Black Online-Chapter 132: Flipping the Coin
The fire crackled, casting an orange glow across the icy wall. It was turning darker in the quarry as the night enveloped the 15th floor.
"...This is better."
Della whispered shyly.
With his bare chest open in the chilly air, Fang Raon was hugging Della from the back, holding her close.
She had taken off her shirt and was also completely exposed, but she still had the winter clothes wrapped around her.
With Fang Raon’s chest touching Della’s naked back, he was transferring warmth to her with his body.
It was working quite well.
Both of them started to slowly recover their lost health, and it was slowly but surely climbing higher.
"...Can you still move at all?"
Fang Raon asked.
He was just trying to get his mind out of the current situation, as it was quite stimulative, and if he had a reaction with his lower half, he would probably want to kill himself out of shame.
"No... Owen’s class is Poison Death Doctor. He creates his own poison, and he is especially good at creating paralyzing poison."
Della said.
"Poison Death Doctor? There are quite interesting-sounding class names, haha."
Fang Raon said with a wry smile.
He wondered just how goofy his class name was going to be in the future, and it started to make him quite worried.
His class—Dancing Blademan—was already not that "cool" of a class, but it was still decent enough.
"Giggle~ Yeah. I am Light Warlock. Miranda is the Blood Maiden. Grandfather is Father of Hounds. Waylen is Magic Swordsman. Rickard is the Shield of Mortality."
Della said with a giggle.
"What is the funniest class name you’ve come across?"
Fang Raon asked.
"Hmm... Oh yeah, one streamer that I watched way back had a class called "Disappointment," so I thought it was really funny."
Della laughed.
"Disappointment? How did one get that kind of class, and more important... Why did he choose that one?"
Fang Raon asked with a wry smile.
"I don’t know what he did to get that class name, but apparently the other two choices weren’t any better, hehe~"
Della giggled.
Fang Raon chuckled.
He honestly liked hearing Della giggle, as it sounded like wind chimes on a breezy day, and it really suited her personality.
He knew that Della was a really popular streamer and started to understand why people would watch her.
She had that kind of charming personality that attracted people to her, and it was no wonder that she was able to become guild master even though she was quite young to be one.
’I don’t think I could ever be guild master...’
Fang Raon mulled over his thoughts.
"My health is back at full!"
Della said happily.
And now, if only she got her body functions back, then they would be able to go out and deal with Rickard.
"..."
Fang Raon looked at her with determination in his eyes, and then he stopped hugging her and put her shirt back on her.
"...What are you doing?"
Della asked curiously.
"I’ll go deal with Rickard."
Fang Raon laid her beside the campfire, stood up, and put back on his shirt and his transparent chainmail armor.
"What? Don’t! He’ll kill you!"
Della shrieked.
She didn’t understand where this was coming so suddenly from, but she didn’t want for him to go alone.
"Let’s just wait and hope that I’ll be able to move soon!"
She pleaded.
"I’ll at least take Rickard elsewhere. I’ll keep him busy and buy some time for you to get better. It’s not a good idea for us to just wait here and hope he doesn’t find us.
"It’s getting darker in the quarry. This fire is getting more and more eye-catching. If Rickard gets anywhere close to this place, he’ll notice the light coming from the fire.
"I don’t like those odds."
Fang Raon said.
"Don’t..."
He ignored her pleas, looked at the Enchanted Compass, stepped out of the chamber, and walked away.
He pulled out a torch from his inventory, lit it up with a matchstick, and let it burn so that it would guide his way.
"...Maybe this way?"
Fang Raon whispered.
He wasn’t following the compass needle anymore, but he felt like he was getting closer to the exit as the cold wind brushed against his face.
Swoosh!
"?!"
Fang Raon turned his head around and moved his arm in the way, and at that moment, a sword cut through his arm.
The arm flew past his eyes, landing on the ground with a thud. The hand of it was still holding the torch.
"Where is the bitch?"
Rickard growled and swung the sword again, but Fang Raon Dodge Rolled under the swing, and then he pulled out his sword from his inventory.
"Sword Stab!"
The sword pierced through the air, heading to Rickard’s abdomen, but in that moment, his shield appeared and blocked the attack.
The blade of the sword screeched against the shield and tried pushing it back, but Rickard stood his ground, showing no sign of weakness.
"WHERE IS SHE?!"
He swung the shield and smashed it across Fang Raon’s face, sending him tumbling down to the ground.
"You can stop acting so tough now. She is not here. You can sell her away, and she wouldn’t know."
Rickard said.
In that moment, Fang Raon pulled out a scarred coin from his inventory and flipped it into the air.
It landed on the ground with a clang, and a notification appeared in front of him.
[Your Speed Attribute has received a 500% buff!]
It was the Scarred Raider Coin, which he acquired from one of the raids, and by flipping it, he would get an attribute boost to one of his attributes.
It was random, but this time around, the luck was very much on his side.
"Argh!"
Fang Raon jumped to his feet and started running, the wind whipping through his hair as he ran towards the cold wind.
"Tank Charge!"
Rickard charged after him and was barely able to keep up with him, but he was wondering where the hell this sudden speed was coming from.
’How the hell is he this fast now?!’
Rickard cried out.
In that moment, they both saw something in the distance. It was the exit. And they both sprinted towards it with all their might.
’The exit? How the hell did he discover it?!’
Rickard gritted his teeth.
Fang Raon ran out of the quarry, and in front of him, he saw a large forest spreading before him, and when he looked at the compass, it was pointing north.
’I thought the Snowberry Village was close? Where the hell am I?’
He looked behind, saw Rickard catching up to him, and then looked up to the mountain, and his eyes glinted.
Without further ado, he started running up the mountain, dragging his feet through the thick snow.
At that moment, Rickard left the quarry and looked around, and he was even more shocked than Fang Raon.
’Where the hell are we? This is not the correct exit. Does this mean that there is actually a second entrance to the quarry that we haven’t known about?
’If Monsieur Rascals finds out about this, we can use this entrance to sneak into Snowberry Village and take everybody by surprise.
’We would definitely win the war!
’But now this bastard also knows about this... I have to kill him!’
Rickard gritted his teeth and started climbing after Fang Raon, hunting him down like a hungry wolf.
