(BL) Mafia Love; He who falls the hardest loses-Chapter 77: Gifts
Chapter 77: Gifts
Haruki had to, and since it was an agreement between them that Haruki had set up, Haruki was doing what he promised to do in the contract, and that was spending lavishly on Hiroshi and responding to his request for help in any aspect of his life where Haruki could help him.
Haruki smiled, knowing he had prepared more for Hiroshi. "Wristwatches, you’re always wearing mine." Haruki wanted so badly to tell the man, but to make it a perfect surprise, he pushed forward three boxes on the table.
Hiroshi reached for it and sincerely asked, "What are these?"
"Open them," the man replied.
Hiroshi opened the first, it was an expensive wrist watch like one of those Haruki owned. It was a silver chain wristwatch that looked very neat and professional.
Hiroshi wore it, and it looked very good against his pale skin. As he moved his hand around admiring the work of jewel makers, Haruki’s eyes followed his movements, and when Hiroshi stopped, Haruki lifted his eyes to the man’s gaze and asked, "Do you like it?"
"Yes, I do, I can’t wait to find out what’s in the other boxes." fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
"Then go ahead," Haruki gestured to the other boxes with a smile.
The next box had another wristwatch inside it. They had similar designs, but this wristwatch had a brown leather strap with gold. Yet another expensive-looking wristwatch.
They were all from Haruki, so he loved them. He owned a few wristwatches but couldn’t consider himself a fan of owning so many wristwatches, but since Haruki wanted him to have more and very expensive wristwatches, he decided to be grateful for taking them from him.
"I hope you like this one too?" Haruki asked as he leaned back, casually watching Hiroshi appreciate the gifts he bought him.
Hiroshi looked at Haruki for a few seconds and concluded that this was just what Haruki did with his other lovers, and just like them, he was happy about the gifts with so much appreciation.
He looked down at the other gift after a slight nod to Haruki, with no words said. He picked it up and opened the box. There was a car key inside it.
That one left him shocked since he was already expecting another wristwatch or a set of cufflinks, considering the other gifts.
This was different, and he reached to remove the key from the box. This was also a bit too much. He wanted to ask Haruki what crazy gifts he gives his other lovers.
They were together only for a while, and the man had bought him a car. He wasn’t even a good submissive partner; rather, he had argued with Haruki, and maybe a bit too disrespectful by the standard of the other lovers, but he got all these.
He wondered what Haruki would give him if he decided to be just as perfect as his other lovers.
However, that was not his goal. That was not something he wished for. He wanted to be more than a simple lover whose role did not exceed Haruki’s bedroom.
He wanted to stand by Haruki and not be seen as a sex toy by others, but as a boyfriend, a worthy partner, maybe a husband . . . Some day?
What right does he have to be a worthy partner? He felt like he had nothing, but he was Haruki’s lover now; perhaps he was just like the others, and this was the only position he was truly worthy of.
He had not been a good brother to his brother, a good doctor to Haruki and a good lover, considering he violated some of the things in the contract, but he chose to ignore all his flaws and remain with Haruki for himself.
This was his selfish desire because it was obvious that he was the only one who could not live with Haruki. Haruki would keep living peacefully and energetically without him.
He was the only one with an unbeatable need to be in Haruki’s presence, not the other way around, so whatever role he had to do to be with Haruki, he was more than willing to take the role.
He had six months with Haruki according to the contract, and those were six months he could not waste; those were six months he had to use to ensure that Haruki forgets all the rules he had made up in his mind and fall in love with him as deeply as possible.
He could not trust his charms; he did not trust in anything about himself, but he hoped somehow that, just like Aki provided emotional support to the young Haruki, perhaps Haruki would recognise the support he was more than willing to give him.
If he succeeds, just like Haruki remembered Aki, Haruki will remember him, and if everything works out perfectly, then Haruki will be dependent on him emotionally, and regardless of what decision Haruki chooses to make after the six months are over, Haruki won’t be able to live without him.
The roles will be flipped, and Haruki would be the one trying to find a boyfriend to keep him by his side. Haruki would be the one unable to live without him.
Everything sounded like a dream, his imagination, but these were things he wanted and things he would work hard to accomplish. Even if he doesn’t achieve it to the extent of his imagination, he hoped that at least one night with his new lover, Haruki, would make him remember him and call out his name.
He didn’t hope for anyone to hear, but at least Haruki will still remember him even after a hot, intimate night with his new lover.
His mind was flooded with lots of images, but it all stopped when Haruki told him they should go see the car. It was as if the imaginations and dreams he had were nonexistent, with Haruki’s voice bringing him back to reality.
Everything was disseminated into the thin air, and he lost all those aspirations he had concerning their relationship.
His heart went cold, but he met Haruki’s gaze with a smile.
He asked with curiosity dripping from his tone, "Why did you buy a car, you know I own a couple of cars?"
"Dispose of those, drive this one," Haruki responded naturally. "I’ll buy you another one if you want more, just change your cars."
"Sure," Hiroshi wondered why at that moment, but without wasting time, he agreed to Haruki’s decision.
The car was nice. It was the same brand of car he owned, but this was a newer model. It was a foreign car, expensive but not outrageously so, and it was comfortable to drive in.
"What do you think?"
"I like it," he responded naturally. It was not a drastic change for him. He would have driven a luxury sports car if Haruki had bought it for him, but it would have been a big change for him.
Most people will notice, and it won’t necessarily look too good for him to drive, even as the son of the hospital’s head.
Something too extravagant, as though announcing his position and financial status, was not something he would like to do well unless Haruki wanted him to; then he would outrightly tell them his lover bought it for him if anyone asked.
He turned to Haruki and asked jokingly, "Aren’t you scared I will drive away in the car?"
"No. I’m not," Haruki replied immediately without even taking a second to think about it.
Hiroshi could not hold back a pout. Was the man not afraid of him driving away, or did he not believe that he could not drive away?
He tilted his head thoughtfully before Haruki asked, "Do you want to test drive it?"
"I don’t mind. We could do something sexy in a secret spot. The best way to launch the car, don’t you think?"
Haruki’s eyes widened at the man’s confident words. He looked into the car as he wondered if it would be comfortable enough.
"It would be very comfortable, I promise," the doctor said as he opened the car door as though reading Haruki’s thoughts.
"Back or front?" Haruki asked.
"Anywhere."
"Back," Haruki responded, and Hiroshi opened the door.
"Do we go for a drive and do it outside or here?"
"Here," Haruki responded. He was not confident about doing it outside, but in his private parking lot, he knew no one except his assistant could come in.
Haruki got in first, and the doctor followed in. When he looked around, he realised the doctor was not wrong about the comfort of the car. It was comfortable and spacious enough with just the right amount of space.
While he was looking around the room, the doctor got into the back seat with him. He felt the man’s hand on his waist before he turned to meet his gaze.
He suddenly felt this was not right. It was not as though he was shy, but he felt this was not okay for the man’s birthday, after all, they had a well-decorated room for the man’s birthday.
