"Heal..."
Elena touched Fang Raon’s shoulder and healed him of all his injuries, including the stab wound on his chest.
"Thanks..."
Fang Raon thanked her, and she just smiled in return and turned her attention to her daughter.
’With Elena here, maybe it is possible to defeat them. It doesn’t look like they have Helpers among them, which gives us an advantage.’
He thought to himself.

Raizen pulled his spear out of the corpse of a hound, and in that moment, he sensed something and turned to look at Della.
She was looking directly at him with her golden grimoire floating beside her.
"You must be Della, Rook’s sister."
He said.
"...I am the guild master of Rose Records, and that’s the only thing you should know about me."
Della said.
"Hmm..."
Raizen looked at her, and at that moment, his personality suddenly changed, and he started smiling charmingly.
"You are a cute one. Why don’t we go for a coffee after this?"
’Rizzen’ said.
"Blades of Light!"
Golden swords of light suddenly hurled themselves out of the pages of the golden grimoire.
"Acting tough to get? I like that."
Rizzen laughed, and then he started spinning his spear rapidly in front of him. It was moving so fast that it seemed like a helicopter blade was spinning in front of him.
The blades of light deflected off the spinning spear and broke apart, causing them to slowly dissipate into nothing.
"Spear Stab!"
Rizzen stabbed the spear through the air, and it was coming for Della’s shoulder, as he just wanted to incapacitate her.
"Light Mirror!"
Della summoned the golden-rimmed mirror from the grimoire and placed it in front of the incoming spear.
The spear’s blade smashed into the mirror with a loud clang, and surprisingly, the spear slid off the mirror harmlessly.
"Copy Magic: Spear Stab!"
Della shouted.
In that moment, an identical-looking spear shot out from the light mirror—it was the exact same skill that Rizzen had just used—and this one was coming for the heart.
Rizzen whipped his spear down and cut straight through the copy, dispelling it harmlessly.
’The spear that is copied isn’t as strong as the original, but for him to cut straight through it like it’s nothing is... scary.’
Della thought with a frown on her face.

At another location, Rock and Raikou were dueling next to tombstones, iron fences, and dilapidated buildings.
"Hound Arm!"
Rock’s arm suddenly turned hairy, and his hand turned into a mouth of sharp teeth and biting jaws that snapped shut with a loud, echoing crunch.
"What a nasty power!"
Raikou shouted, and he then coated himself with shadows, and he started running straight at Rock.
"Feed on him!"
Rock shouted, and his hound arm shot out towards Raikou, and with its mouth opening wide, it took a large bite out of Raikou.
It looked like it swallowed half of Raikou in one gulp, but then the shadow went straight through him.
The shadow formed back into a person—into Raikou—and he formed a dagger made purely of shadow.
"Black Knife!"
He thrust it towards Rock, but then he sensed something and turned his gaze to the ground, which had turned into a hound as well!
"I expected that... You fell for my trap."
Rock said with a smile.
"Swallowing Ground!"
The hound on the ground tried to bite off Raikou’s legs, but he quickly used "Shadow Leap" and jumped into the air.

In that moment, Rock’s hound arm punched Raikou directly in the chest and sent him flying through trees.
"Argh... urgh... Agh... Ngh..."
Raikou groaned in discomfort as he smashed through things, and eventually, he came to a stop, but his health wasn’t looking pretty.
’I didn’t... Expect Raizen’s master to be so powerful... Since he was just someone from the weak, 55th-ranked guild... I expected him to not amount to much...’
Raikou wiped the blood off his cracked lip.
He was the guild master of the powerful 7th-ranked guild in the world, and thus, he should be easily able to destroy the members of some 55th-ranked guild.
However.
If Rock really wanted to, any of the top guilds would want him because of his strength and knowledge in teaching.
He was only a member of Rose Records because it was the guild of his granddaughter.
"It looks like you’ve also learned the basics of the Read, but you still have a lot to learn."
Rock said as he walked through the broken trees with his arms behind his back, looking like a wise teacher.
"You taught my big brother Read as well?"
Raikou asked.
"Of course. I taught him Maxima and Read. I didn’t have time to teach him the rest of the Pillars of Power, but I expect him to have already learned those from somebody else."
Rock said.
"Of course he has. My big brother is a brilliant genius. I am sure he would’ve figured out the Pillars of Power without your help!"
Raikou screamed.
"...Maybe."
Rock said with a smile.
"Have you taught that little shit Raon these things as well?"
Raikou asked.
"No, I haven’t yet. He has so much to learn, and making him learn Pillars of Power immediately would’ve been like throwing him into the deepest pit and hoping he learns to swim."
Rock chuckled.
"Save your energy, then. He has always been a poor learner. Like a good brother would, I tried to teach him some swordsmanship, but haha, he failed to learn anything."
Raikou said with a smirk.
"...You tried, huh?"
Rock stopped smiling.
He doubted that it was proper training.

A golden magical circle appeared below Rizzen’s feet, and then one appeared above his head as well, and another on top of that, and one more on top of that.
"Golden Circle: Crash!"
Della pushed her hand down, and then those golden circles came crashing down on Rizzen while the golden circle under his feet stopped him from moving.
"Maxima!"
Rizzen stabbed his spear through the golden circles, destroying them like glass plates, and then destroyed the one that was under his feet.
"Blades of Light!"
Della sweated as she pushed herself, and then golden blades shot out from one of the pages of the golden grimoire.
They hurled through the air towards Rizzen.
"Read..."
Rizzen whispered, and with wide-open eyes, he just walked forward, weaving through the light blades effortlessly.
The light blades grazed past him, and some of them were really close to hitting him but eventually just missed.
’He has learned Read to a very high level... Much higher level than mine...’
Della thought with sweat falling down her face, and she started to feel some pounding in her head as she was running out of mana.
"Mana Recovery!"
In that moment, Elena blessed Della and recovered some of her mana, but it was just a level 1 skill, so she couldn’t recover it all.
"Thanks, Mom."
Della said with a smile.
Even though it wasn’t much, that Mana Recovery would allow her to make four or five more magic spells.
"..."
Rizzen turned his gaze to Elena.
"You are beautiful too, but unfortunately, I am not into older women, and you’re quite bothersome Helper, so I apologize, but I have to kill you."
Rizzen suddenly vanished. He ran past Della without her even noticing. The wind that followed him carried the scent of blood and death.
"Mom!"
Della whipped her head around and knew that she wouldn’t be able to protect her in time.
Elena’s eyes widened as a spear suddenly appeared right in front of her face. It had a pretty blade, but it was covered in blood.
"Basic Parry!"
At that moment, Fang Raon lunged forward, knocking the spear out of the way before it could strike Elena.
’He knew that as soon as I saw her help Della, I would come for her, and therefore, he was already ready to protect her.’
Rizzen thought as he looked at the face of his younger brother, and for a moment, he was quite impressed.
"Whatever."
Rizzen smashed the spear against Fang Raon’s shield and sent him flying through the air.
"And now you..."
He turned to Elena, but then he sensed something and took a step backward, and one golden blade flew right past his face.
"Your fight is with me!"
Della pulled out a beautiful-looking golden sword from her grimoire and, with that, pushed Rizzen away from her mother.
’I see... Raon never intended to defeat me... He just planned to buy some time for Della to come and save her mother.’
Rizzen thought.
"Ptui..."
After crashing into a tree, Fang Raon wiped the blood off his lips and watched Della fight Rizzen from afar.
’She cannot defeat him... I need to do something...’
He thought, and at that moment, he turned his gaze over to Aizen, who was just watching everything in all his loneliness.
He was alone...
’You want to kill me? Fine, I’ll kill you instead.’
Fang Raon growled.
"..."
In that moment, Aizen sensed his gaze and looked over. He wasn’t smiling, frowning, or showing any emotion at all.
’Stupid son... You think I am an easy target? You still have a lot to learn if you want to lead this family one day. Fine, I shall teach you.’
