Bloodline Reckoning: The System Made Me Filthy Rich-Chapter 81: Flirting!
Chapter 81: Flirting!
Even after finishing his wine and settling into his seat, Noah’s mind was still filled with a plan to approach Lucas Graham without revealing his true intentions—to eliminate him.
Approaching Lucas Graham is extremely risky and challenging because he’s not just a regular person — he’s more like a devil. He is Satan himself who has taken over the actual Lucas Graham. He is cunning by nature and can easily sense if danger is near.
He needs to be cautious around him; he must not let his guard down or show his emotions in front of Lucas Graham, or else that man will realize he’s a hunter who has come to take his life.
Sigh!
’Why does my first target seem more powerful than I am?’
’Sir, there’s no rush. The important thing is to locate him. Now that you know who he was, you’ll find a way to eliminate him.’
Noah could only chuckle inwardly, hearing how Zoe seemed relaxed after he found Lucas Morgan.
Her calmness is entirely different from her annoying side—she always urges him to make a move to find his target.
Now, the girls ask him to calm down and say there’s no need to rush.
He was left speechless.
Just as Noah was about to vent his frustration, Zoe’s voice echoed in his mind again.
’Sir, there’s something more urgent than Lucas Graham.’
Noah was stunned.
’Who?’ he asked, worriedly.
’That girl—’
Noah didn’t need to ask Zoe again, as his gaze caught Alexis Moore walking towards him with her captivating smile.
She looked stunning in her black wrap dress, which hugged her figure perfectly.
"Hi Noah, I finally found you..."
Alexis greeted him with a warm smile as she sat beside him.
Noah was taken aback in a good way by her musky scent. It brought back memories of the passionate kiss they shared that day, making his heart race a little faster.
"Hi..." Noah responds briefly, avoiding her low cleavage that nearly exposed her full breasts.
When he tries to avoid it, Alexis moves closer to him and continues to ask cheerfully.
"I’ve been trying to find you all around this hall, but I can’t see you. Have you just arrived?" Alexis asked, her eyes shining with curiosity as she looked at Noah.
"I stood over there..."
Noah pointed at the corner, the spot where he was hiding to avoid anyone who wanted to talk to him.
His goal of coming here had already been fulfilled; he found his target, Lucas Graham. However, out of respect for the inviter, Mr. President, he stayed for dinner.
Soon, dinner began.
But Alexis still kept talking to him in her low, soft voice to make sure only he heard her.
"Geez... No wonder I couldn’t find you earlier, I was looking around the middle of the room. I thought you were chatting with the others."
Noah silently sighs before gently responding, "To be honest with you, I didn’t know anyone here, but I couldn’t avoid Mr. President’s invitation, could I?"
Alexis rolled her eyes, hearing his answer, and continued finishing her appetizer.
She then glanced at Noah again, silently protesting with her eyes, which left Noah puzzled.
"You know what, Alexis? If you keep staring at me like that, it actually makes you look less pretty..."
Noah said with a relaxed tone, but Matthew and Alexis, who overheard that, were taken aback.
Matthew stifled a smile as he watched Noah flirt with Alexis. Not wanting to be the third wheel, he silently enjoyed his meal while overhearing their conversation.
Alexis feels her cheeks heat up as she hears Noah praise her beauty. She presses her lips together, holding back her happy smile. She didn’t want to seem too obvious in front of him.
"Thank you, Noah, you praise me pretty..." she whispered shyly and continued to eat, trying to hide her blushing cheeks.
Noah frowned at her words.
’When did I praise her?’ Noah asked himself, trying to remember, but he was sure he hadn’t praised her earlier.
He set aside his curiosity and followed the others to finish dinner, hoping this boring party would end soon.
Right now, he just wanted to go home and talk about Lucas Morgan with Matthew and Edgar.
...
Before long,
The dinner finally wraps up, and Noah finds himself unable to get away from Alexis.
However, Alexis was too clingy to ask him to join her for a drink at a fancy bar, even though he had already politely declined a few times.
Her persistence gives him a headache.
He glanced at Matthew, who walked behind them.
’Can you make her stop following us?’ Noah asks Matthew through their mind link.
Matthew was surprised to hear Noah’s pleading tone. He glanced at him and smirked.
’Sir, why? I thought you liked her? I saw you flirting with her at the dining table...’
Noah was speechless upon hearing that. He takes a deep breath silently, starting to feel frustrated.
’What the hell are you trying to say, Matt? When did I ever try to flirt with her?’ Noah snapped, his voice filled with anger.
’Oh! You are not?’ Matthew slightly gasped but then smiled at him. ’Sorry, boss. Alright, alright, I will stop her...’
’Thank you!’
Noah felt relieved as he stepped out of the building. He finally heard Matthew stop Alexis, making an excuse that they still had a business meeting to attend.
Alexis, however, doubts it right away. She glanced at Matthew, who was now walking beside Noah.
"Mr. Graham, it’s nearly ten. Who was Noah trying to meet at this time?" She asked.
’Heaven! Should I use my ability on her?’ Noah wondered. For some reason, he felt reluctant to use anything related to his system on Alexis.
Before Noah could get a chance to speak, all of a sudden, a loud voice boomed from behind them.
"Noah, I finally found you. Let’s finish up what we started..."
Noah and Matthew immediately turn to look at Lucas Graham.
"Come on, young man, hop in my car!"
Lukas Graham casually motioned for Noah to follow him to the black Maybach that just pulled up in front of them.
