[BL] CRAVING HIM: Addicted to His Voice-Chapter 340: A Taste of Holding Restraint
~Evric’s POV~
He looked too small and too cute to refuse. I chuckled softly, gathered my strength, and scooped him up into my arms.
He looked at me for a lingering second, his eyes soft with a silent plea, before leaning in to press a brief, tender kiss to my lips.
Then, he buried his face in the crook of my neck as I carried him back up to our bedroom.
The moment we lay on the bed, Zayn clung to me as if I were the only warmth in the world. He didn’t just lie down, he anchored himself to me, pressing close with a familiar need.
I could feel the rhythm of his breathing against my chest, steady yet urgent. He pressed into me, first with gentle, lingering touches that traced my form, and then, almost absentmindedly, his thumb began to circle over my nipple, slow and deliberate, drawing a shiver from me.
I felt that simple, possessive move vibrate straight through to my soul. It was a test of my willpower, and I was dangerously close to failing. To avoid losing my resolve, I caught his hand and whispered, "Baby, stop."
Zayn pouted, peering up at me from beneath his lashes. "I’m just playing with what’s mine," he murmured softly. "Don’t you belong to me?"
"I do," I replied, my voice straining to stay firm. "But what you’re doing is outside the rules. Do you want me to add to your punishment?"
Zayn’s eyes widened, and he froze. I looked deep into his gaze and said, "If you don’t want me to make this harder for you, then sleep. Now."
"Okay, baby," he whispered, finally stilling his hand and resting his head back on my heart. Just like that, under the weight of the unspoken question, we both fell into a deep, exhausted sleep.
The next morning, I woke up first, the sunlight filtering softly through the curtains. I crept out of bed, leaving Zayn curled in a cocoon of blankets, and headed downstairs to start breakfast.
As the coffee was brewing, my phone buzzed on the counter. It was Jude.
"Hey, Evric," Jude said as soon as I picked up, cutting straight to the chase. "Since you’re nearby, you should swing by. I’ve got a business deal I want you in on, needs a quick answer, so sooner is better."
I checked the time. Zayn would be fine for a couple of hours. "Okay, let’s meet. Come pick me up."
"I’ll be there soon," Jude replied before hanging up.
I headed back upstairs to wake Zayn. I leaned over him, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. "Good morning, baby."
Zayn stirred, blinking slowly. A small, sleepy smile touched his lips. "Good morning, Daddy."
I kissed his cheek and pulled him up. "Come on, wake up. We should shower first."
He groaned, burying his face in my shoulder. "No, Daddy... just a few more minutes."
I shook my head gently. "Nope, the breakfast will get cold."
After a few more stubborn minutes, Zayn finally relented and stood up.
We showered and brushed our teeth together, a domestic routine that felt both normal and charged with the tension of the previous night. Once we were done, Zayn changed into some comfortable loungewear, looking soft and relaxed.
I turned to him as I started getting dressed. "Babe, I need to step out for a little while."
His expression shifted instantly. The light in his eyes dimmed, replaced by a flash of panic. He probably thought I was leaving him alone as part of the lesson.
"Jude is picking me up," I explained quickly. "It’s a business deal he needs me to look at. I’m not leaving to be mean, I promise."
Zayn searched my face, looking for any sign of a lie. "Trust me," I added.
At that moment, I was only wearing my white boxers. Zayn’s gaze traveled down, his eyes lingering on the clear outline of my cock. He stepped closer, his hand reaching out to boldly grab me through the fabric.
"At least give me some of this before you leave," he teased, though his voice had that desperate edge again.
"No, baby," I said, gently but firmly trying to pry his hand away. "Stop. You’re going to stain my boxers."
He let out a frustrated huff but let go. "Fine. But don’t stay too long."
"I’ll be back in no time," I promised.
I finished getting dressed, and we headed downstairs. I served him the breakfast I’d prepared, keeping a careful eye to make sure he actually ate well this time. I took a few bites myself just as Jude’s car rolled into the driveway.
I stood up and kissed Zayn’s cheek. "I’ll be back soon."
As I headed for the door, Zayn’s voice followed me, soft yet insistent. "Okay, Daddy... don’t be gone too long. Remember, your baby’s waiting for you."
"I know, honey," I said with a wink. I opened the door and stepped out into the morning air, leaving him to his thoughts and, hopefully, the answer to my question.
The drive to Jude’s office was short, but my mind was already racing back to the house. When we arrived, we skipped the pleasantries and went straight to the boardroom. Jude slid a thick leather folder across the mahogany table.
"Take a look at this, Evric," he said, his voice laced with concern. "It’s the final draft for the international merger. I wanted your eyes on it before I signed the escrow agreement."
I opened the file and began scanning the line items and the structural framework of the investment. My eyes immediately snagged on the liability clauses and the projected ROI timeline. "This isn’t just a high-risk venture, Jude," I said, my voice hardening into professional steel. "This is a liability trap. If the SEC or any auditor pulls these threads, the whole thing unspools."
I tapped a finger on the signatory page. "Who is the founder? And who drafted this specific framework?"
Jude leaned back, sighing. "A new partner we’re scouting. But the moment the draft hit my desk, something felt... off."
"I’m not investing a cent in this," I told him flatly, sliding the file back. "And I’d advise you to pull your capital immediately. The root of this structure is tainted. It either means the founder is a professional scammer, or this isn’t the original legal draft. Either way, it’s a non-starter."
Jude stared at me in genuine surprise. He had been looking at those papers for days, yet I had dissected the fraud in minutes. "Evric, you’re something else. Your intuition is terrifying."
I offered a small, weary smile. "I’ve been in this game since forever, Jude. I can tell a legitimate deal from a fabrication just by the way the dividends are weighted. You’re being played." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Thank you," Jude said, visibly relieved. "You just saved me from a catastrophic loss."
He stood up, clapping his hands together. "This calls for a celebration. Since I didn’t lose millions today, I’m taking you out. I’ll call Ben and Miles—we’re hitting the club tonight."
"Wait, no," I cut in immediately. "I need to get back. Zayn is the only one at home, and things are...
