Black Online-Chapter 151: Murder Mystery Night
Della walked between the gravestones, carefully reading each name and inscription.
However, she then shuddered as if she felt a sudden chill spike.
She imagined that zombies would suddenly jump out of the graves and drag her into the ground with them.
"Pfft."
Behind her, Fang Raon chuckled, but as soon as Della snapped her head around to confront him, his grin vanished.
"What are you laughing at?"
Della asked with a pout.
"If you’re so scared of scary things, why did you come here?"
Fang Raon asked with a cheeky smile.
"You don’t question your guild master, is that understood, team leader?"
Della put her hands on her hips and asked haughtily, acting like a royal princess instead.
"Sure thing, guild master."
Fang Raon said with a wry smile.
"Good!"
Della smiled, and she looked around the cemetery but didn’t find the things that she was looking for.
She wanted to come to the cemetery because it obviously seemed like a place that would be very haunted—she based that information on movies.
Instead, there were only gravestones with some local corpses buried in the ground, and nothing else.
There was no sign of the Wailing Widow.
’If I were in her shoes, I would’ve probably also started with the cemetery. It feels like a good place to start.’
Fang Raon thought.
In that moment, he caught sight of the chat window and saw the people chatting, but then he caught sight of one message.
[CaliforniaGirl: Raon, please scare Della, it will be super funny. I promise you. Just tap her shoulder and shout ’Boo’ or something!]
The chatter also got some support from the chat, daring Fang Raon to do it, and even calling him a coward if he didn’t do it.
’Coward? I’m not one.’
Fang Raon slowly approached Della, and then he raised his hand and firmly patted her on the shoulder.
"Aaaahhhhh!"
Della screamed in surprise and jumped like a frightened rabbit, hitting her head on the low-hanging branch above her.
"Oww..."
She rubbed her head and then looked behind her—she saw Fang Raon innocently scratching his head—the chat was laughing.
Her face turned flushed in embarrassment, and she summoned her golden grimoire.
"That’s not funny at all, Raon!"
She screamed, her voice echoing through the cemetery, and one light sword flew out of the grimoire.
Heading straight for him.
"Oh sh—"
Fang Raon jumped behind one of the gravestones, and the light sword whizzed past him, missing him by mere inches.
"You are so dumb! This is not a laughing matter. We need to take this seriously, you dummy!"
Della stomped her feet on the ground and noticed that the chat was just laughing even more because of her reaction.
She bit her lips in frustration and screamed inaudibly.
"Okay, stop!"
Fang Raon raised his arms in surrender and chuckled awkwardly.
"It’s just a joke...The chat also promises to stop laughing, right?"
[IcedApple: No!]
[PrimeBanana: No, haha!]
[Schmoka: Her reactions are just too cute!]
’Shitty chat...’
Fang Raon rolled his eyes.
"...Okay."
Della, with the pink cheeks, nodded bashfully.
With a sigh of relief, Fang Raon stepped forward to keep recording, but in that moment, he stepped onto something strange.
"Light Mirror!"
Della suddenly cast a spell.
Under Fang Raon’s right foot, a mirror made out of light appeared, and it was very slippery.
He suddenly slipped and fell backward onto an empty grave.
"Giggle~"
Della picked up the camera, pointing at Fang Raon, who was stuck in the empty grave, and smiled.
"You shouldn’t play around too much~"
"Haha... Very funny..."
Fang Raon shook his head and then climbed out of the grave and noticed that the stream chat definitely found it funny.
Meanwhile, he didn’t it find it very funny.
"Hehe~"
Della handed the camera back to him and then said, "I guess we’re done with the cemetery," and headed out.
While cleaning himself of the dirt, he followed her out of the cemetery, and they slowly made their way down the pitch-black forest.
They thought that they were making their way back to the main road, but for some odd reason, they couldn’t find it.
"Are we going the right way?"
Della asked.
"We are."
Fang Raon used the compass and just a moment ago saw that they were going in the right way, but in that moment, something odd happened.
"What...?"
The compass was spinning rapidly.
"Wait a moment, Della."
"What is it?"
Della stopped, approached him, and saw the strangeness of the compass as it never settled on a direction.
This would only happen if they were in a Safe Zone, but they weren’t anywhere close to it, so it was very strange.
Fang Raon showed the compass to the camera, and the stream chat seemed equally confused about it.
"What’s that?"
Della suddenly pointed in one direction, and Fang Raon turned around with the camera—they all saw the same thing.
Light coming from somewhere in the forest.
It was very noticeable because of the dark forest, and anybody who was even remotely near the area would see that.
"Let’s go."
Della said and started approaching the light, and Fang Raon didn’t say no to that and followed behind her.
They soon left the forest and arrived at the yard of a house. It was spacious-looking mansion. It was abandoned-looking though.
It was nowhere near as big as Rose Records mansion, but big enough to house a big family, and it was currently very dark.
Except.
There was light coming from the front door window for some odd reason.
"Well... This is eerie."
Fang Raon said.
With the golden grimoire floating atop her hand, Della slowly approached the door, and Fang Raon pointed the camera at her.
The chat was slowly quieting down as well. As if they were equally scared and nervous.
In that moment, Della opened the door and entered the house with Fang Raon following closely behind her.
Thump!
The door slammed shut!
"?!"
Della turned her head around in a panic, and looked at Fang Raon, asking, "Did you close it?" but he shook his head.
At that moment, light flooded the small mansion.
The lanterns came to life. The chandeliers shone with light. The house’s dusty and spiderweb-covered furniture also regressed in time.
They were beautiful and brand new once again—just like the rest of the house—as if they had gone back in time.
"Hello."
They heard a voice, and both of them flinched—they saw a maid standing by the closed doors of the living room—she looked like she had just stepped out of a history book.
"You must be the detective that we’ve been hearing so much about. I am glad that you’ve finally come. In the living room, there is a murderer, and you must find out who it is."
The maid said.
She was talking to Della, and she looked confused, but also, her eyes brightened with excitement.
She realized what this was.
