Chapter 232: Chapter 232

The citizens of Cernunnos looked into the sky as a metal object they had never seen before descended from the sky. Some were confused, scared, and nervous, while others were curious and wondered what was ’falling’ out of the sky.

King Belwyn and his advisors stood some distance away from the aircraft that was landing in their territory, waiting to greet the person it belonged to.

Because of Sylveth sensing a foreign holy power from the aircraft, everyone knew it belonged to Zion, and they assumed he was the one on board.

The jet landed, the legs of the jet creating a hissing sound as it touched the ground. The engines created a gust of wind so great that people were thrown off their feet and those who could stan still had their clothes fluttering in the wind.

After the engines shut off, a mechanical door opened, acting as a ramp for people to walk on as they left the jet. Once the dust cleared, six people could be seen walking off the ramp.

Lidia, Lacey, Aurora, Ginger, and Alice all stepped to the side, making way for Zion to make his grand entrance.

"I still think I should have been on top of the jet when it landed." He grumbled

Lidia rolled her eyes as they had this conversation already. "What is up with you and that?"

"Something about ’Aura Farming’?" Aurora asked

"Yes! I wanted to Aura Farm!"

Ginger laughed, slapping Zion on the back. "Haha! You know you can’t farm Aura like plants. That doesn’t make any sense."

"No, not that." Zion shook his head. "It means that you look really cool."

Alice tilted her head in confusion. "But you’re already cool. Why would standing on the jet make you any cooler?"

"He’s just extra. Always have been." Lacey reminded everyone.

"That’s true."

"Fair enough."

"He is a bit eccentric sometimes."

"Haha, classic Zion."

"Bruh!" He sighed. "Never mind. You all wouldn’t get it anyway."

"W-Welcome, Apostle Zion." King Belwyn and his advisors, even Sylveth, greeted him. "Please, follow me. We have accommodations prepared for you."

"Seems like they were expecting us," Lacey muttered under her breath. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

"No shit dumbass," Lidia replied

"Excuse me, bitch? Say that again, I dare you."

"What are you gonna do about it, dumbass!"

"Girl, I’ll suffocate you in a pile of shit! Don’t try me!"

Ginger put her arms out. "Both of you, shut up!"

They both ’hmphed’ and followed King Belwyn to his castle.

"Please, make yourself at home for the time being. You’ll be treated as honored guests during your stay." Belwyn led them to a hallway for guests that had multiple large rooms.

He turned to Zion and cleared his throat. "Apostle Zion, if you don’t mind following us to the Royal Conference room, that will be appreciated."

"Sure." He nodded.

"Thank you for your cooperation."

And so, Zion split up from his girls and followed King Belwyn to the conference room where he, alongside his royal advisors and the apostle of Cernunnos, would be having a long conversation.

After taking a seat, the meeting began.

"So, Apostle Zion, may I ask if you’re responsible for the dome that was placed around our land?"

"Yeah, that was me." He admitted casually. He had no reason not to. No need to fake anything when he would be taking over this place anyway.

Everyone looked at each other with complex expressions. On one hand, they were furious, and on the other, they didn’t want to stir the pot and be the reason why Zion decided to destroy their kingdom.

"May I ask why?" Moss questioned.

"Sure, you can. Doesn’t mean I’ll answer." Zion responded with a smirk.

Moss got slightly annoyed. "You!"

"Relax, I’m just messing around. No need to get all upset. I placed the dome around Cernunnos to stop all of you from leaving the place or calling for help, not that it would matter in the long run."

As they expected, Zion didn’t want them to contact other people for help. He wanted them isolated and backed against a wall.

But the beastmen were fierce and wouldn’t submit simply because they were isolated.

"I’ve gotten word about what you did in Midgard. I know you completely took it over and merged it with Algheim and the holy city of light. What is your end goal?" Hollis asked with a nervous expression.

Zion looked at everyone before speaking. He could see their nerves and how each of them was on edge. "Do you want the answer you might be expecting or my honest answer. I promise you that my honest answer is a lot better than what you’re expecting."

They all looked at each other before King Belwyn responded. "Your honest answer will be appreciated."

"Cool. So in truth, I’m not here to enslave you or force you under my rule. Even if I ’take over’ your kingdom, I will still have you, King Belwyn, rule it, and I will use all of my resources to make life better for you all. However, the reason why I need to annex your territory is that I’m on a mission. One that will reshape the world. If you convert to Luminera’s teachings, then all will be well. And if not, then, well, I’ll have to force you to. But even then, I still won’t enslave you all."

Veins were popping out of Sylveth’s head. He was furious. How arrogant could someone be to tell people to convert to another religion while their Apostle was sitting nearby? It was insulting.

"You want us to convert? How dare you suggest such a thing!" Sylveth shouted in a fit of rage.

While the others didn’t voice their opinions, they too felt the same way, and their faces gave that away.

"Hey, you don’t have to if you don’t want to."

"And if we don’t want to?" Sylveth asked

Zion smirked. "You’ll die."

Moss stood up in a fit of rage, slamming his fists on the table so hard that it cracked. "How dare you insult our Apostle!"

Zion took one glance at the bearkin, releasing a portion of his energy, enough to overwhelm the man. "Sit down." He said, his voice carrying immense power.
