[BL]My Stepbrother, My Fated Omega-Chapter 87: At the Police Station
Bravin pulled the car to a stop outside the police station.
Adrian exhaled, checking his watch. "Let’s make this quick. The party’s still waiting."
Lucien’s eyes lit up with excitement. Ash glanced at him uneasily, then turned to Adrian. "I think you should go in alone."
Adrian frowned. "Why?"
Ash lowered his voice. "Look at him. He’s too excited. I’m afraid he might overdo it."
Lucien crossed his arms, pouting. "I’m not that bad. Don’t ruin my mood."
Adrian gave a small sigh. "Fine. I’ll handle him myself. You both just watch."
Ash nodded, relaxing slightly. Lucien bit his lower lip, muttering, "Hmph."
They stepped out of the car, greeted by the police captain, who quickly led them inside. Lucien trailed behind, grinning and greeting every officer they passed as if it were a social visit.
The captain stopped at a cell door, unlocked it, and stepped aside for Adrian and Ash to enter.
Inside, the driver looked up. The moment his eyes met Adrian’s, his face went pale, and his hands trembled.
Adrian stepped closer, his tone calm but cold. "Just tell me who sent you to hit that girl. It didn’t look like an accident. Do that, and I’ll ask the captain to let you go."
The driver’s voice shook. "I-I can’t tell you."
Adrian’s tone hardened slightly. "Please, don’t make me hurt you. You know I’m a kind Alpha, but..."
Before he could finish, Lucien strolled in, lazily flipping a silver knife between his fingers. "I’m also a good Alpha," he said with a teasing smile.
Then, in a blink, the knife flew-whistling through the air before striking the wall just inches from the driver’s neck.
The man froze, trembling violently.
Adrian turned to Lucien, rubbing his temple. "I should’ve left you locked in the car. Now he’s terrified. He won’t talk at all."
Ash blinked in disbelief. "Where did you even get that knife?"
Lucien shrugged casually. "From the kitchen. Walking around empty-handed felt boring."
Adrian turned back to the driver. "Don’t be scared. Alpha Lucien didn’t mean it. Just tell me."
The man stayed silent.
Lucien’s impatient showed. "He’s wasting our time, Adrian. Just give him to..."
Before Lucien could finish, the driver lunged. In one frantic motion, he grabbed Adrian from behind, pressing the knife against his chest. His breathing was ragged. "Before you get me," he spat at Lucien, "I’ll end him first."
The room froze for a heartbeat. Lucien’s face went pale. "I didn’t mean it!" he shouted, hands raised.
Ash stepped forward, voice sharp. "Please, don’t hurt him. I’m begging you. He has two mates pregnant. Don’t make those babies fatherless."
Adrian, still trapped in the hold, stared at Ash in shock. Lucien’s eyes widened too. Ash added quickly, "One of his mates isn’t working yet. He really needs his money."
The man faltered at Ash’s words, knife hand trembling. In that instant, Ash lunged, yanking the man’s arm, forcing the blade away, and pushing Adrian aside. The man scrambled to grab the knife again, but Ash held his arm. Lucien then snatched the knife, holding it firmly.
Ash stood, breathing heavily, as he and the man faced each other. Adrian hurried over, touching Ash’s shoulder. "Are you okay?"
Ash nodded.
Lucien, voice low and teasing, said, "Would you mind, Ash, if I had a little fun?"
The driver glanced at Ash with pleading eyes, silently begging not to be left alone with Lucien.
Ash replied calmly, "Yes."
He turned to Adrian, took his hand, and guided him out of the cell, leaving Lucien behind with the man.
Back in the car, Ash ordered Bravin, "Can you excuse us for a moment?"
Bravin nodded and stepped out. Adrian kept staring at Ash. Ash sigh. "You know, I was really scared that man could have killed you."
Adrian smiled softly. "You were really cute back there," he murmured.
Ash felt his cheeks heat and pouted. "Stop that."
Adrian’s smile faded, replaced with a brief flash of fury.
"What’s wrong?" Ash asked.
"I haven’t forgotten what you said," Adrian replied.
Ash laughed. "But I already told you why I reacted like that."
Adrian still pouted. Ash leaned closer teasingly. "Like now...I’m dying for you to kiss me."
Adrian blinked, caught off guard. Ash leaned in, and their lips met. They kissed for a moment, then pulled back.
Under his breath, Adrian murmured, "Between my kiss and Lucien’s...which is better?"
Before Ash could answer, Lucien entered. "Of course it’s mine," he said casually.
Adrian sighed, then asked, "Did you get anything out of him?"
Lucien nodded his head, exhaling slowly. "You wouldn’t believe it."
"Tell us," Ash urged.
Lucien stretched lazily, eyes on Adrian. "Your wife sent him."
Both Adrian and Ash froze, shock written across their faces.
Lucien glanced at Ash, curiosity in his eyes. "I’m curious...why would Celeste want to kill your friend? Do they have a grudge against each other?"
Ash shook his head. "My friend is a good person. She doesn’t hold grudges against anyone."
Adrian frowned. "But if I remember correctly, Celeste once tried to...seduce her."
Lucien blinked in surprise.
Adrian continued, "Luckily, I saw her in time and stopped her."
Lucien leaned back slightly, thoughtful. "I think we should ask your friend if there’s something between her and Celeste."
Ash’s voice softened, tinged with emotion. "She’s not herself right now. She has amnesia...it’s from the accident."
Lucien frowned. "That’s too bad..." Then his eyes widened, fixing in Ash. "Wait-you said you saw Celeste at the ICU window, peeping at you and Adrian?"
Ash nodded.
Adrian’s eyes widened. "Or...it wasn’t about us. Was it to finish your friend completely?"
Lucien’s eyes narrowed. "There’s something your friend knows about Celeste...and my sister won’t stop until she’s killed her."
Fear flickered across Ash’s face. "What should we do?"
Lucien smirked. "I’ve already got a video of the driver confessing. At the party, my sister will be there, and Adrian’s father too. I’ll expose her with the video. The law will take care of the rest."
Adrian nodded thoughtfully.
Lucien then turned to Adrian, a teasing smile on his lips. "It’s also an advantage for you. Your father wouldn’t bear the embarrassment...he might even tell you to divorce her."
