Black Online-Chapter 210: I’ll Make You Strong
"Looks like you guys aren’t doing too well, hahahaha!"
Raikou laughed.
"Tch!"
Rock, seeing his granddaughter in trouble, immediately started running over, but then Raikou came from behind and pushed him down to the ground.
"You aren’t going anywhere!"
Raikou said with a smirk.
In that moment, shadows wrapped around Rock, binding his arms and legs so he couldn’t move them at all.
"Try using Maxima now!"
"Argh!"
Rock grunted, but since he couldn’t use his arms, there was no way for him to use Maxima to destroy these shadows.
"Ah!"
Meanwhile, Aizen’s bodyguards grabbed Elena and pushed her down to her knees, and they put their daggers against her throat.
"Kill them!"
Aizen gave the kill order.
"No, Father!"
But then, Fang Raon shouted loudly, which echoed throughout Ymir’s Forest, and he stepped forward with his hands raised in surrender.
"Alright, you won... I’ll come back home. Just... don’t kill them."
He said with a pained gaze.
"..."
Aizen looked at him silently.
It was obvious that he was pondering about something, and Raizen and the rest were waiting to see whether they should still kill the others.
"I can still kill them and get you to come back nonetheless."
Aizen said coldly.
"...You came to get me personally. Therefore, there must be a very important reason for you to make sure that I’ll come back home.
"I highly doubt that killing them is more important."
Fang Raon said.
"And what if I kill them? Then what? I will just drag you home with force if I have to."
Aizen said with a scoff.
"If you kill them... then I will never forgive you."
Fang Raon said coldly.
"..."
Aizen rubbed his chin in thought.
"Let’s just kill them, Father. Who the fuck cares whether Raon forgives you or not. These bastards attacked the Fang Family and they need to pay!"
Raikou shouted.
’Raon is correct. I can’t afford to make an enemy out of him. I still need him for the future of the family since I can’t trust that position in the hands of anybody else.’
Aizen thought.
He then waved his hand.
"Let them go."
Raizen let go of Della, and the bodyguards let go of Elena.
"Damn it!"
Raikou clicked his tongue in frustration and removed the shadows that bound Rock to the ground.
"...Raon."
Della whispered with a sad gaze.
"...Leave. I’ll meet you guys back in the cottage."
Fang Raon said.
She didn’t want to leave, but then Rock grabbed her shoulder, and her mother also urged her to leave.
They looked back at Raon and then slowly walked away.
"I am glad you came to your senses, Raon. I’ll get my top bodyguards to come over to where you live, help you pack, and ensure that you’ll get home in one piece!"
Aizen said.
"...Whatever."
Fang Raon sighed and turned around to leave.
"And remember. If you suddenly decide to change your mind once you’re out of here, I will rain fire on that Rose Records guild until there’s nothing left!"
Aizen shouted.
It wasn’t a threat. It was a promise.
With Raikou’s guild alone, Rose Records wouldn’t stand a chance, and then there was also Anna’s guild.
If that wasn’t enough, there was also Raizen, and even though they wouldn’t be able to send the entire Dead Redemption to destroy Rose Records, Raizen was more than enough.
He alone could decimate the entire guild.
"I understand."
Fang Raon said, and then he left.
Inside the temple shack, Anna opened her left eye, and she then smiled happily at the outcome.
’He is coming back home... I am glad...’
...
It took him a while to walk back from Ymir’s Forest to St. Bella Village, as there was a lot on his mind.
’I am going back home... I would’ve been thrilled before I started playing Black Online, but now... I don’t know how I feel.’
He thought with a sigh.
In that moment, he arrived at the cottage and saw everyone sitting on the porch that had a nice overhead shelter to block off sunlight.
"Raon."
Della called out to him, breaking him out of his thoughts, and he looked over to the three of them.
"Thanks for helping back there."
Fang Raon said with a sigh and sat down on one of the benches on the porch.
"It didn’t really amount to much in the end. Are you alright?"
Rock asked.
"...Yep."
Fang Raon said.
"Are you really going back home to those people?"
Della asked worriedly.
Now that she had finally met his family, she understood why he never mentioned them.
She thought that she had family problems, but his family was on a whole other level, as they were just vile.
"I have no other choice. They’ll destroy Rose Records if I don’t. I am sorry that I brought this kind of bullshit on to you."
Fang Raon said, looking down at the ground in shame.
Della didn’t know what to say to make him feel better, as this also changed a lot of things between them.
She didn’t even know whether he could still keep playing.
"Will you keep playing?"
Rock decided to ask that important question.
"I don’t see why not. Raizen, Raikou, and Anna are playing, so I don’t see why it would be any different for me."
Fang Raon said.
No matter what, he would love to keep playing.
"Can you still stay in Rose Records? What if your father tries to get you to leave and make you join your sister’s guild?"
Della asked.
"I don’t know... I will deal with that if it happens."
Fang Raon said.
"Can I have a word with Raon alone, please?"
Rock asked.
In other words, he wanted for Della and Elena to leave for a moment, and they looked at him briefly before nodding.
They went back inside.
"Do you still want to go to that training ca—"
"Yes."
Fang Raon said immediately.
"Good."
Rock nodded.
"...I heard some stuff back in the Killua Temple. What the hell are Maxima and Read?"
He asked curiously.
"Five Pillars of Power—a special power that comes deep within the human body. It is an unexplained scientific phenomenon, but it exists.
"Not only in Black Online... but in real life. It was discovered in the real life, at first, and then afterwards it was also discovered in here."
Rock said.
"...What is it?"
Fang Raon asked with genuine curiosity.
"Maxima is the power of emotions and pain. You can concentrate on one of your heavy emotions or pain and channel it into an attack.
"With that attack, you can cut through things that shouldn’t be cut, such as those shadows that Raikou used.
"Remember Della’s bright light attack? You can even cut through that with Maxima and destroy the spell."
Rock said.
"And I used that?"
Fang Raon asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Unintentionally, yes. Maxima is different from the rest of the Five Pillars of Power that it cannot be taught initially.
"You need to awaken it first, and in your fight against Raikou, you did awaken it, and now you need to learn how to control it."
Rock said.
"...When I awakened to it, I did feel a lot of hatred and anger, but it felt very... controlled. I controlled that with my shield."
Fang Raon said.
"You accidentally managed to control the Maxima pretty well, I must say. You used hatred and anger, which are very powerful emotions, to use Maxima.
"The more powerful those emotions are, the stronger your Maxima will be."
Rock said.
"What about Read?"
Fang Raon asked.
"It is something that lets you read your opponents’ intentions and, therefore, predict what their next move will be. You can also ’sense’ people.
"The top General’s Game players uses Read to read their opponents, and that’s what Incognito did against you."
Rock said.
"Really?! Why didn’t you tell me that before?"
Fang Raon asked.
"You weren’t ready to learn about these things, and even if you knew, there was nothing you could’ve done.
"Read is also an excellent method to counter Assassins, but if your Read isn’t strong enough, they can still go undetected."
Rock said.
"What are the other Five Pillars of Power?"
He asked curiously.
"There is Skydance... Godspeed... and the last one has several names, such as Reach, Extension, Projection, or Manifest...
"Either way, I will teach you about the Five Pillars of Power during the training camp, so wait till then."
Rock said.
"...Right, about the training camp. I’ve changed my mind about something."
Fang Raon said with a serious look in his eyes.
"What is it?"
Rock asked as his eyebrow jumped in curiosity.
"...I know you planned this training camp to last from a few weeks to a month. That won’t cut it. I won’t learn anything in that short amount of time.
"I am done being weak. I don’t want to do that half-assed training anymore. I want to do proper training."
Fang Raon said seriously.
"...What are you saying?"
Rock asked.
"I don’t want to leave that training camp until I am strong enough to stand against my brothers, no matter how long it takes."
Fang Raon said.
"That could take years."
Rock said in surprise.
"...Then it will take years."
Fang Raon smirked.
"...My training camp has been called the worst kind of punishment. You might want to call it quits after one week already. Do you really think you can survive over a year of that?"
Rock asked with a frown.
"I will."
Fang Raon said, determination burning in his eyes.
"Then you better get ready for it. I’ll make you fucking strong."
Rock grinned.
