Black Dragon X [LitRPG • Dark Fantasy]-Chapter 49 - 48 : The System’s Call and the Dawn of Chaos
The calm did not last long in the Drakhaen Kingdom.
Suddenly, A sharp metallic sound echoed across the sky. It was not the sound of a horn. Nor was it a human scream. It was the sound of the system itself.
<< System Alert : The appearance of mysterious cards has been detected globally.
Source: Unknown.
Reason: Unknown.
Potential Risk: High.>>
The soldiers froze in the training grounds. One of them lifted his head toward the sky.
—"What is... this?"
Another soldier gripped his sword anxiously.
—"The system only issues a global alert during disasters..."
In the Command Tower...
Commander Raiga and Commander kurozen stood gathered around the stone table. The red message reflected across their faces. The silence was heavy.
Then Commander Raiga spoke in a low voice:
—"They have appeared in the hands of people here as well."
He pulled one from his pocket. A black card rested between his fingers. The mysterious symbols on it moved slowly.
In another hall , Commander Daemon sat. His eyes were narrowed... But his voice remained calm. He spoke slowly:
—"So... it has finally happened."
Everyone looked at him. Then he continued:
—"This means we will face the consequences of our actions."
He did not raise his voice. Yet his words made the silence even heavier.
In the corner of the hall, A woman stood.
Commander Kaelina. Her long hair shifted slightly in the air. Her eyes were filled with anger. Then she spoke bitterly:
—"Draven..."
She clenched her fist.
—"Damn you Dravin."
The air in the hall grew heavier. But another voice cut through the silence. A calm voice.
Commander Mirei. She stood near the tall window. Looking at the sky. But she did not appear afraid. Rather... contemplative. She spoke quietly:
—"The war did not start today."
Then she added:
—"It began the moment we decided to walk this path."
She turned toward the hall. Her eyes glimmered faintly.
—"And now... We are only approaching the end."
Silence settled.
But far from that hall... In the middle of the training grounds, Commander Shira gripped his sword and said:
—"Finally... I’ll get some fun outside this kingdom."
_
Behind the castle, The courtyard in the Drakhian Kingdom was almost empty.
In the center of the space A sword moved swiftly. The sound of metal cut through the air. One strike. Then another. Then a third.
Lilithia was training. Her body moved fluidly, But her strikes were sharp... Relentless. Her movements were no longer hesitant as before. Her feet slid steadily across the ground, And her sword sliced through the air mercilessly.
A wooden training dummy stood before her. But after a powerful strike, The wood split in two.
Lilithia paused for a moment. Her breathing was calm... But her eyes were not. There was something different in them. Something that had not been there before.
Behind her, Villiam stood leaning against a stone pillar. His arms were crossed over his chest, And his eyes watched her silently. He raised an eyebrow slightly. Then he said quietly:
—"Your strikes have become harsher."
Lilithia did not look at him. She wiped the sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand. Then she said coldly:
—"The enemy will not wait for me to hesitate."
A brief silence fell over the courtyard. Then, A sound echoed suddenly. A cold... metallic sound. Not a human sound. But the sound of the system.
<< System Alert : The appearance of mysterious cards has been detected globally.
Source: Unknown.
Reason: Unknown.
Potential Risk: High.>>
The air seemed to stop for a moment. Lilithia and Villiam lifted their heads at the same time.
Villiam narrowed his eyes slightly. And he said quietly:
—"It seems the world will not remain calm after today."
But Lilithia said nothing. The words stopped. Then, She clenched her hand tightly. She spoke in a low voice... But filled with determination:
—"Good."
Villiam looked at her.
She raised her head. And in her eyes there was no fear. Only a quiet fire. Then she said:
—"If this is the beginning of chaos..."
She paused for a moment. Then continued:
—"Then it means I will annihilate them all."
Villiam understood immediately. The sorcerers. They were the ones she meant. The wind passed through the courtyard.
But before anyone could speak, A third voice came from behind them. A calm... heavy voice.
—"War..."
They both turned. At the edge of the courtyard. A man stood.
Commander Kisho.
He had been watching them for who knows how long... no one knew. His eyes were steady... as if measuring something far away. He stepped forward slowly.
Then he said:
—"True wars..."
He paused briefly. He looked at Lilithia. Then he continued in a mysterious voice:
—"Do not begin when swords are raised."
He lifted his eyes toward the dark sky. Then he said:
—"But when fate begins to move its pieces."

In another part of the Drakhaen Kingdom,...
Amid the darkness, The Black Dragon rose. But his form was not that of a full dragon. He was in his human form. A tall man. His eyes resembled those of ancient beasts. He smiled faintly. And spoke in a low voice:
—"So... fate moves."
He lifted his head toward the darkness ahead. Then he whispered:
—"Draven."
His eyes flared slightly.
—"I see you have finally reached your goal."
The air in the cave grew heavier. He looked at his hand and then spoke in a deeper voice:
—"But this time... The world will not be yours alone."
The dragon’s words brought an old memory back to his mind...
—------------- FlashBack —----------------------
The Azraqeeen Mountain was silent.
Not the silence of night... But the silence of something older than night itself. And on a high edge of the mountain, A man sat. Human in form... But his presence was not human.
His eyes were deep, like bottomless darkness. It was the Black Dragon. He did not move. He only stared into the void before him.
But the void... was not empty. Before him, There were shadows. Twelve shadows.
No features... No faces... Just still shapes, As if they were part of the darkness itself. The wind passed among them, But they did not move.
Then one of them spoke. Its voice did not come from a mouth, But from the shadow itself. A cold... Ancient voice. It said:
—"Kanade..."
The name echoed over the rocks. Then the shadow continued:
—"She had come closer than she should."
The wind calmed. Then it said:
—"She heard the call of the stone."
A moment of silence.
—"And through it... She will see memories."
The shadows contracted slightly. Then the voice continued:
"And through it... the stone will scream."
The air grew heavier.
—"And She will see what cannot be seen."
The wind stopped. Even the mountain itself seemed to be listening. Then another voice came from among the shadows. Slower. Deeper.
—"And if that reacts..."
It paused for a moment. Then it said:
"Then the Kingdom of the Sealed Throne will know the truth."
The shadows did not move. But their presence grew heavier. Then a third voice came. Colder.
—"And for this..."
It paused. Then it said slowly:
"Her soul must be sealed."
The wind returned briefly. Then the shadow whispered:
"In the Azraqeeen Mountain."
Silence.
Then the final sentence, Heavier than everything before it.
"Because... if she is not sealed."
The voice paused. Then it said:
"Then a greater gate... will open."
No one mentioned any gate. No one spoke of what lay beyond it. But the words hung in the air.
A moment...
Then, The shadows vanished. They did not move. They did not fade. They simply... Were no longer there.
The mountain returned to silence. As it had been. But the Black Dragon Did not move. He lifted his head slightly toward the sky. The clouds drifted slowly over the mountain. Then he spoke in a low voice:
—"The truth..."
He paused for a moment. Then he smiled faintly.
—"Its fate is to appear one day."
The wind passed over the Blue Mountain once more. But this time It was not alone.
—------------- Return —----------------------
Darkness returned.
The Black Dragon slowly raised his hand. On his wrist... The metallic device of the Drakhaen Kingdom glowed.
A faint light emanated from it. The cold voice of the system sounded:
—"System connected."
The dragon did not raise his head. He spoke in a calm, heavy voice:
"Issue a general summons."
The words paused. Then he continued:
"To all commanders."
The light flickered slightly, as if the system itself were recalculating. But the voice returned:
—"Command confirmed."
His eyes opened slowly. He said:
"Let them all proceed..."
He paused for a moment. Then continued without hesitation:
"To the meeting hall."
The light on his wrist grew brighter. The system announced:
—"Sending summons."
At that moment, Across the entire Drakhaen Kingdom. The commanders’ devices lit up. Only one message appeared.
<< Emergency Order.
All commanders to the meeting hall immediately.>>
_
Meanwhile, in Azraqeen Mountain,...
Silence returned. But it was not a natural silence. The air was saturated with a strange energy. And the Sun Stone in the center of the plaza was filled with cracks.
Remnants of golden light slowly seeped from it. On the ground Skyler lay sprawled. His body was still. His eyes were closed. Unconscious.
Directly in front of him :
Kai.
He stood. His eyes were cold. No anger in them. No hesitation. He looked at Skyler’s body in silence. Then he said quietly:
—"Weak..."
His words were not filled with contempt. Rather, they sounded like a cold observation. Behind him Kanade stood.
The demoness. She had been watching the scene from the beginning. Then she smiled faintly. And said calmly: 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
—"You were a little harsh with him."
Kai did not turn to her. He only looked at Skyler lying on the ground. A brief silence fell. The wind passed through the rocks.
But suddenly, A sound. Footsteps. Slow. Steady. Coming from behind the rising fog. Kanade stopped smiling. Her eyes narrowed slightly. Kai lifted his head.
From within the fog, A figure appeared. One step... Then another. Until he stepped fully into the dim light.
Akira.
He stood a few meters away from them. He first looked at Skyler lying on the ground. Then at the cracks covering the stone. Then finally At Kai.
A moment of silence passed. Then Akira said quietly:
—"I knew you would do it... Kai."
His voice was calm. But it carried a strange weight. Kanade narrowed her eyes slightly. Then she whispered:
—"Hmm... An expected guest."
As for Kai. He continued to stare at Akira without moving. Then he said slowly:
—"...Akira."
The wind passed over the mountain once more. But this time It was clear that events had begun to move toward something greater.
