[BL] CRAVING HIM: Addicted to His Voice-Chapter 382: The Grooms-to-Be
~Zayn’s POV~
It wasn’t even time yet when a knock came at the door. To my surprise, it wasn’t just the driver. Evric had sent a high-end stylist along with a garment bag containing a stunning, custom-tailored suit he had personally crafted exclusively for me.
"Evric, it’s just a bachelor night, not the wedding yet!" I told him over the phone when I saw the setup. "All of this isn’t necessary."
"Everything is necessary when it involves you, love," he replied smoothly. "Tonight, you’re going to walk in like royalty. Let them do their job. To everyone else, you’re my fiancé but to me, you’re already mine. And I want everyone to see exactly the kind of man I’m proud to stand beside."
By the time evening rolled around, the transformation was complete. I wasn’t just Zayn anymore; I was a vision in a suit that hugged every curve of my body perfectly. My friends were already blowing up my phone with videos of them doing shots and getting dressed, their energy making my heart race with a mix of nerves and pure excitement.
At exactly 7:00 PM, a text flashed on my screen: The driver is downstairs.
I took one last look in the full-length mirror, straightened my jacket, and headed downstairs. As I climbed into the back of the car, a text from Evric flashed on my screen: "I’m waiting for you. Love."
When we pulled up to the venue, I realized the private lounge was part of a massive luxury hotel complex. Evric and all his friends were staying there, and my own friends had already been settled into their own section of the lounge. I couldn’t help but wonder why Evric had gone through the trouble of booking me a separate hotel earlier instead of letting us stay here together.
Evric sent me his room number, and I made my way up. When I reached the door and he opened it, the sight of him nearly took my breath away. He was dressed in a suit that made him look even more powerful and stunning than usual. The moment his eyes landed on me, a slow, predatory smile spread across his face.
"God, you look incredible, Zayn," he murmured, his eyes scanning me from head to toe.
"Well... you definitely didn’t disappoint," My heart was racing as I stepped into the room, my curiosity getting the better of me. "But why did you send me to another hotel? Why not let me come here with you this morning?"
Evric let out a low chuckle, stepping closer until he was looming over me. "It was for your safety, love."
I arched an eyebrow. "My safety? From what?"
He laughed then, a deep, warm sound that curled straight into my chest. "From myself," he said quietly. "I don’t want to touch you until our wedding night," he said quietly. "Because I want you to enjoy everything. Our bachelor night. Our wedding day. I don’t want you tired, sore, or distracted. I want you to be fully present, fully yourself."
His gaze darkened just slightly, filled with promise. After the wedding, I’ll spend the rest of my life touching you, loving you, claiming you. This is just me holding back, because once you’re my husband, I won’t ever loosen my grip."
I laughed, finally understanding his "protective" logic. He was trying to behave himself before the big night. "Fair enough," I said, leaning in to give him a quick, playful kiss.
After a few more moments of stealing quiet glances at each other, we finally stepped out of the room. We walked down to the lounge together, ready to face our friends who were already inside, waiting to kick off the wildest night of our lives.
The moment the double doors of the private lounge swung open, we were hit by a wall of sound.
"There they are! The men of the hour!"
Our friends erupted into cheers and whistles, the kind of rowdy hailing that only happens when a group is already a few drinks in. The atmosphere was electric. They hadn’t settled for something simple; the lounge was a masterpiece of "Rich Groom" aesthetic. Sleek black-and-gold streamers draped from the ceiling, and the far wall featured a massive, neon-lit sign that glowed with the words: THE GROOMS-TO-BE.
The decor screamed luxury. Long tables were laden with artisanal appetizers, and a private bar was stocked with the finest spirits and vintage champagnes. It was high-end, sophisticated, and undeniably expensive.
I broke away to greet my inner circle. Nantam, Dean, and Nicki practically tackled me with hugs, their faces lit up with genuine joy as they congratulated me. I noticed immediately that the room was only filled with our core group.
"Wait, where are your partners?" I asked, looking around.
"No partners tonight, Zayn!" Nicki laughed, waving a cocktail glass. "It’s a Classic Bachelor Night, only the inner circle. No distractions, just us."
I was barely into my second conversation when I felt a firm, warm hand on the small of my back. Evric leaned in, whispering into my ear, "Excuse us for a moment, guys. I need to steal him."
My friends groaned playfully, telling him to bring me back soon, but Evric just smirked and led me toward another section of the lounge. He wanted to introduce me to a few of his closest business associates and childhood friends who hadn’t had the chance to meet me yet. Each introduction was the same, Evric’s hand never left my waist, his voice thick with pride as he introduced me as his future husband.
As the night wore on into the late hours, the music got louder and the laughter more frequent. The drinks were flowing freely, but Evric was never far away. He leaned in at one point, his gaze sharp even through the haze of the party. "Don’t drink too much, babe," he warned with a low, protective hum. "I want you to remember every second of tonight."
I nodded, feeling a blissful warmth spread through me that had nothing to do with the alcohol. Watching our two worlds collide, his high-profile life and my close-knit group of friends, everything felt perfect. We celebrated until the early hours of the morning, the lounge turning into a blur of dancing, toasts, and the kind of happiness that only comes when you’re standing on the edge of a new life.
As the night slowly began to wind down, I moved through the room, saying my goodbyes and thanking both my friends and Evric’s for making the night so unforgettable. Laughter still lingered in the air, the energy refusing to fade completely, but I could feel the pleasant weight of exhaustion finally sinking into my bones.
Evric noticed immediately, as he always did, the way my eyelids were starting to droop. He gently steered me out of the lounge, his arm settling protectively around my shoulders.
"I’m sending you back to the hotel," he murmured softly. "I don’t want you stressed or exhausted. You need your beauty sleep for what’s ahead."
I turned back to wave one last time to Nantam, Dean, Nicki, and the rest of the group, who were still cheering from the entrance. Before stepping into the waiting car, I turned to Evric. I reached up, pulling him down for a slow, lingering kiss that tasted of champagne.
"I’m truly blessed to have you as my partner, Evric," I whispered against his lips, my heart swelling with a conviction that was clearer than ever. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"I’m the lucky one, Zayn," he replied, his eyes dark with a soft, rare tenderness. He tucked me into the back of the sleek car, watching as the door closed.
As the driver pulled away, I leaned my head against the cool glass of the window. My mind drifted toward the ceremony. Our wedding was set to take place at one of the private, sprawling luxury estates owned by Evric’s father.
I looked forward to that day with a mix of fluttering nerves and soul-deep certainty.
In just a few hours, the bachelor nights and the "husbands-to-be" titles would be over.
