Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates-Chapter 256: What would a chargeless Plasma Gun be good for?
Jimmy was not combative. He was strategic.
His strengths lay in the fact that he could wipe out armies with the aid of strategies, assuming he had enough time to prepare. His skills were set to stone recently, as he kept his people relatively safe from waves of enemies.
The situation they were in now was an exception, as his plans failed because the enemies used the bodies of their comrades to walk past the rocky barricade. Paired with the fact that half of the shooters were shitting themselves as soon as things started going wrong, one part of his general plan was destined to fail.
Within the depths of hell that this battle engulfed him in, he tried to stay calm. He was not a combative person, and he definitely wasn’t built for it physically, as he was still a relatively young man, so he knew that he would not benefit from it if he decided to go apeshit, and fight people with his bare fists.
He tried to take comfort in the fact that his people were alive, although half of them wounded, and so, he acted accordingly. He had no plan, he didn’t need it, he just fought back the best way he knew how.
The enemy had been close to him long enough for him to tap into their heartbeats. Not to mention, Hannah and Gaark were protecting him as if he was a prized possession.
Hannah used her special abilities to essentially perform the task of a human shield. She could not get hurt, so she withstood the blow of seven spears already, each of which failed to pierce through her skin-tight force field, just so she could protect Jimmy.
He would’ve died at least five times already if it wasn’t for her.
As for Gaark, he simply punched the shit out of the enemy. He did not have Dinosaur Strength, his abilities were considered special, though not physically enhancing, but he was fat enough to put some real power behind his punches anyway. He knocked many of them out before they could cause any damage. He hasn’t even been wounded yet, as he jumped over spears, as if he was a frantic rabbit.
With people like that protecting him, Jimmy finally carved himself an advantage. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
He identified six heartbeats of the enemy, and he took his sweet time too, because he didn’t want to confuse them with the heartbeats of his people.
Afterwards, within two seconds, he killed those six enemies, six targets, by stopping their hearts. He clogged their hearts up, and so they dropped to the ground, and were maimed by others.
He could have exploded their hearts all together, and he knew that he was capable enough to do so, but he had stepped into the end game of this battle with only thirty-five percent of mana to his name. With wounded people to consider, he had to be efficient with how he fought back, and so the six people he killed only cost him three-percent of his mana.
This was the best way he knew how to fight, and he was hoping that it was enough.
When the enemy numbers got mowed down to forty, he looked at Gutaxun, who had been grabbing enemies, and tossing them away from the people he knew, and cared to protect, leaving large bite marks on their torsos. He looked at Gutaxun, and yelled for his attention.
Gutaxun dropped what he was doing, essentially dropping, or hurling an enemy twenty feet away, and then he rushed towards Jimmy.
Jimmy quickly tapped Hannah on the shoulder, and told her, "Get the wounded out of here, they’re too vulnerable. Fling them on top of Gutaxun’s back, and ride him out of here."
"But the battle is almost over!" She pointed out.
"It takes a single second for those bastards to kill our own," He yelled out, "Get the wounded out of here, right now!"
Hannah was pumped with adrenaline, but as she took one look at the battlefield, she immediately knew what Jimmy meant.
It would take two worlds to get someone like Zik to abandon this battle, yes, so she didn’t even bother with him.
However, she then considered the other wounded people, who were already on the ground, and were struggling to move. They could not fight, not nearly, as they couldn’t even protect themselves, so she understood why it was imperative to get them out of harm’s way.
Jimmy planted a little thought on Gutaxun’s head, costing him a single percent of mana, and so, Gutaxun was now following Hannah around, standing like a guard dog behind her, as she quickly grabbed the wounded, and leaped with either one of them on her arms, laying them on Gutaxun’s back.
In under a minute’s time, she got all of the wounded that could not fight back, out of danger’s way. Twelve of them, to be exact, which was more than a third of the people who had volunteered to fight today.
The rest of the volunteers, be it close family, girlfriends, or random people, were holding their own.
Lasra got burned by a fireball, but this did not stop her. She was lucky that the foot-wide fireball had only hit the left side of her ribs, towards the bottom. A shot like that, although delivering a third-degree burn, was not enough to kill her, or even put any of her internal organs into stress, so she kept fighting, using her plasma cannon as a bat.
Within the searing pain burdening her, she, a mother who had spent half of her life in isolation, tried her best to keep up with the changing tides of battle, and even the changing tides of technology.
She was hurting, she was confused, and she even was a bit scared, but she did not stop. Death did not scare her enough, and therefore, every swing of hers was powered by a woman who did not care to know what right or wrong was. She just wanted the enemy to die, so her pain, her confusion could die along with them.
