Bleach: The Strongest Shinigami-Chapter 228 ⥤ You Dare Kill My People?!
Chapter 228 - 228 ⥤ You Dare Kill My People?!
"What's all this commotion about? It's unseemly!" Akira said disapprovingly, "I, your Captain, am now invincible in this world. Even if that monkey-faced, thunder-mouthed monk showed up, I wouldn't fear him one bit!"
The Quincy shook his head nervously and hurriedly explained what had happened.
After today's training ended, everyone was heading home when they encountered members of another Sternritter squad. Such encounters were common in the Wandenreich, typically ending with simple exchanged greetings.
But this time, before the groups could part ways, the Knights began insulting and mocking the rank-and-file soldiers. Though such incidents occurred often, with soldiers usually swallowing their pride in silence, this time was different — the other side had also insulted Akira.
This infuriated everyone. Several hot-headed individuals shouted back fearlessly, and once one took the lead, other soldiers joined in condemning their despicable behavior and demanding an apology to Captain Senju.
But these Sternritter members were nothing but problem children with the worst personalities.
They immediately drew their Heilig Bogen and fired a Heilig Pfeil, scattering the Quincy formation, expecting the rank-and-file soldiers to cower before their power.
Reality proved them very wrong.
The attacked Quincy released their Heilig Bogen, gathered Reishi, formed Heilig Pfeil, and unleashed thousands of arrows in an instant.
These were Quincy trained by Akira — once they identified their enemy, they had only one thought: shoot to kill.
The battle between Knights and soldiers erupted instantly.
Though the rank-and-file soldiers fought with fearless determination, the power gap proved too great. After one exchange, they fell into disadvantage.
Hearing this, Akira flew into a rage.
He didn't fear challenges — in fact, he welcomed them. But attacking his subordinates like this was unforgivable.
Indeed, there were scum everywhere.
He didn't need guidance. His Reiatsu expanded, instantly detecting the Reishi waves in the air.
A Hirenkyaku shot skyward, vanishing into the distance.

At the Seventh Spire, Candice Catnipp held her Heilig Bogen with a stoic expression, firing a Heilig Pfeil backward that struck the towering figure before her, triggering an immediate explosion.
The powerful shockwave burst forward but was completely blocked by the opponent's Blut Vene.
She didn't retreat, instead flashing to another position and repeating her attack.
As a member of the First Vanguard, she had received unprecedented respect from her Captain. He had even praised her hair multiple times and given her a high-quality comb.
How dare anyone insult someone who understood girls' feelings and had such a gentle heart?
Candice was furious. Whether as a subordinate or as someone who admired and looked up to the Captain, she wouldn't back down a single step!
She took a deep breath, concentrated Reishi into a brilliant, dazzling Heilig Pfeil, and launched her strongest attack forward.
"Who dares attack us? A mere outsider, a lowly creature — how dare you serve as Vice-Captain? Look at that barbaric fighting style, without an ounce of elegance. You dare call yourself a Quincy? Since you raise your hands against your superiors, you can all die! Killing trash like you will only make me stronger. Then I'll take out that Hashirama Senju and become vice-captain myself!"
Driscoll Berci's face twisted with cruelty.
They were mere pawns, yet they dared attack him, a Sternritter. Did they truly believe he wouldn't kill them?
Reishi gathered in his hands, forming razor-sharp spears that emanated a fierce aura. Without hesitation, he hurled the spirit spear at the incoming Heilig Pfeil.
Boom!
An explosive roar reverberated, followed by crisscrossing light.
The shockwave transformed into streams of scorching flames, tearing through everyone nearby, burning through distant buildings, penetrating inner palaces, and shooting wildly out the other side.
Only when the Reishi exhausted itself did the destruction finally cease.
"Hmm?" Driscoll studied his attacker. Though mere cannon fodder, worthless to the empire and His Majesty, they possessed surprising power.
This Heilig Pfeil's strength rivaled that of a lesser Knight.
"No matter." He ran fingers through his thick black hair, lips curling into a cruel smile, "Better if you're strong — killing you will only make me stronger! The strongest Knight under His Majesty should be me..."
Before finishing his boast, Driscoll struck, backhanding a spirit spear that tore through the air toward Candice.
But Candice, familiar with such base tactics, was ready. She dodged with a Hirenkyaku, easily avoiding the would-be fatal blow. The spirit spear struck a nearby building — another explosion rang out as walls crumbled to ruins, stirring clouds of dust.

A four-directional destruction formation spread out, trapping the remaining three Sternritter within. The Reishi impact exploded inside as the ground groaned beneath its force.
But Jerome Guizbatt's single "Roar" reduced this combined assault to ash.
Visible sound waves rippled outward, shattering the Quincy's attacks. Blood burst from their eyes, ears, noses, and mouths — a horrific sight.
Though not considered mighty among the Sternritter, Jerome could still overwhelm ordinary Quincy with ease.
"Battle is always tragic, especially when subordinates rise against superiors." PePe, dark-skinned and blob-like, floated on a sky platform, spittle flying as he spoke.
His expression burned with fanatical excitement, as if undertaking some holy mission.
"Ignorant ones, accept my love!"

His hands formed a heart, brewing heterochromatic matter within, firing in all directions like a machine gun.
Any Quincy struck would turn against their companions, unable to control themselves.
Berenice Gabrielli held back his Schrift. In his words, these small fry weren't even worthy of having "Questions" raised against them.
Reishi wrapped his hands as each swing of his spirit blade carved cracks through ground and walls. Within dozens of meters, his slashes tore through the Quincy's defenses, leaving their flesh in ghastly wounds.
Just as Driscoll prepared to deliver the fatal blow to these defeated soldiers, an overwhelming Reiatsu descended. He looked toward its source, eyes widening, breath catching in his throat.
A figure, brilliant as a meteor, fell from the spire above, heading straight for his position. A grin far more savage than his own appeared right before him!
Driscoll panicked and unleashed all his Reiatsu at once, forming a lightning-like Heilig Pfeil that he hurled at the demon-like figure approaching him.
A merciless attack at full power! The air itself tore apart as fierce winds erupted. Countless brilliant spirit beams howled through the sky, staining the void with their light.
Yet the attacker casually caught this ultimate attack with one hand, then — before Driscoll's disbelieving eyes — shattered it with a spine-chilling crack.
Gleaming spirit fragments scattered downward like spring rain.
"How is this possible..." Driscoll muttered, his rugged face filled with disbelief.
He had thought that even if he wasn't equal to Hashirama Senju, the gap wouldn't be too large. Just kill a few hundred people, accumulate some power, and then he could defeat him.
But now his full-power attack had been crushed as if it were nothing. This difference wasn't something that killing a few hundred people could bridge.
The human meteor crashed into the solid ground, creating a massive crater several meters wide.
From the settling dust emerged a figure, cold gleaming eyes surveying the frozen battlefield.
Violent killing intent surged forth as his Reiatsu locked onto the four figures in the ruins — two muscular men, one blob of fat, and one blonde.
"Damn Sternritter!" Akira's face twisted into a savage grin, "You dare kill my men?"
The moment those words left his mouth, Driscoll's heart clenched. He instinctively moved to escape with Hirenkyaku, but before his foot could even shift, Blue Flames erupted skyward.
Practice what you preach — Akira had always held this as his golden rule, whether taught by the old man or by Jugram.
"Guaaahhh!!"
Caught in the Reishi flames, Driscoll let out a weak man's wail. The scorching heat roasted his massive frame until it sizzled like cooking oil.
Though he quickly activated his Blut Vene and summoned a spirit shield for defense, still he screamed within the burning blue flames.
When others finally extinguished the flames, Driscoll had turned charcoal black, now looking remarkably similar to Jerome beside him.
Seeing his pitiful state, the other three felt an inexplicable chill in their hearts.
Blue Flames were just a basic Quincy technique — in raw power, they couldn't even match a small Heilig Pfeil. Yet in Hashirama's hands, this simple ability had nearly burned a Knight to cinders.
This guy — was he some kind of monster?
"Don't panic, we can't lose our composure. He's just one person, while there are four of us."
"That's right, we have the advantage! Together, we'll teach this guy a lesson!"
At these words, Berenice struck. He raised his hand to deliver a slash, transforming the Heilig Pfeil into a blade of pressure that swept forward. As he attacked, he activated his Schrift ability.
⤫ Schrift: Q ⥤ Sacred Letter: The Question! ⤬
"Hashirama Senju, I question everything about you!" Berenice declared, already envisioning Akira split in half.
His Schrift was elegantly simple yet devastating. Any enemy whose actions were questioned had to refute the challenge, or it would become reality. In the heat of battle, with attacks coming in an instant, there was no time to refute — death was certain!
Snap!
A crisp sound echoed as Berenice froze. The supposedly lethal attack had been caught in Akira's grip. With a bone-chilling crack, before countless watching eyes, the blade of Heilig Pfeil pressure crumbled to nothing.
Reishi scattered from Akira's palm as his fierce gaze locked onto the four huddled figures ahead.
The Question — utterly ineffective!
Terror struck the others as they desperately activated their Schrift abilities.
⤫ Schrift: R ⥤ Sacred Letter: The Roar! ⤬
Jerome transformed into a towering red-faced gorilla and unleashed a devastating "Roar". Visible sound waves thundered outward like a tidal wave.
Akira merely plugged his ears and faced the onslaught head-on.
It wasn't contempt — the Sternritter were indeed powerful, but limited. Save for a few who rivaled low-ranking Shinigami Captains, most barely matched Kensei's strength.
Beyond the Wandenreich's walls, both Soul Society and Hueco Mundo held plenty who could humble them.
These four were the weakest of the weak. Yhwach's acknowledgment and their Schrift powers had made them think themselves invincible, but they remained mere frogs in a well.
Akira released his hands, dropped into a fighting stance, and vanished in Hirenkyaku, materializing before Berenice.
His opponent tried desperately to unleash "The Question" again, but Akira struck first — a single punch wreathed in blazing Blue Flames engulfed Berenice completely.
When the inferno cleared, nothing remained!
One punch, one kill!
The remaining three's hair stood on end as survival instincts screamed at them to flee.
But Akira wouldn't let them escape. Like an unstoppable force, he delivered single, devastating blows to each opponent. In his wake, earth shattered and towers crumbled to dust.
Though familiar with their Captain's might, only now did the watching Quincy truly grasp the depths of his power.
Such overwhelming strength!
As justice was served, the surviving Quincy, faces flushed with excitement, erupted in passionate cheers:
"Captain Senju, we admire you!"
