Part 14: The Unlikely Alliance (Mafia Chaos and Laughter)
The night was heavy with tension as Leo and the rest of the Tensai-kai mafia group gathered inside their headquarters. They had just received word of a new, dangerous player entering the city. The Shirogane Syndicate, an old rival group, was making its move, and Leo wasn't sure whether to be worried or amused.
"What's the plan, Dante?" Leo asked, standing with his arms crossed, his brow furrowed. He had learned over the years to always ask Dante first. After all, he was the leader, and Leo knew better than to question him-at least, not openly.
Dante, sitting back in his chair with a confident smirk, looked like he was already plotting something. "The plan is simple," he said, eyeing Leo. "We make an alliance with Shirogane."
Leo blinked. "Alliance?" He had heard right, hadn't he? "Are you sure? I mean, those guys would stab us as soon as we turn our backs."
"Well, that's the beauty of it," Dante replied, his tone casual. "We don't turn our backs. We make them think we're on their side."
Marco, who had been sitting quietly, chimed in with his usual mischievous grin. "Don't worry, Leo. We'll all play nice. But keep the knives handy."
Leo could only sigh. "Right. Because nothing says 'friendly alliance' like keeping sharp objects close."

The Shirogane Syndicate: A Meeting Like No Other
The Shirogane Syndicate's headquarters was as luxurious as it was intimidating. High-end decor, marble floors, and walls adorned with intimidating artwork filled the massive building. As Leo walked through the corridors, he couldn't help but feel a sense of discomfort. These guys didn't play by the same rules
they played by their own rules, and those rules usually involved a lot of people ending up in uncomfortable situations.
Hiroshi Shirogane, the head of the rival group, greeted them in a dimly lit, expensive office. He was tall, well-groomed, and dressed in a sharp suit that looked like it cost more than Leo's entire wardrobe. A small smirk tugged at the corners of his mouth as he sized them up.
"Dante," Hiroshi said, his voice cool. "It's been a while."
"Not long enough," Dante replied, his smile never faltering.
Leo was watching everything, trying to read the situation. There was something off about this meeting. Hiroshi didn't seem like the kind of person who would suddenly become friendly with a rival group, especially not without a reason.
"What's the deal, Hiroshi?" Leo asked, unable to resist. "You're not exactly known for making friends."
Hiroshi let out a soft chuckle. "I don't need friends, Leo. What I need is someone who can help me deal with a bigger problem. And that, my friend, is where you come in."
Leo exchanged a glance with Marco. "Bigger problem? What do you mean?"
Hiroshi leaned forward, his face serious for the first time. "There's someone in town causing trouble. A much bigger threat than any of us. We need to work together to eliminate this problem before they turn their sights on us."
Leo crossed his arms. "And you think we'll just work with you because you ask nicely?"
Hiroshi's grin returned. "You'll work with me because it's in your best interest. We don't have time for egos or grudges."
The Game of Negotiation
It didn't take long for the discussion to turn into a heated negotiation. Leo found himself getting frustrated. Hiroshi had a way of turning everything into a game-a power struggle where only the most cunning survived.
"So what exactly is the plan?" Leo asked, trying to get some clarity.
"The plan is simple," Hiroshi said, leaning back in his chair with a smirk. "We take out the threat together, and then we'll talk about how to divide the spoils."
Leo was about to respond when Enzo suddenly spoke up. "And what's stopping you from turning on us once we do all the hard work, huh?"
Hiroshi's eyes narrowed. "Nothing's stopping me. But I'd prefer to keep things clean."
Marco shot Leo a look. "Let's just do this. We don't have a choice."
Leo gritted his teeth but nodded. It was clear that they had little choice in the matter. Still, something didn't sit right with him. It felt too easy.
Mafia Diplomacy: The Fun Part
The meeting continued, and Leo couldn't help but feel the atmosphere becoming strangely light. Between the threats, the tense talks, and Hiroshi's ever-present smirk, it felt like something was about to go wrong—and that's when it did.
"Alright," Hiroshi said, his voice suddenly upbeat. "Let's take a break and have some fun, huh?"
Leo raised an eyebrow. "Fun?"
"Yes," Hiroshi said, pointing to a table in the corner. "I'm not all business, you know. I thought we could unwind with a little game. Poker, maybe."
Leo looked at Dante for guidance, but Dante just shrugged. "Go ahead, kid. Have fun."
So, against all better judgment, Leo sat down at the poker table with Hiroshi and his men. And just like that, the atmosphere shifted. The tense, life-or-death stakes turned into something more... entertaining.
They played for hours, laughing, exchanging jabs, and trying to outwit each other. Hiroshi was surprisingly good at bluffing, while Leo had his fair share of moments where he almost lost his shirt-but in the end, they all had a good time. Leo was still wary, but he couldn't deny that the humor was a nice break from the usual mafia chaos.
