, listening with full focus.
Apparently, Gara and the others didn’t return to their dorms. Instead, they went to the back field to train.
There, Miki finally stopped talking—at last—and Gara’s voice became more frequent.
Langga rubbed his chin. "So now he’s helping Andine? Meaning he’s already studied mermaid traits, bloodline, and talent?"
"What can he not do?" Langga chuckled, pride slipping out.
But his laughter stopped instantly.
"—so, Gara, have you told your classmates about your engagement with Madha?"
